Dating to around 1910. This lovely quite petite table is constructed of solid oak and has a beautiful tiger grain pattern. It has a warm. Mellow patina to its honey brown colouring. The table features fantastic grain patterns to the top surface. Achieved through the use of oak planks, rather than one piece of timber. It also gives it a more rustic, casual dining feel. It stands on lovely turned and fluted legs and has a substantial shaped stretcher base. The table will comfortably seat 4, or 6 people if smallish chairs are used. The table measures 120cm long. 89cm wide and the table surface is 77cm high. The table is in very good antique condition. Structurally strong and robust. It does have some scratching and bumps to the table surface, but these only add to the charm and character of the piece, and provide that more rustic feel- very chic! As with all quality antique and vintage furniture, age-appropriate wear and character marks should be expected. I have a gorgeous dining room table only. It is 72" round made of heavy solid wood. I believe Oak, but not sure. It is a versatile table and goes with all decor, from country to formal! I have had it in my family for 21 years and the person I bought it from had it in their family for years. The table is in storage as I haved moved and it does not fit. The previous owner used both bases with a 7' rectangular glass top as her formal dining table. We have the matching chairs listed separately. The table base is superbly hand crafted of wrought iron with a painted and carved wood medallion located near the bottom of the base. The TABLE BASE IS EXTREMELY STURDY. IT IS HEAVY AND WEIGHS 45lbs. It features a beautiful verdigris. Factory painted finish. The finish is accented with black, splattered accents which also gives the table base a textured feel. The wood medallion is washed in green. It features deep, raised relief carvings of acanthus leaf scrolls and a floral accent which is finished in ... morean orange brown. The table base can house a piece of glass up to 54" which would seat 4 people quite comfortably. This is such a beautiful and quality piece. It is not at all comparable to the imported pieces sold in retail chains. It is in very good condition with very little evidence of age or use. This unique sculptural base has one factory hole in each of the top stems to accommodate screwing into a wood top. Each of the"legs" have a steel floor cap. Made in England Circa 1960 Yew wood Single pedestal Sturdy Minor repair to banding, Done is a spectacular yew wood. This single pedestal dining table will serve your family for years to come. While on our hunts for wonderful antique furniture in England sometimes we find great pieces of yew wood furniture like this single pedestal dining table. I love yew wood which has a mellow color and wispy grain that is often speckled with tiny ... moreknots or“birds eyes” Yew is a wood native to England and was the wood originally used to make the English long bow back in the Medieval era. It is also used to make beautiful musical instruments. We have dated this table to about 1960 and of English origin. The maker complemented the yew wood top by adding a mahogany cross banded border. This border helps define the round shape of the single pedestal dining table. The pedestal is a turned pedestal with four splay legs that end in brass claw foot casters. We have rated the condition of this round table as good. It is sturdy and strong and ready for everyday use. The only flaw is a small repaired section of the banding which we have included a close up photo of. This is all that prevents the piece from being considered excellent condition. The repair was well done and is not glaringly obvious. Overall this is a great table that will serve your home or office for many years to come! The height from the floor to the bottom of the apron is 26.75″ A gorgeous yew wood round dining table. The yew creates beautiful patterns and colors with its grain. Here is a close up of the wood. Charming 4' Vintage 1950s-Era Wood School Work Dining Table w/Laminate Top
For auction is one simple 1950s-era public school work table. It has solid wood legs and frame and a laminate top edged with a wide aluminum band. It is in good condition and still retains all of the marks and graffiti left by generations of children. The laminate top is a pale gray with a woven pattern and is in good condition overall. Aside from some fine dark scratches throughout and a small indentation(pictured) One of the corners has been dented in slightly, which chipped and raised the very edge of the laminate(pictured) Both long sides of the wood frame have markings; one side has a series of thin vertical lines and the other has a more noticeable cluster to the left. Gorgeous Mid Century 1976 burl wood dining table by Milo Baughman. Very hard to find. Overall good condition. The top is in very nice condition. The legs have some damage(more on the inside of the legs) some scraping. This is not very noticeable when you have chairs with the table. I only have the one leaf as shown and there should be another leaf or two. So. This table can be a square 40' X 40' and 29 1/4' tall or it can be 59' L X 40' W X 29 1/4' H. You could do a lot of cool things with the table. I was thinking to have two new leaves made out of brass(brass plate) and use them in the table or you could have chrome leaves or a variety of things made.
