Take a look at this magnificent piece! It’s a tiger sawn. Quarter sawn table– and I mean ALL over it– including the trunk, the legs, the claw feet, the rolled skirt and the top. It dates from 1900, in refinished condition. It has a split pedestal base with humongous claw feet and legs much, much bigger than normal, on a multi-turned fluted oversized column that splits in the middle, just like a Hastings, although I couldn’t find any manufacturer’s marking on this table. The table top is 54 inches round, with a rolled skirt, which means it isn’t flat but is concave, and really dresses up the table. The selection of veneer used on the top is the secret of this table’s beauty. It’s hard to duplicate this with solid wood, which is why they used lots of veneer back in those days. The veneer on this table top is in really nice condition, and there is only one spot you can see where there was a nick in a corner, which has been all repaired and is now fine. This table is all nice, tight and sturdy and ready for another 100 years of use, after being stripped, sanded, stained in a beautiful dark oak color that brings out the gorgeous grains, and then had multiple hand-rubbed coats of satin sheen lacquer applied for a durable finish that will last for years. It is truly a nice period untouched table. It has a ribbon mahogany top, round corner drop leaves, heavy bold column four legged base, solid cast brass Duncan Phyfe claw foot and built in castors. I normally don’t buy period furniture like this, but I was very impressed by how untouched this piece was. The overall size is 40.5 inches long, 24 inches wide when the leaves are closed, 15 inches wide on each leaf, 52 inches long when the leaves are flipped up. The finish is very nice for being 180 years old. It does show normal nicks, dings and scratches, but I believe it would rub out nicely to make a good presentation.

JDI Collection Real Solid Oak! Custom Carved Ball & Claw Foot Coffee Table Nice!
You are looking at one fine piece of furniture. Part of JDI Collection* and purchased new by the current owner 25 years ago for a larger home than the bungalow* she now resides in. She paid just under a $1000.00 for it from an elite furniture store. The photos say it best. I have included with and without flash photos so you can see it the hues in different lights. To my eye it is a bit less red and a bit more golden(typical of fine oak) then either set of photos shows. Since the carved legs stand proud the base is larger than the top surface. The base is approximately 40" x 40" outside foot edge to outside foot edge) and the top is 36+" x 36+" Stands 17" off the floor. I have checked the web and a comparative is about $1200.00 today from JDI. Beware of lovely looking carved tables that are not the real thing. I found ... morea similar in appearance table that was selling for $400 to $600 dollars on line at 6 different web sites-read the review from a customer who paid several hundred dollars for it on line- Ball and Claw Coffee Table by Coaster We bought this because it looks great. It looks"heavy" it is actually made with pressed wood and synthetic materials. The legs won't even hold the screws tight. Bottom line. It"looks" great but is poorly made. NO PRESSED WOOD HERE! Look at the solid-thick-heavy oak legs. They are as tight to the frame as the day it was sold. This table is lifetime quality and may become a family heirloom. The pedestal was recently French polished by an English master craftsman and is in excellent condition today. With a 45″ diameter this tilt top table would serve perfectly as a small dining table. This listing is for a Thomasville mahogany dining table. It is in great condition and have had very little use. It has 2 leafs and claw feet on wheels. It is pictured with one leaf. The measurements as shown with one leaf are 88" long. 44" wide, and 29.5" high. The additional leaf ads another 20" to the length. Purchased new and only had the pleasure of being used for dinner service twice. We are listing for local pick-up. Please message us with any questions.

Offered here for auction is a Kittinger Side Table with a Hexagon Top and a Fancy 3 Sided Claw Foot Base. This Kittinger Table is signed on the bottom with a Burn Mark that reads. Kittinger Furniture Buffalo" and the"646" See Photo#10& 11) This table is in very good solid shape with no major chips or gouges, however, it does need to be refinished because there are many surface scratches and little tiny white rings on the top.
