This fabulous early dresser is from Chicora Wood Plantation; an historical Rice plantation in South Carolina that was built in 1817. We believe this dresser to have its original rich finish. Original marble and mirror and the original early wood ring drawer pulls that are attached with wooden screws and blocks, and the original casters intact on the base. This high quality dresser has early dove-tailed construction on the dresser base top up under the marble and also on the drawer ends; and an old label with an original owners name handwritten with Chicora, SC written below on the base up under the marble. This dresser has a grand, majestic presence with incredible carvings and details; and amazingly left in its original state.you can almost feel the history in this piece when you touch it.incredible! This grand 19th century dresser measures 89 1/2 inches tall to the top of the fancy carved crest on the mirror. There are a few places in the top carved details where the wood is cracked and beginning to split. There is a small trim piece missing from the front top decorative piece, in the “dragon’s tail”. I think the wood could be walnut the more I look at it in this dark finish. The overall size is 21 inches square and 35 inches high overall. Antique Victorian Bed Desk Cabinet Walnut Topper Crest Salvaged Wood Pediment
Old topper probably off of a bed but would make a nice wall or door pediment. Painted with an old coat of light green paint over walnut wood. The crest is very deeply carved with the curved top part protruding out about 3 1/2" from the face. Has no damage except a chip which is in the back so really a non issue. Has a small hole drilled into the face so as to mount to the wall with a screw. This thing is huge.measures about 19" wide X about 15" tall X about 6 1/2" thick at the thickest point. TThis Victorian style cradle/baby/doll bed is made of solid wood. It is primarily oak. Stained a medium walnut color. It has slotted screws and is in excellent condition. It is 25" high at the headboard. It is 38.5" long and 21" wide. The mattress is not included but the size of a standard changing table mattress fits perfectly. The rockers are in perfect condition and have never been broken or repaired. The base of the bed is constructed of five hemp fiber ropes which run parallel to the head and footboards. The sides of the cradle fold out flat for ease of use or display. A very unique feature. This cradle appears to be hand made with much fluting. Hand details and with turned spindles. The space between the spindles is 4.5" It is not recommended for a baby with today's safety standards, but would be absolutely stunning ... moreroom decor for a doll or stuffed animal collection. This is a very clean antique Victorian style doll bed. Not sure of the wood used but has a darker stain finish. Slats on bpttom of bed come right out. Headboard has a nice curved style with raised insets. I did disass emble the bed and found some old glue reside on the inset ends that fit together. Giant. Antique, architectural panel. Solid walnut construction and guaranteed an authentic, Victorian era piece. It has thick, bevelled trim along the bottom and raised bevelled panels far left and right. 2 vertical, fluted columns have contoured bases and round medallions at top. In the middle is a leafy carving with another raised, bevelled panel surrounding it. Above the beveled cornice trim is a dramatic sunrise decoration. This whopper measures 38 1/2 inches wide and just over 22 3/4 inches tall. The very top looks like it is missing something and the far right area has a darker patina.
