Featuring beautiful& solid Tiger Stripe Oak construction. It opens up to become a bed! Have a look at the gorgeous Tiger Stripe grain figure throughout; with beautiful Incised& Leaf carvings& ribbed apron base. A couple small bits of carving on the corners missing, touched up to blend. The upholstery is not original, re-done at some point in time but it is cheerful& perfectly servicable with no holes, tears or odors. The upholstery could be easily recovered in you choose. Oak Eastlake 3/4 bed with side rails Victorian
Oak Eastlake bed from the late 1800's or early 1900's. It is the 3/4 size with the attaching side rails. At one time it was painted a light blue which is still present on the back of the headboard. Fortunately nothing was damaged and the patina is still intact and the excellent eastlake workmanship is not impaired. It seems like many individuals aren't too successful selling just one piece of furniture on Ebay.So I've included close to half of what I would like to find a new home. This bed is in surprisingly good condition for its age! The original finish has slightly alligatored in places. The bed also has its original wooden castors! Someone has installed a nightlight on the headboard and switch to turn it off on the footboard! This could easily be removed, especially if the bed was refinished. A Pair of English Antique Edwardian Inlaid Golden Oak Tea/ Serving/ Drinks/ Bed Trays More pictures Below. They are made of solid oak. Cut to show off the flecking in the grain. They have solid brass loop handles. The inlay is a neo-classical geometric pattern and has kept it colour far better than much Edwardian furniture. This item will have been made and probably retailed. In London. I have had them for half a dozen years. It came from a provincial auction in North Derbyshire. Dimensions Larger Length 60cm 23 ½ inches Width 41.5 cm 16 ¼ inches Smaller Length 49.5cm 19 1/4 inches Width 34cm 13 ¼ inches They are in good overall condition with the odd sign of age. The top has edges have some knocks to the corners– as you would expect. Oak Full/Queen-Sized Bed Headboard& Footboard: I'm not sure what era this comes from. But it appears to be older. Although it was intended for a fullsize bed, it can be made to accommodate a queen size bed by adding adjustable metal plates to the metal siderails. Please note that neither the siderails nor these optional additional metal plates are included in this auction but are readily available from bedding stores. Both the head and footboards have fantastic wood details in place in the form of applied carvings. The photos of the details don't do the pieces justice! They really look great and definitely give these pieces a GREAT"look! There is no apparent damage to any of these applied carvings. Overall. This two piece set is in nice condition, but does have some imperfections to mention. It appears that they have been ... morerefinished at some point in a satin finish polyurethane. Although they present themselves very well, they aren't perfect and do have a few small nicks/scratches in the surface, but none that are very bad. There is no structural damage to either part and they are sturdy in place. Although the metal siderails are not included in this auction, both of these oak pieces DO, however, accommodate standard metal siderails due to slots that are in place within the outside risers of each piece that allow metal rails(with hooks) to be slid into these slots in order to hold the rails in place on the head and footboards. The headboard stands 4'4.75" at the center. 4'3.5" at each post, and is 4'9" wide. The footboard stands 2'9.5" to the top and is also 4'9" wide at the posts. Moldings affect these measurements slightly, but these are the general sizes of the pieces. On the footboard, the top shelf is 4" wide. The headboard posts are 2-3/8" wide by 2" deep; the footboard posts are 2-3/8" wide by 1'5/8" deep.
