And sanded it down and re-sprayed the whole bed. It has its original bolt-in rails, and it measures 60 inches wide by 78 inches long on the inside. A queen-size bed is usually 80 inches long. If you want the bed extended, we will put an extension on the end of the rail for you at no charge to make it a modern-day queen-size. The outside dimensions are 63 inches wide, 32 inches on the footboard, and 43 inches on the headboard. It’s a beautiful bed that’s all set to go. The rear has a dove tail joint that is A-Symetrical cuts giving indication the piece was more than likely hand made. There were no other markings or hardware which would help me give you a better idea on age. The bench is heavy, sturdy and well built. Seating area is sound and holds me at 210 lbs. There are minor wear marks from use. In one photo there are grooves in one of the rare sleigh arms and two chips to the lower outer feet. They don't take away from the piece. We are selling an antique twin size wooden sleigh bed frame- with both a headboard and footboard. My guess is that the bed frame is from the late 1800's/early 1900's. The headboard and footboard stand fairly tall. Approximately 48.5" and 44, respectively. As you can see, the wood has a really nice grain pattern and is a nice shade of reddish brown; sorry, I don't know a lot about wood and cannot identify the type of tree it is from. As you can also see, the bed is dusty from sitting in my garage and could use a good cleaning; it also has a number of scuffs and dings commensurate with age and use, but is structurally sound. Antique Mahogany King Sleigh Bed Frame - Beautiful and Heavy
Large. Beautiful antique mahogany sleigh bed frame with curved and scrolled headboard, footboard and side rails. Prominent King-sized frame. Headboard and footboard rise above the mattress highlighting the beautiful wood. This was purchased at an antique store in Winter Park and has normal wear and tear. Small scratches and nicks are to be expected in antique furniture- original finish This piece has been in my home for 16 years. But we are downsizing. It was a very difficult find. 1920's OAK BEDROOM SET HAS NORMAL WEAR FROM BEING USED ALL THESE YEARS. MIRROR HAS SILVER DAMAGE AROUND THE EDGES OF THE BEVELLED GLASS. FURNITURE HAS LIGHT SCRATCHING. TALL BOY HAS A BOARD SWELLED ON TOP WITH WATER STAIN.I PURCHASED IT AROUND 28 YEARS AGO FROM A ELDERLY LADY WHO HAD TO MOVE TO A NURSING HOME. AND IT IS STILL THE SAME AS WHEN I BOUGHT IT. IT IS VERY OLD AND CAN CLEAN UP NICE. SOLD AS IS, WE ARE MOVING AND IT WOULD HAVE TO BE PICKED UP BY THE 10TH OF MARCH. WE ARE LOCATED 45 MINUTES NORTH OF DETROIT.
