I totally cleaned the entire set using mineral spirits to remove dirt and old waxes and polishes. I then applied a total of five coats of tung oil to each piece. Tung oil gives an ideal, long-lasting finish to wood. French beds take a slightly different size mattress. So we are including the mattress and box spring with the set. Full-size bedding fits fine. We moved to a different house and have no room in our guest room for these pieces. The following pieces are included in this set: The armoire comes complete with original mirrors and hardware. It breaks down for easy moving. Nice shelves and drawers are perfect for storage. Height- 8' 10" Depth- 19-1/2" Width- 57" Full-size bed(80-1/2" long) with headboard. The inside mattress area measures 57 1/2 inches wide by 74 3/4 inches long and should fit a full size mattress set nicely, but one should always measure their own mattress set to assure proper fit. The height from the floor to the top of the sides rails ... moreat the enter measures 14 3/4 inches.The bed sets up solid and tight and very sturdy. This is a beautiful three-piece matching ash and walnut Victorian age bedroom set dating from the 1880s. And which came out of a home in ... moreNew Hampshire. The set consists of an unusual full-size bed with a curved footboard that is the correct size for a modern size mattress, and a three-drawer dresser with racetrack molding and carved handles, with ditty boxes(which was where they stored their jewelery) on top and the original swivel mirror, along with a secret hidden drawer in the base. The third piece is the washstand or commode. It’s in original, as-found condition, except for a piece of molding on the base of the commode that we glued up. The only damage I can see is that there are a couple lamination seams that show up on the top and backsplash of the commode, which you can see in the pictures, and there is a four-inch crack in the dresser top that will not hurt it structurally. There are a few little water stains here and there, but other than that, it’s a really nice, honest set from the 1880s era. The patina is gorgeous, in a rich amber color, and also features a hand-carved walnut crest on the top, applied walnut beveled edge panels, and a beautiful carved center crest on the headboard and footboard of hand carved walnut, along with racetrack molding all carved out of solid black walnut

Bed measures 6' 10" long. 7" tall in back, and 5' wide. The mirrored dresser has two side shelves for sculptures or decorative objects. White marble tops, side drawers and three bottom drawers. This measures 7' tall, 3' 10" wide, and 19" deep. The matching washstand has a marble top. Top divided drawer and doors underneath for storage. This measures 2' 5 1/2" tall, 2' 7 1/2" wide, and 15" deep. Mattress and box spring do not come with this. This is for 3 pieces only. Bed. This set is made of walnut with flaming burl inlay. The turnings on the bed are huge! The drawer pulls on the dresser are different from the ones on the wash stand but all are old and fit correctly. Victorian Bedroom Set Walnut and Rosewood Four Piece Set

If you would like more information regarding this. Please contact us. Description: We are offering a gorgeous victorian four piece bedroom set for sale. I believe the set is made of walnut and either rosewood or it has been suggested that it may be stump walnut. The headboard has rope carved sides and a very ornately carved top. The foot board is rolled at the top and the grain to the wood is stunning. If the original wooden rails are used then it is a full size bed. If a queen size is desired. Conversion rails are readily available at most furniture stores. The armoire is very impressive with rope carved sides and original beveled glass mirrors on each door. It has a center divider and a shelf ... morethat attaches to that and goes across the entire width. We did have some work done on the back of the piece to improve stability. The entire piece completely breaks down for shipping. It should never be moved unless it is taken apart. The chest of drawers has a serpentine front and rose colored marble. There has been a repair to one corner of the marble. It was professionally done. The wash stand also has a serpentine front with rose marble. The marble has been recently polished and looks beautiful. At this time, I do not have the actual measurements of the armoire. I will post those when we have it back together in the store. It is approximately the same height as the bed. I would estimate this set to have been made in the late 1800's or early 1900's. There is part of a tag on the back of one of the pieces with the name of a shop in Charleston, SC. Dimensions: The headboard stands a stately 87" tall. The footboard measures 59" wide at the sides(the very top is wider) and the rails are 74" long. The chest of drawers measures 48" wide. Is 30 3/4" tall and 22" deep. The wash stand measures 34" wide, is 30" tall and 20" deep.

Empire Burl Walnut Italian Bedroom Set 7 Pc Marble Top
This is one of two Italian sets we have from this period and this is the claw foot one and most desirable. The two single beds are already aligned to make a king or queen size bed by attaching the two singles at mid point as my Father did on these sets. Bed back is about 57 and 1/2 inches tall and foot 35 inches Tall width each 35 and 1/2 inches which makes them 71 + when put together. Highest point in set would be Armoir at about 7 feet 2 inches. The condition is very good for this time period and has the normal scuffs and wear of use and shines up like a jewel when polished regular. I would replace the older hardware with something more modern but traditional. Burl tends to cave in with age in the knot area which separates the wood. Most people do not touch this or fill it in but leave it with it's natural aging. This Beautiful French. Antique, 5 piece Bedroom set includes a full bed(Headboard, Foot board, side rails, center supports, and original connecting hardware) 2 side tables, Dresser/cabinet with mirror, and spacious Armoire. This set is sure to grace any room with its stunning. Solid Walnut craftsmanship, warm, earth tone marble tops, bevelled mirrors, and elegant style. All pieces are in wonderful shape. Without any major damage, dings, scratches, significant discolouration, or chipping finish. The finish appears to be the original, although there are areas which seem to have been rubbed out, or had finish repair done. There are some minor scratches, dings and the like which one would expect on any antique furniture. The bevelled mirrors have minimal spotting/blemishes. The Armoire mirror has a black spot toward the center. Some would call ... moreit patina? I understand this to be common with age. The drawers are all"old world" dove tail jointed. The appliques are made of some sort of metal(not sure what) There is not a key for the Armoire, or other locks. Note: these can be found through catalogues, or antique stores. I believe the above to be the only issues of note. My knowledge of this furniture's history. Stories and travels is limited. My Mother bought the set at a very large/Mansion estate sale around 15 years ago. She needed to downsize her own home 10 years ago and the furniture has been stored in our second garage since then. Her plans of introducing it into her new home were never realized and so. Here we are. Through personal research, I believed it to be French. In looking for any identifying marks, I pulled off the back of the dressers mirror and found a stamp with"GALVANOR MARQUE DEPOSEE PROCEDE BREVETE" Loosely translated, Galvanized Registered Trademark Patented Procedure" Thus, I think it safe to assume it is French. The craftsmanship/construction methods, hardware, patina of the finish, and style lead me to believe the furniture to be of the late 1800's-early 1900'

There is a VERY achievable, reasonable reserve on this set(lower than anything else listed at this time) Feel free to inquire. As shown. The ORIGINAL FINISH, EXCELLENT-CONDITION set consists of a matched pair of single beds, a nightstand, highboy dresser, side-by-side chest dresser, and a matched mirror. The headboards of the beds are approximately 46” high at the highest point and(like the footboards) are 42” wide(beds include original siderails, of course) Nightstand measures just over 22” wide by about 16¼” deep, with a height of nearly 31” The highboy dresser is 38” wide and about 20” deep; height of 46” The double-wide dresser measures 60” ... moreacross, 21½” deep and about 41” high. Finally, the mirror over the double-wide dresser measures 39” high by 56” wide. The overall piece is 1½” thick” and is in flawless condition without any odd spots, fogging, breaks, chips or cracks. It’s heavy, as are all of these pieces– framed mirror is nearly 110 pounds and the double-wide dresser is about 250 pounds. To say that this furniture is well-built is the equivalent of remarking that the Empire State Building is in New York City– it’s all obvious. There is an original little booklet that comes with the furniture(please see photos) Detailing the craftsmanship. What meets the eye is that it’s an impossible“find” in new furniture; being made of heavy old black walnut from the U.S. As shown, all of the drawers feature painstaking detail in the dovetail-joined craftsmanship. The drawer pulls and decoration on the beds feature a grape and leaves motif. This particular auction offering is close to my heart. As my family is the original family of ownership of this set. They have been in my family for well over 100 years. I know it was in my grandmother house in Montgomery Alabama. My grand mother was born in 1881. She told me it came from a plantation. This gorgeous High Back Bed is 86” in total height from the floor to the center top of the crown on the headboard, 80” in total length and 59”in total width. The inside(mattress area) dimensions are 54 ½” in width by 76” in length and easily accommodate a standard full-size mattress but of course you should always measure your mattress to ensure proper fit. The headboard of this fabulous Burl Walnut Back Bed is graced with a beautiful floral carved center cluster ... morewith carved side panels and beautiful pillars(4)on the head board. The foot board is just as lovely as the headboard with its wide burl clad top along with its luscious recessed burl panel that is accented on each side with beautifully carved design and pillars(4) on the foot board. It measures 36” in height. 62” in width and 6”in depth. The headboard and foot board are commented with handsome bed rails with cravings. There are casters that go with the bed the wheel of the casters are carved out of wood. Next.The matching rich beveled edge marble top dresser is just as lovely as the bed. It measures 82” in total height from the floor to the top of the Crown, 31” in height from the floor to the top surface of the marble. 53” in width(beveled marble top) and 24” in depth. The original glass of the beveled mirror( hinged to tilt) measures 39” in height by 43”in width. Like the head board. This gorgeous matching dresser is adorned with a beautiful floral carved center cluster with beautiful pillars. 1952 Vintage walnut bedroom set – 6 pieces
Up for auction is a rare beautiful vintage walnut bedroom set from 1952. It is a light walnut with very clean lines. It has six matching pieces: Double bed with headboard. Footboard, and slats– 79” long x 56 ½” wide x 32” tall(headboard) 18 ½” footboard) Dresser with matching mirror– 40” wide x 18” deep x 32 ½” tall– not including mirror) Vanity with matching mirror and bench- 48 ¼” wide x 18” deep x 24 ½” tall– Mirror is 43” in diameter The set has been in storage for a very long time and the wood is damaged in many places. The bed features a high headboard with a beautifully carved shell crest. A center burl panel is flanked by three sided columns with a carved top and bottom. Large walnut and burl urns adorn the side post. The shaped foot board features the three sided columns and a raised burl panel. The rails are solid walnut. This bed is tight. Sturdy and in fantastic condition. The only apologies are a couple of scratches on the headboard. Please look closely at the pictures.
