Tall queen antique spool walnut 4 four post poster bed
For sale is a 1890s- 1910 spool 4 post bed. I believe the wood is walnut. The finials are pineapples. Fits a queen mattress but is a little short for the mattress. I bought a foam mattress and cut off about 1.5 inches at the foot of the bed. If not using foam you will have to have one specially made or use double size mattress. Very tall and striking! Original finish and very sturdy. Measures 90" tall. 62" wide, 80" deep. Pick up only 30 miles west of Chicago in Oswego IL.

Early 1800's Twin Bed Ball and Claw Foot Bedframe This is a historic bed easily dating back to early 1800's in the West Indie colonization time. Strong british influence. The exquisite craftsmanship, and the use of very early construction techniques points us to its very early origin. Beautiful dark West Indie mahogany wood was carved and constructed by hand. Its tier shaped headboard is masterfully carved with attention to detail in every scalloped edge. Horned posts at the end of the bed are carved with the same exquisite techniques. Some tarnish on brass(all brass pieces are solid brass, NOT plated) Some chips and scratches in the white paint. 1800's Hand Made Antique Queen Rope Bed - NY Cherry Wood
Beautiful Handmade Queen Cherry Wood Rope Bed from Cherry Creek. NY. It was modified to add a foot to accommodate taller people. See#8 photo) It was made in the late 1800's. Owned by my Great Grandmother Louise Parsons. Her father was the first physician in the Forestville NY area. It is Colonial style. There are some cracks and scuffs. But the bed is structurally sound. Length of mattress area 76" Width of mattress area is 45 3/8" Longest width 52" Height 44 1/4" Length 84" It is very pretty overall. But it does have some wear and minor scratches on it- consistent with the age of the piece. The white lines on the the lower joints are cracks. three of the four are cracked but the wood is still attached and quite rigid and strong. The cracks can be glued and clamped. Or just filled and sanded. The cracks are most ... morelikely from the wood swelling and shrinking from moisture. The boards used are wide and thick. And do flex with time. Like I said before. The headboard has an area where the finish is'rough' the footboard is cracked and loose. The dresser is in solid structural condition. This beautiful brass bed measures 60" from hole to hole where the side rail screws in to.which should accomodate a full or queen sized bed frame. Sorry. Antique queen size four poster bed with top rail
Beautiful antique queen sized bed made of solid mahogany. The bed was assembled from two antique single four poster beds from the early 19th century by a master carpenter. In addition to the four posts the bed has a carbed rail that goes all the way around the top of the bed. The bed can be disassembled into eight pieces for transport. I couldn't get a photo of the entire bed because the bed is in a smallish room and I don't have a wide angle lens on my camera. The bed was valued at $1000- $1500 twenty years ago by an expert appraiser. So this is a true bargain. The bed is in excellent condition. There is a small sliver of wood missing from the top rail but it is not noticeable because it occurred before the bed was assembled and refinished. Antique 1930's STeAMPuNk Steamer Trunk Full Queen Bed Frame!!! This Thing Rocks!
This bed turned out soooo awesome we are soooo tempted to keep it for our selves! Aprox 1930s vintage. We have had this piece for a while and I wasnt happy with the finish. so back to the drawing board I went. after some consideration I realized we had a unique treasure in the corner of our shop begging to be used! A grand 100+ year old steamer who was beyond repair. So we ripped it down and used the parts on this old beauty of a bed and voila! Here is one of our most favorite creations yet! It is a Standard full size. That can be converted with Hook on Full to queen converter rails. Which run about 100 bucks on line. I have been in to creative furniture finishing for many years and love what I do. My husband is a carpenter and between the two of us there is not much we cannot handle! We love what we do. PS.
