The Bed: The bed measures 62 1/2 inches in height at the head-board.39 1/2 inches in height to the top of the foot-board, with the outside with of the bed being 61 3/4 inches and outside length measuring 81 inches and this bed weighs approximately 200 lbs total. The inside mattress area measures 57 1/2 inches wide by 74 3/4 inches long and should fit a full size mattress set nicely, but one should always measure their own mattress set to assure proper fit. The height from the floor to the top of the sides rails at the enter measures 14 3/4 inches.The bed sets up solid and tight and very sturdy. A really fabulous antique 19th century Victorian woven Chenille table throw. Large enough to cover a single day bed. So perfect for a drawing room boudoir! Would look amazing thrown over the back of a huge sofa, or obviously over a large dining table for which was this was the intended purpose. Maybe hung from the wall perfect for a stair well! Fabulous condition, I cant find any holes, there is a crease along the centre where it has been folded for many a decade. Rich earth tones of terracotta, darkest jet black, sage and oyster cream. Turkish style which was the fashion in the mid to late 19th century, woven chenille with a hemmed edge on all 4 sides. Measures 53" wide x 106" in length.

VICTORIAN MAHOGANY 1/2 TESTA DOLLS BED C.1860 with bedlinen
Up for auction is this rare Victorian English Dolls bed. C.1860. It has a carved mahogany foot with a burr walnut panel. It stands on bun feet with a slat base. The half testa bedhead has a mahogany canopy with original brass curtain rings and mahogany finials. The pine backboard(detached) would have had the silk curtain attached. It is a miracle that it has survived with the bed. The detail is original and may have been made as an apprentice piece. The bed linen is wonderful with 13 pieces in all. There are embroidered sheets and tatting decoration to the edges of 2 of the pillow cases and the bolster, 4 linen pillows, a woollen blanket hemmed with blanket stitch, probably done by its' young owner. The mattress is kapok with mattress buttons and a tatting trimmed valance- it is a bit stained after 150 odd years of use, but could be cleaned ... moreby someone with conservation experience. There is a counterpane of floral material and another"duvet" in a cotton cover. The bed measures 47cms length x 34.5cms width x 26cms high(foot) and 50cms(testa height) ISSUES: The testa has been repaired to remove worm damage(long gone) There is evidence of worm damage to the sides of the slat base but nothing that needs replacing. One slat has been replaced. The pine curtain holder from the back of the testa is not attached to the bed and could be re-instated with new silk curtains by the next lucky owner PLEASE NOTE: This is an old antique- do not bid if you want something that is pristine. It has been played with and well loved. THE RESTORATION PROJECT BEGINS In 2006. I started my search for a special and unique Antique or Vintage ¾ brass bed. Bigger than a twin and less than a standard size. In 10/2007 this bed was purchased with the brass spray painted gold and the iron main frame required a new powder coating. Inside the iron we found part of a newspaper page in Dutch. Photographs were sent to a professional brass bed restorer in Canton Connecticut and his bid is summarized. As follows: Restoration Fee: $13.650.00. Includes custom iron supports for mattress/box spring. Powder coating the iron, polish then lacquer or clear coat the brass, replace missing finials, and disassemble/ reassemble and a custom shipping crate. Beautiful princess pink Victorian Antique bed spread and pillow sham. Pillow sham in half moon shape with some brownish yellowish stain as shown in photos. Bed Spread fits twin/full size bed and in very nice condition. Clean but does need pressing. Found at a Ct. estate where family owned and lived in home for over 100 years. This item was found in a hope chest wrapped up in tissue papper with other period linens. That is really all i know about item. I am not expert nor do i claim to be. Victorian period, expanding/rocking doll cradle or bed, made by C.A.Fenner of Mystic River, Connecticut. The doll bed was acquired from the estate of a doll collector and it is in good clean, antique condition. The inside of the headboard has the oval image of a Victorian mother and child picking flowers and there's a Victorian lady on horseback on the exterior of the headboard. The exterior of the footboard is decorated with flowers. The headboard side of the bed is 16" tall, the footboard side is 11" tall(without the side posts) When expanded, the interior bed dimensions are approximately 14" x 24. Vintage Antique VICTORIAN 3/4 BED w/ORIGINAL SPRINGS
This is a turn-of-the-century(not sure if late 1800's or early 1900's) VICTORIAN 3/4 BED in GOOD CONDITION. Consists of a moderately ornate Headboard(shown behind the twin bed) Footboard, Original Springs, and Side-rails. It was originally purchased in Ohio or Michigan, not sure where it was made. It belonged to my great-grandmother, who lived from the 1880's to early 1940's, but unfortunately I don't have space for it, as you can see by the pictures! There are mattress manufactures you can find on the internet who make custom-size mattresses for the same cost as standard sizes. This finish has a curving 8" long x 1/2" wide scratch and a few light water spots on the headboard. And light water spots on the footboard(no damage to the wood) One of the side-rails has been split and was amateurishly repaired over ... more50 years ago. All the built-in metal hardware is in very good condition. I don't know what kind of wood it is- it is very light-weight because it is so old. The original finish was the bumpy black finish common to Victorian furniture; it was refinished in the 1960's. Because of the age of this bed. I would only recommend it for gentle use by a person weighing less than 200 lbs. Approximate Measurements at largest points: Headboard- 55"H x 52"W x 2"D. This exquisitely carved Victorian solid Oak full bed always gets a"Wow" The bed itself is 81" long and 62" wide. The headboard is 85" high and the foot board is 36" high. There are side boards and it fits a full sized mattress. It has side rails one of which is missing one piece on the top of the railing in one corner. There are a few scratches but otherwise this beautiful piece is in great condition. There is a board at the bottom of the headboard that has slipped that needs to be tapped back into place. We think they were for his mother and her sister. The family estate had several beautiful quilts so we believe the quilts are handmade, possibly by their mother. The Beds(circa late 1800's) have fabulous LITHOGRAPHS over OAK. The Lithographs on the Beds are in very good condition for their age and look like the Beds were painted or inlaid with gorgeous motifs. The lithographs are on the front of the headboards and the front and back of the footboards. ... moreThe side rails are grooved. A classic Eastlake design. There are two original slats- the others are replacements. On the back of one of the headboards it looks like 80 cents is written in black(see photo) Each of the headboards has a split in the wood(see photos) There is some scuffing on the wood on both beds- which can be easily touched up. The Beds are in very good antique condition(see photos) The Beds measure 23 5/8" long, the headboards are 14 1/8" at the widest point and stand 17" at the highest point, the footboards are 14 1/8" wide and stand 8 3/8" high. The inside demensions are 22" long x 11 1/2" wide. The beds can be easily disassembled for shipping by removing the screws that attach the headboards and footboards to the side rails. Vintage bedding included: 2) ticking mattresses with covers, 2) pillows with lace trimmed covers, and(2) handmade patchwork quilts. Victorian Style Antique Bed and Vanity Set approximately 1917 era
Up for bid are a bed and vanity set. A friend of mine's grandmother bought these when she moved from Rockmart Ga. to Atlanta. GA in 1917. The story goes that being a country girl she could not afford new furniture. The set appears to be in Victorian style. The footboard is curved. Bed is 56" wide by 87" long. Footboard is 30" tall. There is a short chair that goes with the set to sit in front of the vanity but I do not have a picture yet. The bed and vanity has been refinished but they forgot about refinishing the chair. The chair is included. The furniture is still with the family and she kept it with her until her death in 1996. Local pickup only. Asking $800 but will take best offer. This is one of those museum pieces. A beautiful. 1800's, Victorian Silk Quilt that is done in a geometric star or pinwheel pattern. It is entirely hand made and was probably from a single bed. There is lovely, hand made, lace around the edges. It measures approximately 67" long x about 47" across. From a distance it looks beautiful but up close you can see all of the many tears, here and there. Some areas are without tears, but not many. It was very hard to show in the photos. I'm sure someone could use this as a pattern and replace the small, geometric, sections. Footboard and rails, the original springs will also be included) chest of drawers/dresser, and hard to find cabinet which originally held a wash basin. The cabinet was slightly modified in the early 1900's for kneedlepoint. Knitting, and/or sewing use. The bed is sometimes referred to as the"Jenny Lind" style. Antique Victorian Vintage Red Silk and Handmade Lace Bed Coverlet Not Lined approx. 74" x 76" outside lace. Inside lace edge is approx. 65" x 66" The Pillow coverlets have had a cream poly"envelope" added to insert a stuffer. this was added during the more modern days) outside lace to outside lace measures 30" square, and inside lace( the red Silk) is 25" x 24" I see no damage to the two pillow covers. Except for a few minor missing lace support stitches their are some broken bridges, and near the center lace design on top of bed their is a white spot, a burn hole, and what looks like a coffee stain, see the 7th picture.
