This fabulous early dresser is from Chicora Wood Plantation; an historical Rice plantation in South Carolina that was built in 1817. We believe this dresser to have its original rich finish. Original marble and mirror and the original early wood ring drawer pulls that are attached with wooden screws and blocks, and the original casters intact on the base. This high quality dresser has early dove-tailed construction on the dresser base top up under the marble and also on the drawer ends; and an old label with an original owners name handwritten with Chicora, SC written below on the base up under the marble. This dresser has a grand, majestic presence with incredible carvings and details; and amazingly left in its original state.you can almost feel the history in this piece when you touch it.incredible! This grand 19th century dresser measures 89 1/2 inches tall to the top of the fancy carved crest on the mirror. Height to the marble top is 35 inches, total width of 49 inches, total depth of 23 1/2 inches and weighs approximately 250 lbs, This dresser does dis-assemble into 5 pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving( base, marble, mirror, two carved arm supports) The original oval mirror measures 38 1/2 inches high by 27 3/4 inches and is attached to the fancy carved arm supports with the original walnut finial screws and the mirror does pivot front to back to adjust for viewing. Hand Carved VICTORIAN BED& BED SPRINGS + 2 DRESSERS. The entire bed is solid oak with the original finish. The bed& springs were in continuous use from 1876 thru 2008 in the same family. Outside Bed Measurements are at Headboard Height: 57” Footboard Height: 42” outside Length: 77” outside Width: 53½” The inside bed measurements are: Length: 73” by Width: 51” The head& foot boards are on casters& the entire bed rolls easily for cleaning or, when taken apart, for transportation. The side rails slip easily in& out of slots in the head& foot boards. It comes with the slats, including the small center one which was used to distributed the weight of the mattress& people evenly on the center of the mesh springs. The bed springs, with the original stenciled date of 1876, are made of steel mesh stretched tightly over ... morethe solid oak frame& secured at the ends with thick iron pieces. The springs are still firm& without any sag. There is no indication of a manufacturer’s name on the mesh or iron end pieces and they may have been mail order. The bed needs a little loving care– mostly just a good cleaning(the spot of white on the foot board decoration(see pic) is a small streak of paint) being dusty and covered in old furniture polish. It does have a few scratches& small dings from age, but nothing major. Both dressers were made at the time as the bed, 1876, and by the same craftsman. They are oak& are all original with no replacement pieces& with the original finish. THE LARGE DRESSER with associated mirror measures: Height: 44” Depth: 19” Width: 41” The Ogee mirror is an oval 23 ½” by 15” is probably a later addition. The dresser has 2 trinket drawers made with key holes, but without knobs, a small bow front top drawer& 3 large lower drawers; all of which work properly. Antique French Victorian Iron single bed LOOK
This is a super antique Iron bed. Probably from France. I would say it dates to the 1890's. It appears to be a single bed. This is one of the best Iron beds that I have seen. It is very heavy and needs two people to lift and move it. Very sturdy and solid. It easily folds up flat and easily sets up. It was sand blasted about two years ago and has been sitting in my garage. There is some light surface rust as can be seen in the photos, but easily comes off in preparation for paint. This can be spray painted with rustoleum in about 5 minutes. I will leave the color up to the lucky purchaser. Or it can be powder coated for a super finish. Its ready to go. It must be picked up here in Riverhead Long Island or I can deliver it anywhere on Long Island only. It weighs somewhere over a 100 pounds.

An exquisite antique bedroom suite all original dating to the mid to late 1800's. This is a 3 piece set made from walnut. Burl walnut and veneer and accented with marble and original hardware that comes with the following pieces. Bed: The stunning bed is sure to be a focal point in the room. The headboard stands 70" high at the back center. It is 65" wide at the widest point. The footboard measures 38" in height at the center. The carved bird motif on the headboard matches the motif on the footboard. The upper edges of the headboard are done in an elaborate acanthus leaf pattern and a matching pattern surrounds the birds in the center. The details on the birds is incredible with finely details individual feathers. There are losses to the veneer on this and there is also a section of wood missing on the carved back area. ... moreThe footboard has a metal strip on the back of it holding the two boards together and there is a paper coating it that has losses. There are age and use appropriate dings and scratches to the frame that one would expect to find on an item of this age. Dresser: The dresser has a beautiful black and gold and white veined marble top. This is one solid sheet of marble. There are some light scratches on the marble but there are no cracks in this piece. The dresser stands 37" high to the top of the marble slab. It is 36.25" wide and at the widest depth it is 21.5" It stands 74" high to the top of the mirror at the center. There are some light losses to the carving and scratches from use on this as well. There are cracks on the side but they do not affect the integrity of the piece.This also has the same matching cross diamond pattern on the sides and front as seen on the head and foot boards of the bed. The edges are also trimmed with an acanthus motif. There is a single drawer above two doors that open to reveal shelving. There is a lock on this and it does work. Here is my latest amazing Estate find! I was told its extremely old. A true Vintage Victorian piece. It is unclear if it was a tablecloth or used as a bed topper. Please look at all the pictures as there are holes in the lace in spots. One large spot. The 7th pic shows the largest rip(12" long) all others(about 8 more) are fairly small. There are also a few areas of some fine black scuff marks. Looks to be nothing serious and should be no problem getting out with pre-treating. The piece measures 97" long x 56" wide NOT including the 3" fringe on 3 sides. There are no tags on the piece so not sure of the material. It has 5 1/2" bands of white and powder blue gathered linen/cotton? material on both long edges. Then a band of the beautiful ivory lace 17" wide, another wider band of white& blue in the middle ... morefollowed by another 17" of the ivory lace. There is 3" fringe on only 3 sides with the 4th side hemmed. This possibly was a full size bed topper. This is such a unique piece. Unlike anything I've seen in my 30 yrs of searching. This is one gorgeous piece of wood. It is burled walnut and is from the early 1800s. It is a lap desk or maybe used as a bed tray. It is 32" long and 14" tall. It is in really nice condition. Victorian 1850's Walnut Bed Frame and Dressers
All this bed set came from a certified antique dealer in Vermont. As a couple we have never used it for anything more than decor. The bed is full size. But can accomodate many queen sized mattress and box spring sets so long as they are not oversized. The wood is in remarkable condition and nearly unblemished for it's size. This includes the bed and two dresser pieces with a large full length mirror dating back to the 1850's. The smaller dresser contains a marble top in perfect original condition. The marble top is available on the dresser with the mirror as well, however, there is a crack down the middle. The crack is repaired but still visible. If the marble is replaced or repaired by the buyer, the value of this set would increase exponentially. This is a beautiful bed set and we hate to part ways. Gorgeous Antique Victorian Brass and Rod Iron Bed
What a gorgeous victorian brass and rod iron bed this is. It may look crooked as i had to assemble it outdoors-no room inside to display it. Has wheels on the feet. Sitting on mulch. I spent 40 hours refinishing this, I normally do not touch antiques but it needed sprucing up. I polished the brass which was black. I put coats of rustoleum on first there was some bad areas on the frame and then about six coats of a white metal finish paint. Really want to keep this but had just purchased an antique eastlake set last winter. I did not put a mattres on it but a full size will sit on frame as does my eastlake set. To the tallest area on the headboard 62" 44-3/4" to the tallest area on the foorboard. The outside rails are 76-1/2" x 53-1/2" The last picture shows I am pointing to-I have the brass ball and there is threading ... moresticking up but I am afraid it will come off so you can put it on when you have the bed. Fainting couch that makes unfolds into a bed. I have had this for many years and just never got around to having it re-upholstered. I put that it was made from around 1900.But it may be older or younger. If you know,please let me know. Although I never used it for a bed,When opened into a bed, I never knew what it was suppose to lean on(the opened end should have something to support it) Anyway,it has always been different than other fainting couches that I've seen. I hope someone can use it. It is quite heavy and measures approximately 71" long.24" wide(closed) and 19" high at the foot and 25" high at the head. Offered for auction is this beautiful walnut Renaissance Revival Victorian double high back bedstead and half commode/somnoe and dresser w/mirror. The finish is a light walnut which appears to be in pretty good condition with some areas of discoloration. The headboard is 7'4" h x 5'4" w. Foot board is 3'2 1/2" tall. Takes a full double mattress. There is a large carved cartouche at the top of the multi curved headboard with large applied panels with walnut burl veneer. Main part of the headboard has two recessed panels with assymetrical curved tops. Sides of the headboard are topped by large carved and turned finials. Footboard has same raised molding but has an elaborate carved element in the middle of the curved footboard. Footboard and original rails in a cherry finish. Head and footboards are carved with a cut and pierced gallery finishing off the top of headboard. Wood is cut and layered on rails to produce the stepped detail on the ends. Bed fits a standard full size mattress 54" x 75" Pictured in bright sunlight and cloud cover. Bed is in overall very good condition. However, there are some signs of age on this 100 plus year old heirloom- there is some separation between the leg and body on the front right of footboard. Footboard is still very solid. There are also two spots on same leg on side where the wood must have been wet a one time ... moreas the finish color is lighter. There is also a long crack on the carved gallery on top of headboard and two of the six small gallery supports on back of headboard are missing. Gallery is solid and not loose or in danger of breaking. My guess is this crack has been there for many, many years. There are many small marks and scratches on legs. This is rare opportunity to purchase an authentic Full Tester Bed by the famous antebellum cabinet maker Charles Lee. This impressive bed was made around 1850 and crafted of the finest mahogany. It is identical to the original bed found in the master bedroom in the Natchez antebellum mansion. Rosalie. The arched headboard features carved leafy scroll work which meets in the center with a pendant of hand carved grapes. Pomegranate, and leaves dropping down. Book-matched crotch mahogany accents the central recessed panel. The side rails have carved leaves, volutes, and a central cartouche that resembles a crown. One of the special features of this bed is that it has the most complex bed posts created by C. Lee. Some beds have cluster columns, but this bed has a post with an undulating profile that alternates from convex to concave. Crowning ... morethe bed is wide, flaring ogee tester. This bed has been in my family for four generations. My grandmothers(grandmother born in 1918) mother was born on this bed. The only history I have on it is that it is from Europe. It is a 3/4 bed appraised in 1992 at $900. It has been in storage all this time waiting to go to a good home. Has rub marks here& there but is still beautiful. It just needs a good home! Simple lines with its square posts and long& slender spindles! The bed knobs or top caps are a classic domed crown form. We have seen a lot of Edwardian brass beds but have never seen one that is signed or that has the unusual joint ... moresystem for the rails like this one. The joint system is simple& set up to be rock solid& not budge on you at all. We believe because the rails are so heavy that they are cast iron with a gold lacquer painted finish to match the bed. All of the brass posts& spindles are hollow otherwise this would be ridiculously heavy and the headboard& footboard are heavy enough as they are! The brass has a wonderful& warm patina to it! The side rails on the headboard& footboard are both marked"1872 4/8 SATIN" The corner joint of each rail large raised capital"G" stamped on the top& the joints on the sides of the H.B. F.B. each have the number"2" stamped in the same manner. From the outside of the posts headboard to footboard the bead measures 81.5" long by 54.5" wide across. The rails on the inside measure 77" long by" wide& the rails themselves are 1.5" wide across. The H.B. stands 58.25" tall to the top. This is an Authentic Victorian Period Cast Iron& Brass Bed from the 1890's. It was Professionally Refinished several years ago. It fits a standard full size mattress.
