Nice ornated Victorian Full size cast iron bed with original drop in pin style rails. The headboard is 60 inches tall or 5 ft. and the footboard is 41 inches tall. The bed is a full size measuring 54 1/2 inches wide. Very ornated and heavy built.The only thing wrong is that the footboard has a small section of railing missing as you can see in the fourth picture. Antique Victorian Eastlake wood bed and custom mattress - Turn of the century
This is an Eastlake wooden bed from the turn of the century in the original finish. It has been in my family since purchased. It has nice incise carvings and burl accents. The bed is in good condition and includes the original headboard. Footboard, and attaching side rails. It is a 3/4 size bed, so it is slightly smaller than a full size bed so I had a custom mattress made for it but full size sheets fit it fine. The custom made mattress and bunky board are in excellent condition(only slept on twice) The bed measures- 53" wide x 75.5" long. The headboard is 55" high at the tallest part and the footboard is 29" tall. The mattress measures approximately 51"x70"

This splendid antique bed features gorgeous spoon carved flowers. Flowing incised carvings and a fancy plumage and scroll crest on the head-board with the foot-board offering the same beautiful spoon carvings and incised carvings as the head-board. This bed measures 73 inches tall at the head-board. 33 inches tall at the foot-board, height of the sides rails at the center top to the floor measures 15 1/4 inches. I don't know much about antique furniture, this has been lovingly used in our family since it was acquired in the 1930's. It probably dates back to the 1890's, and everything is in its original state since we have owned it, I cannot tell before that. I think the wood is mahogany. The drawers are dovetailed. The bed is all original.The padded upholstered canopy needs redoing. It was left so the pattern could be used to reproduce new canopy. The assembled bed is taller than avg ceiling hgt. I have custom made pieces that convert the head board end to 8ft. So the bed can be used in most any room. The bed was made in France and either shipped in at Charleston or New Orleans and went directly to a large estate home way out East Blvd in Charlotte NC. in 1878. A Dr had purchased the bed and it was placed in the East Blvd home. It stayed there until the 1940's when it was moved to the families' home on the Catawba River. and stayed there until 1956 when it was given as a gift to my Aunt. Up for auction is a beautifully carved Victorian Walnut Bed Crest. The crest has been carved in the shape of a lady's head. The crest is 12" tall. It is nearly 13" across the curled detail. The thickest area on the crest is at the top of the lady's head. It is about 3 1/2" thick. The crest is in the original finish. There are some nicks in the surface. The original finish has some wear. The tip of the lady's nose is flattened. There is a scratch below her chin. I did not clean or polish the crest. 1840-1860 Eastlake Victorian Mahogany Bed and Dresser
Bed and dresser is mahogany and-Dresser has marble top. No breaks or cracks and is the original top-Dresser has original bevel mirror and in good shape-Bed has matching foot board like the headboard-but half it's height. Dresser has the same design on top of dresser as the bed does-Bed is a full size, but we can put a queen mattress on it. Head board has a crack in it. If you look at the 4 th picture you can see the crack, a little glue will do the job. The set has never been refinished or repaired. The set is big, thick wood and heavy. Some wear and tear for it's age, but in very good shape. A piece of vinear came off of the dresser drawer, I'm told that was easy to repair. The carving on the bed is beautiful. Another beautiful piece fresh out of an old antique chest at an estate sale. I found this lovely handmade crocheted bedspread or coverlet. It is quite large and much heavier than the other one I have listed, so I believe it is a bedspread rather than a tablecloth. It has a star design and beautiful border that is scalloped in a pointed design. Condition of the table cloth is very good, again, with a little dust and I only found one very light faded small spot. Would really be well worth restoring with some TLC. This is a dying art and I am seeing less and less of them in my travels. One can only imagine the time it took to create this work of art.
