~ ~ ~ Rare Find ~ ~ ~! Shabby Chic! Charming Depression Era bedroom vanity dates back to 1920's- 30's! This elaborate intricate and distinctive design is surely a product of a lost era. I am pleased to offer this here for your consideration. The close to 90 years of age has rendered this beautifully rich patina. Only found in aged woods. Made from an elaborate pattern of walnut, walnut veneer, burl, and detailed marquetry(wood inlay) dovetail drawers; shaped etched original mirror(almost never seen intact at this age) painted walnut teardrop original pulls; two small'glove/trinket' curved drawers; 2 elaborate deep drawers. All detailed design matched on all drawers. Interesting detail galore! This very special vanity affords you the luxury of relaxing while you get ready for your day or evening out. With 2 deep and 2 small ... moredrawers for your things and a lovely large mirror that will also show full view when standing. A small bench seat completes the set. Set includes: Ladies Vanity with Large Mirror(detachable for ease in shipping) Vanity seat NOTE: Mirror shows almost full length when standing a few feet away. Although it detaches for moving convenience. It is meant to be attached as shown and looks integral to the piece. CONDITION: Both pieces are sturdy and stable and sit firmly on the floor without rocking or tilting. Vanity appears to have the original finish and needs either TLC or TLC and repair/refinish. There is staining and or uneven finish on some of the top pieces which would improve greatly with cleaning and furniture polish. Mirror is in unusually very good condition with minor aging imperfections that are only visible upon close inspection and add to the charm. All original drawer pulls with some missing paint. Some veneer damage mostly to the bottom sides of the Vanity with a few pieces saved and provided. Drawers are fully functional. Bench seat has been recovered on older– not necessarily original but could be– fabric still on seat. Fabric needs replacing. There is no mildew.

There is a smaller 9" diameter circle pinned to the back, and a needle with some blue embroidery floss attached ... moreto it. There are some very tiny brown dots, and one larger area(see last picture) It appears to have never been washed, so the spots may or may not come out or lighten a little. VINTAGE BARKCLOTH FABRIC 4 YARDS USED CUTTER CURTAIN PANELS SHABBY ROSES BIRDS
Up for auction a set of 2 matching vintage used Bark cloth curtain panels. At one time this was a set of drapes, so they have been used, some one started re-purposing them, the lining of the drapes has been removed and the seams ripped out, the panels have rough edges from being deconstructed, along one edge of one of the panels is some small holes, I'm thinking she got a bit off with the seam ripper, so there is old fold lines and frayed edges along all 4 sides of each panel. The fabric is in very nice shape and I could find no hole in the usable center portion of the panels, no stains, rips or signs of old repairs, I'm sure that the fabric has faded over time, but if so it is evenly faded and I did not see any shading on the panels. The panels measure roughly 83 inches long and 33 inches wide, I only counted usable yardage in my ... moredescription. Lovely pattern and colors, Lovely vintage pattern that I have not seen before of what looks like a Rose or Peony tree with small birds, mostly pinks and greens on a white background, nice pattern and colors for Cottage, Country or Shabby Chic projects, The fabric is nice and strong and can be cut or made back into a smaller set of drapes, very nice fabric for all your crafting needs. I have machine washed the fabric on a normal setting and then pressed it, I did not find any signs of dry rot. I purchased this fabric at a local estate auction and I do guarantee that it is vintage cotton fabric. This is a mid weight cretonne cotton of it's day, latter 1800's. Would be ideal for home projects, pillows, totes etc. Condition is good and strong; hues are a bit time softened. To the right of this. The last 10 or so inches, there is more fade which makes the hues a bit more soft and burnt. May have wee fiber break or age spot as this is very old and probably lightly used in it's prior life. Measures 32 in. wide by 20 inches tall. I have 3 to offer and can keep your quantity uncut. Oh I love this! What a lovely cotton from the early 1900's. Probably the 20's-30's. Shabby roses and apple blossoms on a fabulous pale blue ground. This has that genuine time softened beautiful appeal that even just thrown over a lovely antique chair would be beautiful. It is dense but a looser weave& lightweight in the mid/larger scale range. This is a salvaged piece so has a wonderful time spent essence to it. Perfect for shabby interiors and projects. A neat summer bag if lined properly and would also be wonderful used in a larger scale bear or doll project as it has a soft pliable body to it and easy to work with. Condition is good and strong. It has a more time aged patina to it. Hues vary and are time softened and faded throughout which is excellent on this piece. There are a few mild age spots. Beautiful beautiful beautiful antique cotton from about the 1940's. Oh. I love this one! It has that awesome perfect shabby cottage appeal. Larger in scale with the most wonderful palette of pinks and blue on an old white. Time has made the hues absolutely marvelous. The cluster of roses is about 7 to 7 1/2 inches. This would make fabulous spring/summer pillows. Curtains, lamp shades, bags as well as an abundance of projects. It is utterly delightful and pops where ever you opt to use it. Gorgeous early 1900's cottage roses and stripes cotton with precious little birds. Such a beautiful piece. Absolutely darling. The overall look of this piece is subtle and almost time faded, but I believe it was never really meant to be a bright cloth. There are garlands of sweet pink roses with birds here and there throughout(they look like little whitish creamy gray swallows maybe, some are in flight, some perched) It is a mid lighter weight cotton of it's day, aprox the 1920's or so. Vintage Toy Box Blanket Chest Shabby Cottage Hand Painted Folk Art 24 Long x 16 Deep x 13 High This is a well constructed chest trimmed with moldings and vintage metal cup handles. It would be a lovely place to store toys. Extra blankets, sweaters or whatever you need to store It could be used as a little side or coffee table or at the end of a twin bed. The cover sits nice and tightly despite a chip under the hinge in the back. I do not know how old or who painted this chest. I was first drawn to it when I saw the molding as it looked like an antique ice chest I have had for years. The decorative painting and handles could have been added later. I think it is oak or ash. I forgot to take a picture of the unpainted bottom before I packed it for shipping. Its not pine. It has a lot of grain. As you can see in the pictures this is a shabby ... morelooking piece. The paint has crazing. The handles have some rust, there are ring marks on the top and there are some small chips. It is still very cute and if you like naturally aged things you will like this piece. I packed it very well wrapping it in bubble. Shrink wrap and paper to try and keep the weight down. 2 Primitive Antique Wire Wireware Drawer Pulls Shabby Chippy Paint Here's a pair of my favorite pieces of hardware this week- they are so simple. So rustic, so primitive, so yummy! This listing is for two antique wire drawer pulls. They are not a matched pair, but they are clearly similar in style, so I decided to put them together. I can count on one hand the number of times I have seen pulls like these- one has a worn, chippy light yellow finish, and the other, I THINK had a black finish on it- if so, it's mostly worn off- the patina is so dark, it's really hard to tell, so supersize and see what you think. The hellow one has a little more angular shape to the pull- with rounded corners, though. It measures 4 5/8" long, 1 1/4" deep from the back of the screw mount to the front of the pull, and the mounting holes are ... more4" apart measuring inside hole to inside hole. The loop that forms the mounting hole on the right is bent down a little- I did not try to bend it back up, but this is a rustic design anyway- it just works with the piece, and you can still mount it- see my photos. The other handle measures 4 1/4" long in total, 1" deep from the back of the mounting holes to the front of the handle, and the mounting holes are 3 5/8" across measuring inside hole to inside hole. Both of the pulls are in excellent solid and sturdy structural condition. Don't confuse wire with weak- it's heavy guage steel wire and I cannot bend the pulls when I tried. Both have very worn finishes(if indeed the one was black) both have light surface rust where the metal is exposed, and both could use a little cleaning- they are as found and I have not cleaned in any way. 2 Vintage Gothic Style Steel Drawer Pulls Door Pulls Shabby Gold Finish Here are two stylish pulls for you! Love the gothic flair. It's a matched set of two- I wanted to point that out because one looks larger than the other in some of my photos. And it's not- they are both the same size- 2 1/4" wide and 3" tall. They are light- each one weighing only a couple of ounces. They will be coming with the screws in them, and the screw holes are 1 15/16" apart- measuring from the inside of the left hole to the inside of the right. They are in excellent solid and sturdy condition. As you can see from my photos, they have a brass colored finish that has darkened with age, and is worn on the higher relief spots- one shoes more wear than the other. You could refinish, but I think they are charming as they are- the finish giving ... morethem a very old world feel to me. Please ask if you have any questions. Shabby Sheek Shutters
These shutters are structurally. In excellent shape and have all their hardware, attached, also in perfect shape. There is no wood rot. The louvers, although they are painted shut, appear as if they would work with a little gentle prodding. I found the shutters in storage when we moved onto a farm dating back to the late 1800's. I have no idea how old these shutters are. It looks like they have been painted twice, and the original green paint is clearly visible with the second painting of white cracking off. Dimensions are 30.75" x 12" The only damage is so slight, and on the inside back corner. It is slightly bashed, but hardly perceptible. See picture, but so minor it is hard to notice. Vintage Child Juvenile Print Cotton Apron Pastel Aqua Pink Shabby Cottage Chic
This very vintage half apron was cleverly constructed with complementary printed fabric. The aqua-and-white skirt is trimmed with a sweet juvenile print featuring child gardeners. The apron is gently faded and has no stains. As shown in closeup. One of the ties is ripped where it's sewn to the waistband, and one of the heart-shaped pockets has come a bit unraveled. I'll leave these minor repairs for a more competent seamstress. The apron measures 61" from tie end to tie end. And 20&1/2 inches long.
