The brass has some patina; this will only get richer with time. The sockets have nice. Long pull-chains. This is really unusual for this type fixture. Of course, the fixtures can also be controlled by a wall switch(assuming your house is wired as such) I like the look of the pull-chains– a nice period touch. The sockets are original. The paper insulators are new. The vertical wires are also new. And cloth-covered. Nice. I show 60W clear appliance-sized bulbs. And think these look very well. Originally, people would have likely used carbon-filament bulbs. Available still, these look about the same as what I show, but are way higher in price and way lower in wattage. The set retains all its essential components. Including the very distinctive finials, socket rings, and chains. And. Of course, it’s really nice having a matched pair.
