Raised burled panels and tear drop pulls adorn each drawer~2 small. 2 large. The matching washstand offers a nice storage, with a drawer and large storage area behind paneled doors. This Walnut Victorian bedroom set is in very nice condition for it age. The white and grey marble shows only normal signs of use having some slight discoloration. But no cracks or breaks. There is a repair to the footboard which is very sturdy and secure, not an issue and not very noticable~see picture#4. As you can see in the photos the rails have been extended to accommodate a full size mattress. The set is signed by the maker"D G Allen Savannah Ga. The chair frame is a little loose. Not bad but with that said a very useable and very comfortable piece! The back has deep tufting and the seat cushion I believe to be feather filled. The finish is like a light walnut, the chair has wonderful carving and the style is just fabulous! Measures 43" tall, 30" wide and about 36" in depth. Two Antique Vintage Twin Beds Quilt Block Home Made Violet White Hand Sewn
These are extremely well-made. Nice, heavy quilts in violet and white. The tops of them are violet and whiteblocks. There are strings made of light yellow yarn tied at the corner of each block. The rear of the quilt is all off-white due to aging. Each quilt is 66 inches x 76 inches and are made to fit twin beds. These items are about 50 to 55 years old. I know that because I know the person who made them and saw them when they were first made. For their age. They are in good condition. There are some stains on these quilts. I donot consider any of the stains horrible because they are not big and dark. Most of them I had to search for in order to find. I took pictures of some of them so that you can see what they look like. I did notice what looked like two black pen marks on one of the quilts. Both of them were less than 1 inch in length. ... moreThe damages that I see on each of the quilts are: Quilt#1: The quilt is mostly faded from age. This does not take away from its beauty. There are some violet blocks that are not faded. Since these blocks are toward the edge of the quilt I am wondering if these were on a side of the bed that was against the wall. There is a tear in the backing of the quilt one edge. I have a picture of this attached. There are some stains on the quilt. I did not try to remove them because the quilt is in clean condition. The table measures 28.25 inches in height, the top is 34x25 inches. The pieces are all original clean finish. The handles on the chest are in an art nouveau style and there are heavy duty quality brass feet with brass wheels on the beds and chests. Antique pair of maple single beds/National Wire Co. Box Springs/circa 1875
A truly wonderful matched pair of Maple single beds. With National Wire Mattress Company of New Britain, CT box springs. I would guess both beds and box springs were made around the same time- circa 1875. The box springs carry a patent date of 1872. Beds could possibly be a bit earlier. This pair of beds has been in family use for over 30 years. Each bed is about 80" long and 40" wide. Headboard height to top of finial is 44. End of bed height to top of finial is 40. These beds were professionally refinished in the 1970s and have a warm honey patina. Condition is as shown. While we only put one bed together, both are in very good, ready-for-bed condition. Box springs are also in very good condition and quite strong- many a kid has bounced up and down without a problem. We have owned these for a long time and watched our kids sleep ... morein them, eat on them, and play on them as well. Antique Cannonball Cannon Ball Three Quarter Beds Seattle
Pick up only. Seattle Eastside suburbs. I am selling a pair of antique cannon ball beds. They are three quarter size. One bed has a mattress and box spring set. The other does not. The mattresses would be a special order but there is a company here in Seattle that can make it. One has 5 slats to hold the mattresses the other does not but obviously you could just get five boards cut to length at a hardware store. These beds have been in my family and are believed to be Kentucky antiques as that is where I am from. The story that was told to me was one bed was an actual antique and the other my grandmother had specially made to match it. The beds were side-by-side in the same bedroom at my grandparents house. One of the beds I currently keep in a guest bedroom(so the mattresses have very little wear) and the other has been in storage. The one ... morefrom storage has some dings and scratches. Vintage 1880s pair French regency neoclassical twin beds with custom mattresses and box-springs ordered to fit antique beds. These beds are ready to be used. MEASUREMENTS: The beds are 80 inches long 42 inches wide at the headboard and 40 inches wide at the footboard. The headboard is 64 inches tall including the crown the footboard is 30 inches tall. The mattresses are 73.5 inches long and 34.5 inches wide. LET’S TALK CONDITION: Excellent condition for the age. Much better than what is typically found beds of this type and era, ready to use very clean and with a wonderful patina to the wood. With the original slats, no replacement wood no discoloration no significant or structural damage. The head side of the rails on each bed have a missing part of the decorative designee and the other rail with one intact and one repaired(see the third ... morephoto) One of the footboards has chips on the base of the columns(see last photo) and this footboard also has some loose joints giving it some slight pay, less than typical for antique bedframes. This is a wonderful pair of matching federal style pencil poster beds with fluted posts on the footboards ... moreand beautiful tapered posts on the headboards, with solid mahogany Sheraton style shields. This set has bolt-in rails of the dimensional type, so they are stout and sturdy. Someone has made metal brackets so the box spring can sink down and the bed is not as high as older beds usually are. The beds are mahogany, and the only flaw I see is that some of the bolt covers are mismatched. The rails have scrag marks on them, which is unique, and the beds are finished in a brownish red mahogany stain, with fluted Sheraton style posts on the footboard, with urn shaped vase finials. The overall size on the outside is 46 inches wide, 64 inches high on the footboard and headboard, and 39 inches high to the shield. The inside dimensions, for mattress purposes, are 41 inches wide, and 77 inches long. A modern size box spring and mattress will easily fit. Birds Eye Maple antique twin sleigh beds
These are two gorgeous twin sized 19th Century Victorian beds from the Ottowa Furniture Company from Holland. Michigan. As with most Victorian antique beds, they do not fit modern box springs. We used bed slats and placed twin mattress across the top of the slats. They are precious and rare items and we hope that they will go to someone who will appreciate their historical value. Pair of Cherry Empire 1840 Antique Twin Poster Beds. Hand crafted of solid cherry about 1840. This wonderful pair of American Empire poster beds has an old finish with glowing warm patina. Waxed and buffed. Only an occasional wipe with a soft cloth will maintain their luster. There are minor mars for antique character on this American made furniture, said to be from Pennsylvania. Iron bolts secure the substantial frames together. Holes in the ends show where ropes were once threaded through this historic pair of"rope" beds. We have fitted upholstered bunky boards or pallets as shown which will support a modern standard twin or single size mattress without using a spring unit. The mattress shown is 7" tall.
