There is a lot of info on google about McCrory's Five& Dime History! Just think how many little kids had their candy weighted on this scale. Just think of their excitement as they watched and waited for the clerk to weigh the candy and give it back to them! Unfortunately the scale has seen better days! It appears to be in fine working order but it really could use a good cleaning. We are not going to attempt to do anything to this scale, we'll leave that all up to the buyer. YOU GET TO PICK THE ONE YOU WANT SO PLEASE SPECIFY WHEN YOU GO TO PAY FOR IT! We acquired the Beds from a friend's estate. They had been passed down from her husband's family. We think they were for his mother and her sister. The family estate had several beautiful quilts so we believe the quilts are handmade, possibly by their mother. The Beds(circa late 1800's) have fabulous LITHOGRAPHS over OAK. The Lithographs on the Beds are in very good condition for their age and look like the Beds were painted or inlaid with gorgeous motifs. The lithographs are on the front of the headboards and the front and back of the footboards. ... moreThe side rails are grooved. A classic Eastlake design. There are two original slats- the others are replacements. On the back of one of the headboards it looks like 80 cents is written in black(see photo) Each of the headboards has a split in the wood(see photos) There is some scuffing on the wood on both beds- which can be easily touched up. The Beds are in very good antique condition(see photos) The Beds measure 23 5/8" long, the headboards are 14 1/8" at the widest point and stand 17" at the highest point, the footboards are 14 1/8" wide and stand 8 3/8" high. The inside demensions are 22" long x 11 1/2" wide. The beds can be easily disassembled for shipping by removing the screws that attach the headboards and footboards to the side rails. Vintage bedding included: 2) ticking mattresses with covers, 2) pillows with lace trimmed covers, and(2) handmade patchwork quilts. The bedding is in good vintage condition-there are some stains and yellowing on the mattresses and pillows and covers-we have not laundered any of the bedding(see photos) Please view all photos for condition issues. This is a real beauty like nothing I have ever seen. The wood is in extremely good condition no bad spots on the outside considering it is over a hundred years old. Everything works good no stains. No real issues except maybe the mirrors are a little foggy and some of the back panel has been replaced on the dresser which is not a big deal. This exceptional antique furniture piece has been handed down through the seller’s family and is not a reproduction. Originally owned by great grandparents who lived in a log cabin. This bed was inherited by the seller’s family who remember its use in a bedroom of the cabin prior to 65 years ago although no one in the family knows the date it was originally acquired. It features the original beveled mirror, elegant heart-shaped overlays, and has not been refinished(a collector's plus! Folding beds were advertised in Montgomery Ward catalogues prior to 1900. The cabinet measures 78” tall. 58” wide and 27” deep when closed, 80” deep when open. It has a removable mesh/spring support for a mattress(mattress not included) mattress opening measures 50” x 74” A sofa mattress 48” x 72” may be a good choice to allow room for linens. This is a ... morewell made and sturdy free-standing piece that moves easily on its metal casters; it does not need attachment to a wall because of its counterweights explained below. Included are 10 removable original cast iron counterweights on the back that allow the bed to raise and lower almost effortlessly with a slide mechanism. As the front of the bed is lowered to the floor. The counterweights allow the bottom portion of the headboard to butt to the upper section resulting in a 72” high headboard. The weights(12 lbs 10.8 oz. each) are easily accessible and lift out to allow less weight and ease of movement to a new location. The metal decorative plates on each sideboard with the name“Victoria Bed” swivel to become the supporting legs of the footboard end of the bed. This is a very sturdy piece of furniture with ease of operation although there are a few things to note. The solid oak cabinet has no cracks and has not been stripped or refinished. Solid oak 5 piece bedroom set: full size bed(head. Foot, side rails, slats) dresser, mirror, washstand, lingerie chest. Beautiful construction. Dove-tailed drawers, heavy solid oak, rolled headboard and footboard with matching roll on dresser mirror. Newer, beveled glass mirror, which will pivot. This was my grandmothers bedroom furniture(~106 years old) Wash refinished in the late 1980's. But could be gently polished/refinished. Slight damage to the footboard when we last moved(see photo) Wear consistent with age. Wash stand was stained walnut in the 1940's and even though refinished it is a darker finish than the other pieces. Pick up in East Brunswick. NJ.

All three pieces(Oak daybed. Trundle, and armoire) are all in real good condition. The bed is sturdy and strong. The armoire comes with an extra shelf so if you don't want to use it for a television you can add the extra shelf to make more space for items. The armoire also comes with an actual outlet inside of it for your use(for a television, game system or whatever you made need it for) There are some scratches on both but they are both still in real good shape.
