The back is stamped"Walnut, Rosewood and Pecan" which may apply to the whole set, not necessarily the headboard. I don't know if the inserts are Rosewood or Pecan. The drawer pulls on the dresser are accented with a different wood but I've never known which was which. I recently purchased the same headboard in king size for the twin beds together and it has worn areas and has been touched up and smells like crayons. Well. I am stuck but this beautiful headboard needs a good home. I have only used"Old English" on it and it is in fantastic shape. There was a thin piece of wood about an inch square in the back that came off as I was gluing it. See photo with tape) T hat may or may not hold but it does not effect the beauty of this piece. This auction is for a George Nakashima headboard for Widdicomb. This headboard is part of his Sundra line for them and is marked as such. It is in excellent vintage condition. One look at this and you can see why everyone loved a Nakashima piece even if its one that was done for Widdicomb and not out of his studio. It is stunning and has a beauty. Style yet simplicity not often found in pieces today. The headboard measures 87" long and 35 1/2" tall. Technically it is a twin. However, the person that we purchase it from had been using it as a queen just by using a platform bed with it. You could move those supports over, I took a picture of the back so you can see, and easily set it up for a full or queen. I actually think it works nicer for this size that way. Mid 19th Century 4 Post Bed Nice Maple Color Pine Headboard
Wonderful mid 19th century 4 post bed. Bed is in very good condition with nice old finish and great patina. The wooden frame of this bed has been replaced to fit a larger mattress. It comes complete with all the bed bolts to assemble the bed. The posts measure 81" tall. The rails measure 72-1/2" for the sides and 55" for the head and foot rails. The headboard is made of pine and the posts are maple. There is some splitting to some of the posts, but they are strong and sturdy.

Mid Century Modern Milo Baughman King Headboard Thayer Coggin DIA
This is an outstanding example of Milo Baughman's incredible design ability. A king size chrome headboard with pre-drilled holes for attaching to your bed frame. Designed in the 1970's. I believe he designed this for the Design Institute of America but have been unable to verify this with certainty. It does have very slight age appropriate wear as seen in pics#10-12. The chrome has slight buffing from normal wear. The scratch shown in pic#12 is approximately 1.5" long and is on the lower horizontal bar and would be covered by the mattress or pillows. I have many vintage items listed and more on the way including some rare pieces by LANE. This is a hard to find set of furniture by LANE it even has an original tag. This will look great in any Mid Century home. You get the dresser with 2 mirrors with 6 drawers and the center door. 2 night stands each one with a drawer and storage below, and 1 headboard. The mirrors can be adjusted up and down. These are in good used condition and have wear you would expect for pieces of this age they are not perfect and no originals are. This is quality made furniture that will last for many more years to come. I took a few close ups of some dings but overall these are nice.
