I think the wood could be walnut the more I look at it in this dark finish. The overall size is 21 inches square and 35 inches high overall. Each section is 10 inches wide, 7 inches deep, 11 inches high and 12 inches high on the bottom shelf. It is missing a few of the brass tacks, but overall it is complete. The bottom of one of the sections has a crack and oval stain, which has no effect on the bookcase. Shipping starts at $185 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.

The bed is twin size and should fit a standard twin matress though the frame will need to be modified somewhat to accomodate. The bed has a curved canopy with reeded and turned posts with finial tops. There is a headboard but no footboard. The posts are 74 1/2" high and the canopy is 84" at the highest. This 4-post bed frame is absolutely beautiful. Some specifics: From the 1940's. On each post. There is a sculpted pineapple, the universal"welcome" symbol. Measures approximately 54" wide x 49" high. Used for full size bed. But I was told it would also work for a queen size as well. Check measurements above. Has six 3" thick wooden slats that hold mattress in place.
