This auction is for a set of 4 Vintage Anchor Hocking Fire King Jane Ray 9" dinner plates. These are BEAUTIFUL! I had the sad news of the passing of an old accquaintance. The family asked me if I would look at these plates and let them know if they were worth anything.They were found still in the original box in the attic. although sadly the box had dry rotted and wasn't able to be saved) I don't see any knicks. It measures 2 5/8" x 6 1/8" and has identifying numbers: a.01 380494 in two places on the face. This banknote was minted and circulated in 1955-drachma banknotes and coins were the national currency of Greece from 1833 until 2002. On 1/1/02. The drachma ceased to be legal tender and was replaced by Euro Banknotes. This Greek 10 Drachmai is attractively styled with lots of orange"creamsicle" ink in the design and interesting for the full face and shoulder portrait of King George I, it bears on the front of the note. King George I became King of Greece at age 17 and reigned for 50 years- from 1863 until 1913- when he was assassinated. This note has been stored flat. EAPG King's Curtain Water Pitcher Early American Pressed Glass circa 1880's
Beautiful. Heavy Victorian water pitcher in the King's Curtain pattern. Maker of this pattern has not been identified, but most reference sources say this piece was probably made in the 1880's. Pitcher has one chip on the base and some surface scratches on top near the lip(see photos) but I have found no other damage. Measures 8 1/2" from base to highest point of lip. And 7 3/4 inches at the rest of the rim. 5 1/2 inches diameter at the rim with a base that is 5" diameter. Antique round yellow lens sunglasses. Vintage King safety glasses.
Up for bid is a pair of vintage King safety glasses. The frame is made of a silver tone metal(nickel? and are marked King US Model on the bridge. They are in excellent condition with no breaks or repairs. All parts are original. The temple hinges are a bit loose but this is normal since the temples are attached with pins instead of screws. The nonprescription lenses are a deep yellow which increases the contrast of objects through the lenses. The glass lenses are in good condition with only light scratches. There is a manufacture's defect(3 waves) in the outer portion of the left lens. Since it is towards the edge of the lens it isn't noticeable when looking through the lens. The glasses measure 5 inches across the front of the frame(hinge to hinge) The round lenses are 46mm in diameter. Please feel free to ask questions.
