Obverse: Dark toning which heightens the rub on the high points. But has very nice glossy luster- Reverse: Toned with some decent luster- Really nice coin despite the grade- This series is one of the most difficult for me to put together in UNC/BU- I am particularly very fond of this design which is very simplistic. Elegant, and stylish- One of the most overall condition sensitive coins minted in the British India series- The fields get worn easily. And then we have the rub on the high points- Outer rim protects the reverse better than the obverse- The strikes were not the best in this series either. And many of these coins have not so great strikes in general- Sometimes the rims have nicks and dings because the the out rim is virtually a 90 degree angle- Don't forget the planchette flaws either that shows it's ugly head once in a ... morewhile- It's always the damn obverse with these coins which poses a problem to the collector/dealer/investor/dealer-investor/collector-investor-dealer-collector. Obverse: Stunning strike. Eye candy luster, and gorgeous fields- Reverse: Exceptional strike. Beautiful luster, and sharp details- My pictures are garbage for this one. And these strikes were the worst because of the die design+it had to survive circulation. This is one of the most condition sensitive dates in the series, more than George the 5th, and this coin has EXCEPTIONAL EYE APPEAL hands down! INDIA NGC MS 62 1930 C 2 TWO ANNAS RAINBOWNIA KING GEORGE
Obverse: The middle of George is Salmon Pink and blends into a sky blue derivative. And electric pastel yellow. But there six carbon spots as well in sporadic places. Decent strike though, and is a very attractive coin- Reverse: Exceptional strike with the same type of toning scheme but not as deep in hue- My pictures are garbage for this one. Obverse: Blazing luster with some light toning that is uniform. Nice strike. Two minuscule carbon spots behind his head, and near the"GE" there is a little more toning than normal, flawless fields almost, but overall splendid gem eye appeal- Reverse: Same type of luster as the obverse but some toning streaks.
