This is a set or pair of iron bed rails typically used on antique iron beds. They measure 73 1/4" long from tip to tip and 72 1/4" long not counting the pins and have tapered pins which are 7/8" across at the top. We provided pictures that show the measurements using a tape measure. There is some obvious paint loss which is typical but otherwise are fine. We also have some other bed rails presently listed in our store. It is available for pick up or can be shipped by Fed Ex ground for 28.80 including insurance to the lower 48 states. We will gladly combine lots whenever possible to save on shipping costs.

Gorgeous Antique Vintage Brass and Iron Bed
This is a Gorgeous Antique Brass and Iron Full Size Bed. I believe it was made in the late 1800's or very early 1900's but I'm not an expert. Great for decorating a spare room. We've had this bed for over 40 years and I hate to part with it but we have recently re-done our spare room and just don't have room for it any longer. The pictures just don't do it justice. In person. The brass really shines and everything is in excellent condition. We are"antiquers" and looked a long time for this bed. We have never seen another that is so exquisitely decorated with brass on both the head and foot as this one is and in as good condition. It has all the original parts and pieces and it comes with a literally like-new, hardly used firm mattress. Vintage China& Brass JELLYMOULD Victorian Bed Knob An unusual Victorian China& Brass JELLYMOULD BED KNOB. It is very ornate and has diamond patent marks on both the china and brass parts. It measures two-and-five-eighths inches high. And one-and-seven-eighths inches in diameter. China part has crazing to glaze and some minor chips at base where brass is clipped over. But otherwise looks very good. Brass part has some age cracking at'neck' but is still strong enough to use. Hole is about 3/8" diameter but thread looks worn. Much of the original lacquer remains and it has not been repolished. Thread could be repaired by soldering a thick washer to base and recutting thread, or filling with epoxy resin. Antique Brass and Iron Bed - Single (old size) - Original - Not a Reproduction
This bed is 42" wide X 73 1/2" Today's singles are 39" X 75" The headboard is 46" tall. The footboard is 31 3/4" tall. It does not have casters. The ball finials are approx. 2" in diameter This beauty has a solid presence. You can see it's history in the layers of paint. It's currently ivory colored with some chipping of the paint. It once was the same green as the rails. We didn't shine the brass since there is a warm patina on the heavy brass balls. It has a brass rail at the top across the headboard and footboard. The footboard rail has a narrow split that runs approx. 5" across the top& then continues down the side and underneath. But the rail is still very solid! The iron has some fancy detailing and turning before it reaches the brass railings. On the headboard- on either side ... moreof the upright iron posts there is a small hole on either side. Approx. 36 2/4" up. I don't know what these were meant for. But they're original to the bed. A local welder can stretch the rails(add angle iron in the middle of each) and the use of built up wood slats across the rails would accommodate a single or possibly even a full double with 6" overhang on either side.

Brass post caps from old iron bed
These four bed post caps which I believe to be brass along with 4 rings were acquired from a neighbors lawn sale at least 20 years ago. At that time. The neighbor said it was originally her grandmother's bed(I believe she said from Texas) I used the older than 1950 category because I believe it is likely that it is that old but I have no way of knowing the exact age except from the fact that she said it was her grandmother's bed. The bed itself was iron and I included a picture of the bed from years ago. The bed was kept in less than ideal storage and deteriorated to the point of being discarded. I held onto the brass post caps. They are far from perfect. Two are shinier because I attempted to clean them up years ago, something I discovered later is not the thing to do to an antique. TWO PIECE VINTAGE CHINESE HAND CAST BRASS SILK IRON, BED WARMER
Offered in this auction is a charming. Beautiful brass Chinese Silk Coal Iron. This was sold as a 2 piece set at an estate sale. The support piece on the bottom of the handle was to keep the iron from tipping. These unique irons are now used as decorative accents. This one measures about 7" long, 3.5" wide. Depth is about 2" The bottom is incised China. The larger piece is 7" tall by 7" wide with ornate handles adorning the sides. The bottom of the larger piece appears to be copper. Wonderful full size Antique Brass and Iron Bed with platform insert for mattress. A very rare find indeed. 52.5" wide by 72" long inside frame box spring frame. Very heavy, headboard foot board on easy to move wheels. This beauty will not fit in my new house. Original manufacturer sticker and stamp see photo's. Copywrite 1910 and 1911. Dents or breaks- needs a good cleaning and polishing- some white paint on backside of the headboard- some tarnish marks and tarnish runs on the headboard and footboard but they should clean right up. Measurements: overall length 80" overall width 37" Inside dimensions 76" x 36" Headboard is 55" high- Footboard is 39" high. Queen Size Romantic, Cherub-Adorned White Iron/Brass Bed w/ Platform Bed Frame
This is a lovely bed especially for lovers of cherubs/angels. A pair of them adorn the very top. Middle of both the head and footboards. With all the other lavish scroll work of both the iron and brass, you'll think you are sleeping in heaven! The headboard measures 60 inches tall at its highest point. Footboard measures 47 inches tall at its highest point. Both are identical except for the height difference. Headboard is in very good condition with only a view paint dings/wear most noticeably on the heart-shaped object between the two cherubs. Footboard is in good condition with some paint dings/wear. There is a cracked area in the iron portion of the footboard(see last two photos) This is more a cosmetic issue since the bed is so well-built and heavy, it does not effect the structural integrity at all.
