The chairs are both tight and sturdy with strong, tight rush bottom seats that were probably replaced in the latter 20th century. The chairs each stand 38 inches tall to the top of the back and measure 21 1/2 inches wide by 22 inches front to back. The seats are 15 inches in height and are 20 1/2 inches wide by 18 1/2 inches, front to back. The back rest and across front of the seats on the chairs are beautifully carved and appear to have hand turned stretchers. These chairs appear to be made of walnut, with rush bottom seats. These were my kid sisters skis from back in the'70s. I was useing 205cm at the time but she liked these 170cm'cause they were short for a 10 yr old girl. They didn't get hacked to death like most skis and are in great shape. There's scratches and such on the top but we grew up skiing at Wolf Creek where there's always powder and no rocks so the blue P-Tex bases and the metal edges are excellant. Hard to find the old"French Cock" Stratos. These would be a sweet addition to your collection.

And I am continuing to list these as I retrieve them from their boxes. South West France proved to be a fabulous hunting ground, and the warm sun, the glorious food and the lovely people I met made the sojourn far more than a“buying trip” My next trip in May this year is already planned, and my contacts have been alerted! In the meantime, enjoy the antique and vintage French items I currently have listed. Earlier in the week I opened a box of my best finds– glorious 19 th century bed canopies. Lace tulle bedspreads and curtains, 19 th century fabrics etc. irresistible! An absolutely beautiful large antique tulle lace panel- ... morecurrently gathered on to a cotton header tape. As it was originally a curtain or drape. The panel measures 285cm wide x 270cm long. It is long enough to be used as a door curtain or bed drape too. Freshly laundered with no marks or stains- the tulle ground is a creamy white- the central, 35cm wide hand made lace panel is a slightly darker tone, as I believe it is made from fine linen thread. The hand made bobbin lace inserts and edgings, and the long cotton tassels are all white. The panel is in excellent condition- just one tiny hole(last image) and a couple of miniscule rust spots to the reverse of the header tape, where it was once sewn on to metals hoops that fitted over a brass curtain pole. This is a wonderful example of this kind of French lace curtain- you could suspend it from the ceiling as a floaty room divider, or attach it to a larger panel of a contrasting colour to make an amazing bedspread. Very difficult to find antique lace panels in such good condition- just lovely! More photographs below. I have for auction this stunning and most unusual original Art Deco french chandelier. C1920s. I have never seen anything quite like it before. It really SHOUT S ART DECO. It was found in a house clearance here in the S outh of France. The main frame. Chain and original ceiling rose look to me to be made of nickel plated metal, much used in the Art Deco period. The new finish to look like silver but would not tarnish, the chandelier is adorned in long glass tubes and beautiful bright emerald green drops, there are approx 5 glass tubes missing or broken, please see all 12 photo's, this is hardly noticeable and the chandelier is basically commensurate with it's age, it simply emphasizes this is an original Art Deco chandelier and NOT a reproduction. I adore the shape of the chandelier, it is like a huge star, very unusual and it will ... morelook stunning in any Art Deco interior and I am sure it will be much admired. T he chandelier is wired but this is old w iring. So it would be very wise to have it checked before use, the chandelier is designed to take a single standard bayonnet type light bulb. Antique French Baccarat Cut Glass Perfume Bottle-ca.1900's /1800's?
HI. UP FOR AUCTION we have a Stunning Antique French Baccarat Cut Glass Perfume Bottle. The bottle is 10-sided with 5 horizontal rings cut around the cylinder. Plus each of the 10 sides are faceted. Quite complicated. Each horizontal cut had gold leafing which is mostly faded away, depends on how the light catches the bottle. There is also a star or snowflake motif going around the center facets of the bottle. Some are more worn than others. There is a small ground indentation on the bottom of the bottle. I believe a pontil mark which was ground down so the bottle would sit flat. A small chip on the end of the stopper. The size of the bottle is 5 1/2" to the top of the stopper. 4" to the top of the bottle lip. And the bottle is 1 3/4" wide. Check out the pictures and good luck. Acquired at an upscale estate sale in Philadelphia. The bottles are miniatures. They are antique bottles purchased in Paris. I am not sure what type metal is on the bottle. This auction is for 6 Czech Amber Crystal Prism-French cut from the 1940's. These hand cut crystals are quite unique due to their french cut style and larger size. These are ready to be attached or strung on an existing chandelier or sconce. The precision involved to hand cut these is amazing and we have a very limited supply on them. These are 3 1/4" long. Antique French linen hemp sheet, 106 x 61", tiny blue B cross stitch,
Thick. Soft and heavy. Pure creamy/off white antique linen- I've photographed it against white linen in the last photo. For colour comparison. This sheet was made well before 1900. When the looms were still narrow. Two lengths of linen have been minutely hand sewn together to make a larger sheet. There is a small blue cross stitch letter B at top hem. Everything has been hand sewn. Central seam and hems. Selvedge edges. Size is 106" x 62" and it weighs 4.2 pounds. There are quite a few well disguised darns in this material which don't show until close up. And a yellow mark. I haven't washed the sheet. This is such good thick quality linen. Yet so soft and supple, I would recommend using it as good quality upholstery material. It could also be used as a sheet. ~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~ Wonderful aged. Antique textile! I adore the aged quality of this textile ~ so perfectly time-touched! This quilt began it's life c1810 and the first layer was a striped ground printed cotton ~ this quilt was then covered over c1870 with this lovely large scale printed cotton with red ground and wonderful cream floral pattern ~ this textile has the most gorgeous timeworn look ~ I simply adore the tones! The backing fabric that is exposed is the original fabric and I would date this fabric from the 18th century, c1790~ I've seen this wonderful woven stripe on many 18th century quilts used on the back ~ this fabric is hand woven using both linen and cotton and is STUNNING ~ it has that gorgeous aged tone also ~ This textile would make a stunning decorative touch to any antique interior ~ I've ... morefreshly laundered this quilt and it's ready to use ~*~ You can see the front red fabric will need to be restiched to the backing, however a simple fix! Antique French quilt Provence piquee block printed fabric c1850 PALE ground
~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~ A wonderful textile ~ this lovely antique French quilt dates c1850 ~ wonderful madder printed fabrics on each side! This quilt is ideal for anyone that doesn't mind the signs of time and use that are often inherent in these wonderful antique pieces ~*~ This quilt is one of my favorites as the ground tone is the wonderful off-white! ~ This quilt has two sides ~ the faded rose side has the most wonderful fresh ground tone! Most of the pattern has faded away with time. However the wonderful outlines of the rose, stem and foliage remain~ the colors are wonderful true red and a pale golden yellow ~ The opposite side has a warmer creamy toned ground with lovely faded black, faded raspberry red and muted golden yellow ~ also the pattern has faded beautifully with time. The scale of each side is a medium ... morescale design ~ The hand stitched quilting on this textile is BEAUTIFULLY done. The sides are corded and the central section is all hand stitched with a tiny diamond pattern. This quilt is a thin quilt, lovely thin layer of cotton batting between the layers, beautiful soft texture ~*~ I've freshly laundered this lovely quilt and it's ready to use. The faded rose design side has a large. Square of a pink stain( please see photographs) near the bottom and also has pale staining dotted here and there( please see photographs) the opposite side also has staining dotted here and there with some pale gray marks also. This quilt has a few small holes, however has very little wear for it's age! Antique French quilt Provincial piquee block printed fabric c1815
~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~ I absolutely love the fabric on this wonderful quilt ~ this textile is an antique French piquee quilt dating c1815-1820 ~ wonderful medium scale leaf design! This fabric was printed using hand carved wooden blocks with wonderful Provincial colors! Lovely China blue. Deep madder red, antique pink, pale green, and the outline is a wonderful deep dark eggplant purple ~ the printing of this fabric was very labor intensive, and there were a minimum of 6 hand carved blocks to make this gorgeous design. The backing of this quilt is a lovely medium weight off-white cotton. This textile is 100% hand stitched and hand quilted. This quilt has many many small and medium sized holes in the surface of the printed side fabric. The weight of the cotton and the use has worn this fabric through in many places exposing ... morethe batting, so this textile should be enjoyed as a decorative textiles or ideal for reproduction and design inspiration, ideal too for a timeworn interior. The holes are largest near the middle and the sides, where it was hand stitched in the lovely cording pattern, are in better condition than the middle ~*~ ~ this textile has not been cleaned and has age and storage marks on each side. MAJOLICA Antique RARE French BIOT Poterie Footed Bowl Tin Glazed Majolica This is a beautiful footed pottery bowl made by the BIOT earthenware pottery whose family has been making this pottery in the BIOT area of France since the mid 1800's. The pottery has a tin glaze similar to majolica pottery. Vivid color of green and shiny bright glaze. BIOT pottery is difficult to find. BIOT famous earthenware pottery has been a tradition in this tiny BIOT French coastal village for nearly two hundred years. Every BIOT piece of pottery is marked with the BIOT mark which is the 4 letters of BIOT surrounded by two figure 8s signifying the 16 families who saved BIOT's poterie heritage.
