Up for auction is this incredible late Edwardian to early 1920’s printed silk robe or lingerie over-dress. The robe has an incredible abstract print of lily of the valley flowers with geometrics with a slightly high waist. 3/4 length sleeves, gathered detail at the neck and cuffs, ribbon belt with ball tassels, ribbon bows on cuffs and bias patch pockets. The details and geometric pocket shapes on this piece are outstanding as well as the print. The piece is being sold as is and does have some unevenness/fading to the fabric, some pin-holes through out, and a few tiny period repairs. I would appreciate any information on a maker or an era which this furniture was made. The bedroom set is beautifully hand crafted with solid oak and veneers. The joints are all dove tail and it appears everything is individually hand crafted not machine made as far as carved accents and engraved pieces. This will need restoration to become the masterpiece it once was. I think there is only a couple tiny pieces missing that can easily be crafted which I think are at the very end of bed in the center design. the flaked veneers should be there also but may need new veneer work in my opinion. the dressers are on wood casters. Vintage peach silky bed jacket. This is such a pretty piece. Delicate lace and the sweetest bow and flowers embroidered on the front. Lovely pin tucking at the shoulders with a puffed sleeve. The estate sale I got this at all the rest of the lingerie was a size large but this doesn't have a tag and I worry because of how old it is. It's very comfortable as a medium and I feel it does have some room past that but check out the measurements. Condition is fantastic, it's hard to find these in such good shape. 1917 Old Antique Murphy "in-a-dor" Bed Complete Vintage Art Deco Headboard
This is a Murphy Bed that Came out of a hotel in Atlantic City. And went into my Grandmothers house in the 50's. It says patented March 16,1917(as well as the previous patent dates) It is in perfect working condition, and is balanced and smooth when opening up. It is still in great shape. There is no rust, and all of the springs are intact and working properly. It comes with the Original mattress, and mounting hardware. The bed was designed to mount on the door jamb of closet. when not in use, it pivots inside the closet for storage. When needed, it swivels out of closet, and into the room, you just pull in down, and you have a bed made up and ready to go. You can even have the sheets and blankets on it already. It doesn't have to be mounted in a closet though. We had one in a closet, but this one was mounted to the wall in the corner ... moreof a back sitting room. We had a piece of fabric on a shower curtain like thing that hid it behind decorative fabric. It really is in perfect condition as we rarely used it(Christmas and Easter) There are a few scratches in the paint in the footboard legs(see pics) but other than that, it is a relic that has been perfectly preserved. I am only selling it because we are getting rid of the family house. It is not mounted currently(obviously by the pics) but mounts easily with 8 screws in about 10 mins. This is perfect for someone with an older house that has small rooms. It is great as a guest bed, because it is out of the way until you need it, allowing your guest room to be an office, sitting room or whatever until you have guests over. This is a beautiful matched set. The lamps are 11" tall. The base of the lamps are 4 1/2" The shades are 2 1/4" in diameter. The reading lamp is 11" long. They all work. They have their original cords and plugs. You cannot see the chips in the base of the shades when they are placed in the bases. The chips do not affect the way the shades sit in the bases.

French Line: From the trend-setting ILE DE FRANCE. A lovely marquetry full-size bed from one of the suites. The bed is an outstanding example of the ship's Art Deco decor. John Maxtone-Graham calls the ILE DE FRANCE"the great divide from which point ocean liner decorators reached forward rather than back. The headboard and footboard feature book-matched crotch mahogany with inserted Japanese ash squares forming a checkered pattern. The frame is oak. The footboard also has an extended curving skirt base. There are heavy oak side rails and cross supports. A custom-made plywood box fits into the space and raises newly manufactured mattress to the proper height. The bed is very comfortable. I see a few pencil markings on back but nothing that indicates a cabin or shipyard number. Fitted onto the footboard is a little brass plaque with ... morethe ship's name. It is called a"Darcy Plaque" after Gene Darcy. The visionary who traveled the country in the early 1970s selling off china and furniture from the QUEEN MARY. According to an April 15, 1972, article in The New York Times, Darcy's"Store of the QUEENS" was such a success that the French Line offered him a warehouse of their left-over furniture. I believe that is where this bed comes from. Other than a few light scratches. The bed is in excellent condition. For sale is this beautiful French Boudoir doll. She is almost 100 years old and does have a few minor issues. But for her age she is in excellent condition! She is 21" Has a silk cloth body with half bisque arms and legs. She has molded gold shoes which have a few rubs on the gold paint. Her hair is near perfect in its original set. If you part the strands of her hair you will see her head has been made of newspaper which has French print on it. Her face is silk. Her make-up still beautiful. She has"hair" eyelashes that are all present and intact. She has a small mark on her right cheek and a light rub on the tip of her nose. She is missing the tips of both of her thumbs. VINTAGE BED LAMP HEADBOARD HANGING LIGHT RETRO ART DECO BULLET SHAPE AQUA & GOLD
When it hits"Rock Bottom" I Rescue! ITEM# 224 Fantastic True Vintage Hanging Headboard lamp. Reading light. From original hardware, cord and metal frame, the lamp appears to be 50's era, mid-century modern, and it is a true vintage piece. Measures 10-3/4" long from knob switch, across to metal frame hardware end piece. Almost 4" wide across the top. Original cord is an off white color, a little stiff and plug is old type 2 prong. This lamp works perfectly but if you are going to use it regularly, I would suggest replacing the old cord for safety's sake. I bought the light bulb you see in the photos(not included due to fragility) at the lighting center in Lowe's. Replacement bulb is available anywhere they sell lighting supplies or bulbs, even grocery stores have them. A regular style lightbulb fits in here ... morealso, but I just like the look of the long bulb better. There is a black switch that extends on the one end that turns the lamp"on" or"off" without having to unplug it. Outside ends are molded plastic pieces in a pretty aqua blue. Close to turquoise blue. The middle panel is a magnetic metal hood piece that has a shiny diamond textured gold finish on the outside, plain silver finish lines inside the hood. Sturdy wire frame attaches to both sides of"bullet" lamp. Hooks that attach to bed headboard are covered in rubber type tubing to protect furniture surfaces. Metal frame has some light age oxidation. Scalloped end caps and gold hood adjust by sliding carefully. No cracks in end panel caps, everything looks good. Small black scuff mark on blue cap near ribbing design may not be permanent, I think everything will clean up nicely, I just gave it a once over, the lamp was taken care of in its past life. Like most items I rescue. This item had a prior home. It will show signs of use, age and wear in varying degrees- which is part of true vintage appeal. Antique Art Deco Fir Wooden Table Lamp Accent Bed
Now here is something unique! A clearly antique table lamp in the art deco style. If you had any doubt that this lamp was authentic. The patina of the wood would quickly put that aside. One look at the cord and that would further convince you. This is a terrific piece of folk art from time when people made things themselves. The wood is Fir, very well aged. Now I have tested it and the lamp works but I would have a hard time recommending that you actually use this light without rewiring. Again, look closely at the pictures of the wiring and you will understand. Thank you for having a look at this wonderful history. There is also discoloration fading on the gold paint. Base is cast iron with a Vaseline/Uranium glass center that is centered between two ornate brass sections. Painted gold cast iron base. All the wiring and socket looks to be in good condition without any bare wires showing. Lamp is in working condition. It does not include the light bulb. The lamp shade holder is not removable. This is an all Cotton Bedspread C1930s in very good condition. This type of Bedspread was/is known as a'Melissa'These are now seldom found. It is made of a fairly big weave and is vulnerable to'pulls' so if your Pet likes to curl up on your Bed this is not for you! There is an imperfect part in the weaving on this one as in pic 4. The width is 77.5" and the length is 89" so this is suitable for a double bed. This has been newly washed and has no marks or stains.It appears this has had hardly any use. It may be reversed for use but the ends of the length are hemmed so the first pics are of the official'right' side though I rather like the reverse too.the last two pictures!
