VINTAGE ART DECO BED HEADBOARD READING LAMP PINK HERRINGBONE SHADE
This is a vintage bed headboard reading lamp with a pink glass herringbone shade and metal ends. It is in a metal frame with hooks that fit over the top of a headboard so the lamp is over your head. It measures 11" long and the glass shade is 2" square. The glass is in very good condition with no chips or cracks and the lamp works. The glass and frame are all original but the cord has been replaced with a new one for safety. The lamp dates to the 1930's- 40's era.

This is a fantastic vintage compo and cloth Boudoir doll by Anita doll company circa 1929. She is 29" long with a compo torso/neck and head and arms with a cloth lower body/legs. She is in good condition for her age with the only flaw being a thin original wig. Head is a tad bit loose as well. I gave her a new"daisy" style mohair wig) Shoes are a little rough with one missing the heel and buckle. She is wearing her original organdy cotton dress with flanged sleeves. Matching hat and satin slip. Her head does swivel. She has a great expression with a nice smile. No repaint or touch-ups. A similar doll can be seen on page 52 of the Deco Doll book by Oroyan. Here is the most beautiful and very hard-to-find bed light that I have ever seen. It recently came out of a local mid-Nebraska estate and is all original in every way. Made with 2 layers of fabric- inner pink crepe silk and outer mocha fabric. This is covered with gold metallic lace over a wire frame. It is enhanced with Czech glass bead fringes. Pink and gold metallic trim and fabric(silk? apple blossom flowers and leaves. All fabrics are in good condition. The frame measures 10 1/2" wide by 8" high in the middle by 4" deep. VTG COOL Art Deco Clip On Headboard Reading Light Portable Bed Lamp
Here is a cool retro item originally used as a headboard lamp for reading. It is about 8 inches wide. Light blue plastic with gold metal plate on top. I guess it is for heat from bulb to escape upward? Check the side panels and you will see both have cracks. These do not prevent its use as designed but I would recommend reinforcing the inside along these cracks with some tape. It would not be visible and it would add some strength to the area. It is missing the metal hook piece that attaches to the backside rack and would then be looped over the headboard. Wouldn't be too hard to fashion one out of some wire but the rack has holes so that you can attach this to the wall with 2 screws. This is a neat piece from the 50s-60s era. Unusual SUPER RARE Art Deco wooden walnut bed headboard foot board mid-century
Presented for your consideration is a solid Art Deco inspired walnut wooden headboard/foot board set with a unique"double mirror image" wood grain pattern on both pieces( notice the mirror effect is in two sections. Both horizontal and vertical-NEVER seen anything like it before; even the lower section of the foot board has a mirror image effect with the wood pattern) I bought this set from an antique auction back in the 1990's while living near the San Francisco Bay Area. The seller estimated that this was crafted sometime in the 1940's or 1950's. The core wood seems to be walnut. It is HEAVY. And very hard. There is a veneer applied on several surfaces. To include the curved edges. But what is most intriguing is that the mirror wood pattern seen on the front of both pieces also exists subdued on the backside of the ... morefootboard, while the headboard has a different pattern. This may be due to the complexity of the footboard construction. It is curved(there is a photo included that shows this, propped up against a straight wall) and you can see a careful arrangement of wood segments in the base to help make the curve possible. The headboard is 53.75" wide and 45" tall. The footboard is 53" wide and 27" tall. This is a very unique set. I've never seen anything quite like it. It is in fine shape. But not pristine and looks pretty much as you see it. There are minor wood chips to the veneer found along various edges. But overall there are no major gouges or dents, at least in the most visible areas. At the bottom of the footboard the veneer has chipped off a little. It displays beautifully but could plausibly be restored to perfection. There are rails included with this set. It opens up in an"H" pattern. However, one of the metal supports on the footboard cracked and split. I'm not sure if it can be fixed, or replaced with a similar design. Vintage Art Deco Hand Paintted Glass Bed Headboard Reading Lamp Light- Works This is a vintage art deco headboard lamp that is a bright white with a pretty handpainted floral glass cylinder. One end of the glass cylinder was cracked and taped as seen. This is the area where the end cap slides in the metal holder. The cap area overlaps the glass and most of this area is covered by the metal. A small portion of the cracked taped area is on the glass cylinder which can be rotated if desired. I showed the cord where the outer covering was gone and put tape around those areas. Wanted you to see the cord was fine but if desired could be replaced. A brown tape would look better but used what I had to show the area. There is a on off switch on the cord and works fine. Measures 7" long by almost 3" wide with a 6 foot cord. It has brackets ... morefor hanging on the back of the headboard. The bulb is 40 watt but could be lower. There are two screws on the bracket which when loosened makes gettint the cylinder on and off easier when the light bulb needs changing. The end caps are in nice condition but vintage. Thick and fluid, this would make a wonderful drape, or perfect as a bed sheet. All hems are handsewn and the ladderwork hem is 3.25" deep. The monogram is done in Art Deco style in a satin white thread. Which shows off beautifully against the light ecru or creamy white sheet.
