The cushions are wedge shaped, and measure 35in long, 3in wide at the top, and 4.5in wide at the bottom. The fabric has no rips or tears and is in good condition. I have photographed the spots that I have found on the fabric. I believe these spots will come out with a good washing. The fabric is a printed linen, from the 5th Avenue Design Inc. Up for your consideration. This is a Modern Danish Teak Platform bed with Floating Night Stands by SCAN. The bed is an older model. Manufactured sometime in the 80s. It has had 2 owners and was bought sometime in the mid-80s. For a majority of this time, the bed was used in a guest bedroom, so it was used very little during that time. Second owner has had it for approximately 7 years. The bed is in excellent condition for its age. It has always been well cared for. Having been kept cleaned, dusted, etc. In years past, the SCAN store would sell an oil that you would use to put a layer on the wood, let it soak in, then wipe it off. We have also used Murphys Oil Soap, basically the same concept using this. The bed has been taken apart. However it is for a Queen size bed, the headboard is 106 3/4" wide and 33.5" high. The two night ... morestands"float" on hardware attached to the headboard. They each have a slide out drawer with a shelf underneath. When the bed is put together, there is a frame that sets on the floor and attaches to to headboard, The platform then rests on top of this and attaches to the headboard with several bolts. The slats for the mattress is placed on top of the platform and finally a mattress(not included) You do not need/use a box spring with this bed. The bedspread and the cat is not included with the bed. Now for the nitty gritty. The bed has very little wear and tear. However there may be a few scratches, minor/cosmetic. There are no"chunks" of wood missing. The only thing broken on this is the one board in the line of slats(see first picture) I tried to get the best pictures I could but the room is small so this was the best. Mattel Modern Wooden Queen Platform Bed with it Original Bedding: Mattress. Pillow, and Bedspread Stock# 807. Circa 1958 This Danish Modern styled. Eames-era, Mid-Century Modern little toy platform doll bed has a dark walnut veneer. It has a rice paper accent on the headboard. The Queen bed retains its original bedding. It has a cotton mattress(largely flat) a pillow(covered in the same fabric) and a tailored yellow cotton bedspread with gold metallic threads. The bedspread fabric has some of its original crispness and has some age related holes(please see photographs) There is an attractive pattern on the bedspread fabric and it has a decidedly Japanese construction. Some of the rice paper on the headboard has worn on the edges. The bottom of the platform bears the iconic Mattel Modern stamp-indicating it was manufactured in Japan. Minor veneer chips on the lower part near the footboard- see pictures 7 and 8) which are not very notable but should be mentioned. The nightstands show nicely, I believe the tops were refinished at some point. There is some minor wear on the left side of one nightstand at the edge which in not very notable but should be mentioned(see image 6) The headboard is 2 pieces that clip together to the center upright piece. When the previous owner took the bed apart they slightly damaged the inside wood of the headboard where the screws that clip the headboard together go in- This is only visible when the headboard is taken apart and is very sturdy when assembled. There is a slightly raised bump from this on the lower part of the headboard from this repair(see pictures 9 and 10) however it is below the slats so it is never visible, especially with the mattress is place. This repair does not compromise the structural integrity of the bed. When assembled the bed measures 28.75" tall by 121.25" wide. Selig End of the Bed Bench Danish Modern Mid Century Ottoman Stool Settee
Rare Selig End of the Bed Bench This is a very rare bench by Selig(with tag) made in 1963. These benches go by several names, but are designed to go at the foot of the bed. It needs new fabric, but otherwise in great shape. Could be used as is, but fabric is dirty and beginning to fray. I have never seen a Selig bench and would not have guessed this was Selig. Very neat piece. No smoke or other odors. Overall height is 20" Width is 20" Seat is about 48" long and 20" wide. 15" tall. These will be shipped via Greyhound to the nearest station. Nice Danish Mid Century Modern Walnut Full Bed Headboard Footboard Brohyhill ?
Rescued from the attic of a local estate. I am offering a beautiful, solid and hard-to-find danish modern mid century full bed. Hard to find complete with a footboard. It seems like it should be Broyhill or a competitor. The numbers on the back may indicate the manufacturer but I haven't decided them yet. Beautiful walnut grain and mid-century design in an overall nice vintage condition despite the 2 scratches. Measurements: Headboard: 60.5" x 37.25" x 1.5" Distance between the slots for the rails is about 53-7/8" which one eBayer stated would be for full size mattresses as their queen mattress is 60" wide. You could certainly use the headboard and footboard with a queen mattress but you would need to have another platform or some sort of conversion kit for the rails. Unfortunately on the headboard there are two ... morelarge scratches- 1 on each section. I think you could easily touch up with some matching stain to make less noticeable. Other than these just some minor. Normal wear. Footboard: 58.25" x 15.25" x 2.5" It is in very good condition with normal wear but nothing significant to note. Rails approx 76.5" long not including the ends that insert into the head and footboards. Please look carefully and let me know if you have any questions prior to purchase to avoid disappointment.
