1950's Heywood Wakefield Double Bed Frame This Mid-Century Modern full size bed from iconic furniture maker Heywood Wakefield has clean. Rounded lines. No corners to take out a shin. Each piece measures 57 1/2" wide. The headboard stands 35" tall and the footboard stands 23 1/2" tall. The finish is classic Heywood Wakefield I just don't know if it is Champagne or Wheat; but it is a lovely light blondish color. The set is complete with both headboard. Footboard and the connecting rails. It is not stamped but it is from the 1950's as it was bought for my as a teen and which make the frame at least 60 years old. This frame is in good condition structurally but the wood does show wear as a result of age and use. The caveat to this is that it had been living with kittens. Vintage 1960's Bassett Twin Bed Mid Century Modern
Simple lines. Set includes head board. Foot board, side rails and three slats. Bed appears to be a mahogany veneer, over particle board. This was part of a larger set which included two dressers; both of were stamped with the Bassett mark. The headboard is 32" high and the foot board is 12" high. VERY RARE! We are pleased to offer this unique and exceptional pair of Mid Century(1960s- 1980s) Hollywood Regency reclaimed decorative pieces! The pair once served as the bed posts of a footboard on a Mid Century bed. The pair features large brass lion heads with nice detailing. The bodies are fluted wood columns that taper very slightly toward the bottom. The raised bases are brass. There are screw holes up and inside the bases. I cannot find any information on the bed nor is the manufacturer's mark present. However, these are quite special and obviously high end. They may be custom pieces.not sure. They are quite heavy, weighing 10 pounds each. The backs of the bodies have the attachment housing still intact so the pair could be used as a bed piece. Being presented for sale is this Splendid American early 19th Century Tester Rope Bed.from a Connecticut farm estate) I Believe the wood is maple but MAYBE cherry. This charming bed is crafted with four tall ring turned tapering posts. Straight, chunky side rails and raised up on tall baluster turned legs, with the original rope pegs still intact on all four sides,not twisted to their correct positions in my photos) This fine period bed measures a total height to the top posts is 48" Total length is 83" Each rail measures 76" in length. Height to side rails is 21" Width is 54" Rails measure 46" wide. Side rails and rails at each end have hand made threads.used to put bed together. One end of each of the 4 pieces.The thread is clockwise and the other end is counter clockwise.So,this allows you to attach headboard ... moreand footboard at the same tome,pulls everything tight as you spin the rails) Must have been a very talented craftsman! Here is an absolutely gorgeous antique carved mahogany full size bed. Recently imported from the United Kingdom through Edinburgh, Scotland. This wonderful bed includes carved headboard, footboard and two wood rails with metal brackets that fit into the headboard and footboard. The headboard and footboard both have fluted columns and carved bluebells as shown in my photographs. These pieces have beautiful wood grains and are in very nice respectfully used condition as shown. This bed stands 60 inches tall to the top of the headboard and measures 81 inches long by 56 inches wide. And is made to fit a full size mattress 75" long by 54 inches wide.
