The connecting pieces are made of Cast Iron. The decorative pieces that connect the smaller tubes are made of cast iron. The side rails have a tapered slot that holds them in place tightly. The bed is ding. Chipped, scratched, and scuffed. The frame measures outside 80 ¾ inches by 54 ½ inches. The inside frame measurement is 76 inches by 53 inches. The headboard frame is 50 inches tall. We found this cast iron baby crib on one of our'road trips' through the Midwest. We stopped at a farm sale where 2 generations of family were finally liquidating all of the barn and storage shed pieces that had accumulated over the years. We found this beauty in an empty grain bin. The cast iron frame holder had been previously welded and shows a crack but when we put it together. It was still very sturdy. It still retains some of it's original white paint and has an all over naturally aged worn patina with chippy peeling paint, lots of natural crazing, little dings and all the old untouched age you would expect to find in a piece well over 100yrs old. This is for a very rare and very hard to find solid wood antique spindle bed. Wheels on the bottom with cast iron. Heavy side rails. This is an antique twin bed. Marked VONG on the rails. No other manufacturer name. Very, very old, dating to late 1800s or early 1900s. Normal surface wear. Small dent on the headboard, can be fixed, by sanding and staining if wanted, see photo, it can be repaired. This bed is gorgeous a one-of-a-kind and very, very hard to find. Rails no longer have the screws or bolts to attached, but they can be purchased and installed separately. Circa Late 1800s. We are selling the foot-board. The headboard and the two side rails only. Bed has wheels on bottom. Measures: Headboard- 48" tall x 36" wide x 2" deep. Foot-board- 41" tall x 36" wide x 2" deep. Hi I am selling this old creepy looking iron childs bed frame I think it would make a good horrer film/performance prop or would be a suitable restoration project. It did have ceramic castors but due to age these are broken or missing but as u cant see it still has the brass features on the head board and foot board and has the jigsaw type brackets which means there is no need for bolts. Also as you can see there is a broken strap. Up for bid is this complete and original antique cast iron bed. The bed is standard(full) size overall it measures approximately 59' high by 54 1/4' wide by 80' long. This bed is a real antique it is over 100 years old not a reproduction. The bed has the typical chips in the paint. It is sturdy and in great condition. TWO PIECE VINTAGE CHINESE HAND CAST BRASS SILK IRON, BED WARMER
Offered in this auction is a charming. Beautiful brass Chinese Silk Coal Iron. This was sold as a 2 piece set at an estate sale. The support piece on the bottom of the handle was to keep the iron from tipping. These unique irons are now used as decorative accents. This one measures about 7" long, 3.5" wide. Depth is about 2" The bottom is incised China. The larger piece is 7" tall by 7" wide with ornate handles adorning the sides. The bottom of the larger piece appears to be copper.
