Antique Cast Iron Bed with Tapered Drop In Pin Cone Rails
This is an antique cast iron bed. It has a little rust but still extremely solid. It measures 43 inches by 6 feet and is 56 1/2 inches tall. It probably weighs over 100 pounds. The rails are original and use the tapered drop in cone type of assembly which is very convenient and well engineered because you don't need bolts. Antique British Cast Iron & Brass 'Spirits Be Gone' Bed
VERY unique antique(circa 1860-1870) British iron and brass double/full size bed with canopy. Dimensions: 53" wide by 85" long. Has 3 round medallions on the footboard set in round bulleted brass frames with inlaid copper and mirrored stars used to ward off evil spirits. This was accomplished by setting mirrors around the bed. And when not-so-friendly spirits would see their reflection in the mirrors they would get frightened and go packing! The bed is missing three of the tiny brass balls that go on top of the finals on the head and footboard in addition to what would appear to be larger brass knobs or balls that would sit on the top 4 corners. It is very old, and the iron is aged. When I purchased it I didn't even know there was brass detail, with just a little work it started to shine up. Antique French Black Cast Iron Double Bed 1890s Hand Painted Pinecones Lovely Condition- PICK UP ONLY Description: An antique black painted cast-iron double bed with oval hand-painted inserts. It is located in Santa Cruz. California, and is for pick-up only. It includes headboard, footboard and two rails. The mattress set is not included. This antique French bed has been in our family for 24 years. It is approximately 79" long. 52" wide. As it is European, it is about three inches narrower than a standard American double bed. An American box spring or platform will not fit down inside the frame. Rather, the slats are arranged on top of the frame and the mattress just sits on top of the slats. The mattress hangs over about 1 1/2" on each side, which is no problem. We have used it every day for 24 years and it is quite sturdy( ... morealthough.ahem. we have only had a single sleeper in this bed so we cannot testify to its accommodating more than one! When we purchased it. The oval tin tole-painted inserts were missing, so we had them custom made and professionally painted with three-dimensional pinecones at the head and message at the foot"Rest and be thankful. It has small issues- some of the wee brass bits are a little wobbly. The black paint is lightly chipped in a few places; the old brass is quite tarnished. One of the sides has a small chunk out of the piece that the rail slips into, but once it's in there, it stays in place. It would be an easy repair. Brass & Cast Iron Bed -- Headboard and Footboard Only - 54" Wide, Full Size
We don't list a lot of furniture on eBay. So I'm not sure where to start with this matching headboard and footboard from an antique brass and cast iron bed. So let's start with some measurements. They are about 54" wide and the headboard is 61" tall and the footboard 37" The iron cross pieces are designed with tapered conical holes where the side rails attach, while the upper parts are made of a mix of brass and iron(the magnet test yields a variety of results) suggesting that many of the parts that appear to be brass might just be a brass wash or perhaps a brass tube sleeving a heavier cast iron tube. They have some dents and scratches and discolored areas, and, although it's been a while since we set it up, I seem to recall it's pretty fiddly to put together, with those vertical slats developing a tendency ... moreto slide out of their mounting holes. Original length was 70" but a welder extended the rails to 75" so that a standard full-size(54" x 75" mattress fits in it. Have just sanded and buffed the entire frame. Then sprayed with primer followed by metallic silver. If you want a different color you can easily paint over it but it looks beautiful in silver.

DESCRIPTION: This is not a toy. But a print block that was used in the printing of toy catalogs and advertising. It is marked“The A.C. Williams Co. Ravenna Ohio” on the back. This block shows the hard to find AC Williams stake bed farm truck. It would be neat to display alongside the real toy. MATERIALS: Metal on a wood block DIMENSIONS: Measures about 2 inches long. CONDITION: Overall in GOOD. DISPLAYABLE CONDITION. The factory paper label has been soiled and worn. This probably came out of the old print shop of the A.C. Williams plant. This is a very beautiful and genuine antique late 1800's folding cast iron bed. It has been shortened to be used as a loveseat or settee. The original middle joint has been replaced with a fixed leg so it does not fold in the middle. I believe the mesh wire on the end is also not original. It measures approx 56" long, 32" high, 30.5" wide and the seat is about 16.5" high. It has been reupholstered in a very nice silk fabric with mattress and separate underlayment(like a thin boxspring) also upholstered in the same fabric along with two bolsters. All in excellent clean condition. The frame has been repainted and the paint is excellent, one folding latch has been replaced and there is an older repair plate that was done professionally where one leg was broken, it is sturdy and strong. Original double cast iron sprung bed base
Original double cast iron sprung bed base. Complete and in lovely condition. The main frame(Currently Painted green) will require some cleaning and repainting. So it’s a refurbishment project. All springs, etc. are complete and in really good condition. There are four end brackets(Please see photos) for fixing the bed base. These can be removed as they are bolted to the main base frame. Also included the original ring spanner to loosen the bolts. Hinges work perfectly in the middle to close up and transport the base. In summary a lovely original item for that antique bed refurbishment. Please note. The auction is for the sprungbase only and not the bedstead that is for display only. No postage on this item as it’s heavy and bulky socollection only from Burton on Trent area.

VINTAGE HUBLEY CAST IRON TAKE APART STAKE BED TRUCK TOY. 5 INCHES LONG. Toy is in fair condition with lots of dirty grime. Some scratches, wear, lots of missing paint, rust, missing wheels, and broken bumper. 3 axles and 6 wood hubs are good, 4 white rubber tires missing, 2 existing are hard, cracked, flat, and sad shape. Front bumper broken off. Spring holding stakebed/cab to frame/hood halves is great condition. Toy was heavily played with and shows such. Note 3 cast ridges on each side of hood at fender line, others only have 2. Cool addition to your collection.
