These beds are ready to be ... moreused. MEASUREMENTS: The beds are 80 inches long 42 inches wide at the headboard and 40 inches wide at the footboard. The headboard is 64 inches tall including the crown the footboard is 30 inches tall. The mattresses are 73.5 inches long and 34.5 inches wide. LET’S TALK CONDITION: Excellent condition for the age. Much better than what is typically found beds of this type and era, ready to use very clean and with a wonderful patina to the wood. With the original slats, no replacement wood no discoloration no significant or structural damage. The head side of the rails on each bed have a missing part of the decorative designee and the other rail with one intact and one repaired(see the third photo) One of the footboards has chips on the base of the columns(see last photo) and this footboard also has some loose joints giving it some slight pay, less than typical for antique bedframes. Up for auction is a beautiful. Five piece, waterfall art deco bedroom set from the 1930s. It has its original varnish finish over book matched veneer and is in excellent condition for its age. The dresser has a small chip to the veneer on the right back side, the vanity has an area of dissolved varnish on the top left side(probably from a perfume spill at some point) the headboard was split and repaired along the right join arm(the piece that anchors the headboard to the frame- the repair is invisible when there is a mattress on the frame) and the footboard and siderails have numerous scratches. Overall, there is no major damage to the set and it looks great as-is. There was originally a rectangular stool that went with the vanity. But it was damaged and did not fit into the knee hole area, making it difficult to navigate around. The green ... morechair has been with the set for a long time, and is probably from the 1940s. It does fit into the knee hole area of the vanity perfectly. The dimensions of the dresser are 32" wide. 45" tall, and 18" deep. The vanity is 46" wide, 64" to the top of the mirror, and 18" deep. This beautiful French walnut bedroom suite is circa 1880 and is in excellent antique condition. The quality and beauty of this set is remarkable. Although it is over 130 years old. I see no problems. When we purchased this set about 15 years ago. I totally cleaned the entire set using mineral spirits to remove dirt and old waxes and polishes. I then applied a total of five coats of tung oil to each piece. Tung oil gives an ideal, long-lasting finish to wood. French beds take a slightly different size mattress. So we are including the mattress and box spring with the set. Full-size bedding fits fine. We moved to a different house and have no room in our guest room for these pieces. Up for auction is a vintage/antique Drexel 4 piece bedroom set. This is nice sturdy furniture from the days when things were made to last. I believe my parents bought it in 1958 or 1959. I don’t know much about furniture but I’ll describe them as best I can. The dresser measures approx. 52” wide by 21” deep by 36” high. Has six deep drawers, and matching mirror. The top drawer on both sides has a sliding jewelry tray. Next is the chest of drawers. It stands approx.48” high by 20”deep by 36” wide. There are five drawers. Each a little deeper than the other from top to bottom, ranging from 4” to 18” The top drawer also has a sliding jewelry tray. Third is the night stand. Its dimensions are 28” high by 16” deep by 20” wide. It has one drawer and shelf space underneath. Last but not least is the regular size bed frame. I have the head and foot ... moreboards and the 2 side boards; however I don’t know what became of the slats that hold the mattress and box spring up. This set is used. It has some scratches and chips here and there. There is a reddish stain on the dressers top. Possibly from a perfume spill. Also, when I took the mirror off, I found a brown stain, for lack of a better description, that was hidden underneath that seems to have eaten part of the laminate. A one-drawer one-door carved night stand, a ladies six-drawer writing desk or vanity with matching wall mirror, a stunning five-drawer tall chest, and last but not least, an oversized three-drawer chest or dresser with a matching wall mirror and extra-deep drawers. The set is satinwood, walnut, and olive ash burl. It came into us with a few tiny pieces of carving missing, some nicks and dings, so we quickly sent it to the shop because of the quality and the guys redid the set in the restoration shop. We repaired the missing carving, scuffed, sanded and re-stained the case pieces, and completely re-sprayed the entire set, and it now looks almost as nice as the first day it came out of the factory. In person, it's just gorgeous. It has a rich honey-amber tint to the stain, which is beautiful with the satinwood grain and the walnut trim and the olive ash burl. All we did was quickly hand brush the original French Victorian solid carved brass hardware, which looks fantastic with the patina of the entire set.
