Originally purchased in 1936 by my family from a small Cincinnati. Ohio furniture manufacturer in the now historic"Over-the-Rhine" neighborhood. I believe it is an example of the Arts& Crafts period(Rebellion against Victorian Industrialism. Objects that appear to be made by hand are in again) This 4 piece restored antique. Solid walnut, double(AKA full) size bedroom set is for sale from a smoke free, very clean home in West Chester, Ohio 45069 in the Wetherington Golf and Country Club community near Tylersville and I-75. This furniture has been stored disassembled for the past 7 years. It is very heavy, solid walnut furniture. Even the back sides are solid wood with tongue and groove joints providing finished detail suitable for viewing(great for an open room layout) The set includes a headboard and footboard with hand carved ... moredetails(front and rear) Solid rails, plus 2 bedside nightstands and a chest of drawers. The entire set was professionally restored by Haas Distinctive Woodworks in 2007 before being put away(it has not been used since the restoration) There remain some signs of age here and there, but overall it is in great condition. In nouveau ... morestyle, a most unusual color wood, and it comes with two oversized twin beds that can be made into a king size bed if desired, an extra large triple beveled glass vanity, a five-drawer tall swell front extra large beveled glass gentleman’s chest, and an oversized four-drawer bow front chest with the largest beveled glass mirror you’ve seen in a long time. The wood looks like mahogany, in a light brown finish, and is all original except for the tops of the three case pieces, which we re-sprayed. The whole bed has gold carvings on it, accented, and every piece of the set has gold edging highlighted on all the grooves, moldings, crests, and carvings, right down to the flute style finials. The set is just of unbelievable quality, with everything extra large, well built, and the best that was offered at the time. The cast brass hardware is thick and bold, the escutcheons are amazing, and on the entire set, there are two replacement bales. The back plates are still original, and no one will ever notice. There have been a few touch ups here and there, and there are age marks, nicks and dings, but nothing serious, but showing that the set is from the 1880s or‘90s.

You are buying this beautiful. Antique Widdicomb bedroom set. It consists of four pieces. I believe the style is French Provincial and I believe the wood is walnut. All the pieces have beautiful, exquisite and intricately detailed carving done. They are all in great shape except for a few scuffs, scrapes and scratches. Before buying, I can send you detailed pictures of the wear that I could not fit into the listing. The set consists of a beautiful four drawer dresser, an amazing desk with mirror, a bed and a little stool or bench. The dresser has amazing graining. It stands 46 inches tall, 38 inches wide and 21 inches deep. The desk also has gorgeous wood and measures 51 inches long, 19 inches deep and 30 1/2 inches tall. The mirror adds 36 inches to the height of the desk. The stool or bench measures 18 inches in height, 22 inches in length ... moreand 13 inches in width. The bed comes with a footboard, headboard and two rails as well as the metal rails. The wooden rails have wear on them but they are not meant to be seen. This is a 1930-1940 Art Deco bedroom set that I recently acquired. It consist of the dresser and mirror(vaneer on back side of mirror is peeling- see picture& mirror glass itself just needs a cleaning) Bureau, full size head board and foot board. It does have bed side rails but the vaneer is peeled badly so I did not bother taking a photo.They fit perfectly with the head& foot boards and I assume any bedding would cover these rails or you can peel off the remaining vaneer and paint them.All of these pieces are on small casters/wheels. There are some snall nicks and also some surface blemishes from usage and age(see pictures) The dovetail jointed drawers work nicely, the units themselves are sturdy and solid. Foot board, hardwood side rails and slats, a tall four drawer chest and a vanity with mirror. The bed frame is approximately 36 inches tall, 56 inches wide and 80 inches long. The chest has four drawers and is approximately 48 inches tall, 17 inches deep and 32 inches wide. The dresser/vanity is 36 inches tall, 17 inches deep and 44 inches wide. The mirror is aproximately 32 inches wide by 34 inches tall. It has a medium brown wood finish(I believe walnut) that goes with any decor. The bed foot board, the chest, and the dresser all have a really nice raised check detail which shows off the craftsmanship of the set. This is a real beauty like nothing I have ever seen. The wood is in extremely good condition no bad spots on the outside considering it is over a hundred years old. Everything works good no stains. No real issues except maybe the mirrors are a little foggy and some of the back panel is missing on the dresser which is not a big deal. Antique French Bamboo Wooden Mirror 1800's This old mirror might have seen the face of Vincent Van Gogh as it came from his village of Arles in Provence. It is not silvered but rather coated in Mercury as they were known to do back in the day. It is worn and has lost some of it's coating leaving cloudy spots. It is however authentique and old so we can forgive the"rides" or wrinkles of age n'est-ce pas? It was made to resemble bamboo with the wood having been turned and pieced together with knob and mortise fixings at the corners. There are finials of wooden spools that accent the tips and there is an old original rusted chain that was designed to hold it on a nail longways. The backing is original sheet of cardboard. There are small worm holes in the trim around this cardboard but not in the wood designed to look like ... morebamboo that frames the mirror. It measures 14" by 12" wide by the outer frame and the mirror itself within measures 9" by 6" wide. If beauty can be measured by the visions she held in the past. she is radiantly beautiful to behold today. Picked them up at an estate sale where the estate owners took fantastic care of their possessions. I don't kn ow the scale. All i can give is the size of the items. 1) The Bed is 5" x 6-1/4" x 4-3/ 4" T all at the headboard, mattress. Comforter and pillows all are hand stitched material. 2) The Dresser with the mirror is 3-3/4" x 1-7/8" x 6" Tall, the mirror no longer shows your reflection and the middle drawer is missing both knobs. 3) 2nd dresser with the scroll back board is 3-1/4" x 1-7/8" x 3-3/4" tall. 4) 3rd small dresser that looks like its missing its mirror is 2-1/2" x 1-3/8" x 3-1/2" tall. 5) Brass Lamp ... moreis 1-3/8" diameter x 3" Tall. Marked"Made in England" and numbered. Best i can tell it is 756156. 6) Rocking Chair is 3-3/4" deep x 2-1/4" at the widest x 4" Tall. Antique 1920's Bedroom Set W/ Bed, Mattress, Quilt, Vanity, and Mirror
I have had this set for a long long time. I moved to a smaller home and no longer need it. Its from the 1920's its Mahogany and has decorative flowers on the front of bed. And vanity, and it is the whole bed on wooden rollers, frame, nice mattress full size name brand more of a firm mattress with box springs, comes with white quilt thats beautiful and 2 matching pillows, also 2 more white shams I will throw in(some are shown in the photos) The mattress is a Serta perfect sleeper beautiful shape hardly slept on. Nice! It also comes with matching vanity and mirror with pull out large drawer inside the drawer are wood dividers. The vanity has some scratches and surface scuffs on the top from things being sat on it, this piece hasn't been touched, since I have owned it for 20 years. The seat that matches it has a cushion to sit on in ... morefront of the vanity. There are scratches on the piece but nothing too major its old. The mirror has been taken off, and the screws are missing for the mirror the side pieces that hold it on are lose, so I removed the mirror it can be put back on it is missing a hook almost like a hinge(a metal rectangular piece) to attach it on(I lost it in a move somehow but it can be fixed, it still looks great even with the mirror detached) but for now the mirror is detached, the mirror glass is not broken or cracked it shows discoloration in some parts. The Bed frame is nice. It is sturdy you can sleep in this bed comfortably. There are scratches on these pieces it is old. Thanks for looking. This is a beautifil antique print is over 100 years old. It depicts a little girl in the field talking to a cute cow calf. The print is is on thick paper with delicate tones and hues. It is a chromolith from a high quality children's book published circa 1890. There is a poem/drawing on the back. But it does not show through the thick paper. The page has some yellowing. There are smudges and marks in the margins. But the picture area looks good(see scan) The page is approx. 7.25 x 9.25 inches and the actual image size(without margins) is approx. 5x7 inches. This is NOT a recent copy or modern reproduction. But a GENUINE item from that era. It would look wonderful framed in a home. Office or child's room.
