I am only giving it up as I have inherited a family bedroom suite and need the room. Beautiful brass ornate pulls(all there) Glass tops are on dresser and nite stands as well as vanity all there. Dresser is 50 inches wide and has mirror 46 inches wide small thin piece of trim on front of dresser is missing but is easily replaced Armoire is 37 inches wide and 79 inches tall the original key is still with it The armoire door is not latching but would be easy to fix. I show a picture of the inside of the armoire, there is a rod inside of armoire with a small drawer. The vanity is 42 inches wide with matching ornate mirror and drawer. The 2 nightstands both have a door that opens for storage they are 22" wide. The bed head board is adorned with flowers has a small area of paint missing. Bed is 67 inches across and 58 inches tall. It would easily accommodate a 3/4 full or queen mattress. There is not a footboard or side rails it was not made for them. Original carved rails fit a standard modern full size spring or mattress(20" thick together) snugly as shown. Wooden slats to support bedding are included with this lovely furniture. The original finish is very well preserved. Newly waxed and buffed. It needs only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth to maintain its antique patina. Antique French walnut ciel de lit, bed canopy frame. Ideal chic towel rail c1880
This is an antique French walnut bed canopy. Measuring approx 18" wide x 7" tall x 6" deep it is in very good. Strong original condition. Made from walnut it has gorgeous wood grain detail and the sort of patina that only comes from age and honest use. It has a natural wood knot fault on the backing bracket but no visible worm holes. It has a recessed screw thread hole for fitting to the ceiling for hanging drapes from but these are more often used as chic unique towel rails. Off white pure cotton hand knitted antique bed cover with crochet edging. Measures about 60" x 62" and crochet edging is about 6" deep. Knitted with extremely fine stitches so it's very hard wearing. Some of the crochet needs to be stitched back in place(easily done) and there is a little"bite" See photo 9. There are a few tiny rust spots. Easily removed with rust remover. Apart from these minor signs of age this cover is in excellent condition and has years of life ahead being so tightly knitted with such good quality cotton. This is a Pair of Antique Beds. All wood, believed carved, And hand painted with florals. As shown. Here's what I know for sure, These were carried from Wyoming to Oregon. Where they are located now. I don't know how they got to Wyoming. Maybe by wagon train( These beds are not damaged. And not dirty. They are just mighty aged. And have not been restored. So, authentic chic'n shabby, as shown. My intention. Was to strip and refinish. But that didn't happen. I kept these beds on hand for extra guests. Each has 2" wide Steel'L' shape brackets to hold a platform. And I just added a 3/4" thick strand board from Home Depot. Cut short for ease to 32" x 72" And these hold a ton. No prob. These beds come apart. 4 pieces each, and are easy to assemble by hand. I do not know that these size beds are called ... moretwin. I believe that they. Are a little longer and a bit narrower. These were made using Thick Wood. The Side Rails are 1.5" thick. And the footboards and headboards are 1.25" thick. Here are the measurements: The Headboard height is 47.75" 48" in height at the Center. The Footboard height is 32" from the ground to the top at the center. The Widths of these beds. The headboards and footboards, is 39" The Width at the center. From and including rail to rail, is about 36" These rails are 78" in length. And the total length of these beds is 81.5" Measurements are approximate but as accurate as possible. These white ground fabrics are quite difficult to photograph well! ~*~ ~ this textile is an antique French bed curtain panel dating c 1880 ~This wonderful curtain panel would have surrounded a very large, French bed in the late 19th century~~ the gorgeous fabric was block printed using hand carved wooden blocks ~ ~ this wonderful panel is a very finely woven, linen and cotton mix ~ stunning antique white ground with muted golden caramel, ruddy deep red and charcoal black/ brown ~ The top of this panel tis 100% hand stitched and gathered for hanging with a lovely linen tape at the back~ ~*~ the bottom has a beautiful hand stitched hem. The lace edging this fine coverlet is hand crocheted and gives a wonderful finish. It is extraordinarily unusual for the lace to go around a coverlet on all four sides.usually the top edge is left plain. This beautiful coverlet is in excellent antique condition with no stains. Or a more upmarket'manoir' style. The fabric is really heavily padded. And stands out well from the wooden frame, then finished off with a nail border rather than a fabric trim. Quality upholstery craftmanship. The inside of the footboard is also up holstered in the same fabric. The wood has been painted white. Which is just very slightly distressed- this is not a shabby chic piece! This is a double. Full, or 4 foot 6 inch bed, and a normal square ended double mattress will fit, leaving a small gap at the bottom where the footboard is curved, which I always use to tuck down the covers into. A memory foam type mattress would fill in this gap as it is easier to squash into the shape; alternatively a custom made mattress with a curved bottom end could be bought. Heavy. I believe this to be from the late 1800s to early 1900s. I never used it as a bed. However it was perfect for a little settee or garden planter box. ANTIQUE FRENCH COUNTRY 1920s SHABBY BED FOOTBOARD MAHOGANY WOOD WALL COAT RACK
This is a BEAUTIFUL. Antique, French Art Deco(1920s) full size bed FOOTBOARD which has been reclaimed and repurposed. This lovely repurposed coat or towel rack is Mahogany wood which has been painted and heavily distressed for a chippy, shabby, French Country look. The color is a lovely French blue which has been layered with an over glaze of white to give the footboard a very soft blue finish. The beveled edge trim and the large center medallion have been painted white and also heavily distressed. The legs are still attached for added interest. There are three double coat/towel hangers attached to the lower section of the footboard. These are in an antiqued brass finish with a little silver tone in them as well. This is a gorgeous and large wall piece which is as functional as it is beautiful. It is a lovely hallway, entryway accent or wood ... morebe perfect in the utility or mud room. There are 2 wall hanging brackets on the back of the footboard so it is ready for hanging. The footboard is an antique full size footboard. It measures 46.5" long/wide and 32.4" tall.
