This is a ... morevery unique full size bed with rounded edges and very nice rosette and scrollwork castings supporting the curved tubes and straight rods. The rails are marked IDEAL. The bed is pretty sturdy and the hitches fit nice and tight. All you see is what is included. There are no supportive slats. The bed measures roughly 54 inches wide and 80 inches long. The frame size is about 54x76 inches(mattress space) The headboard is about 6.4 inches tall and the footboard is about 40 inches tall. The paint is chipped all over which gives it a great look. But if it is going in a childs room, we would recommend sandblasting, priming and painting the entire bed. This would be a great preventative measure to guard againt rust and further deterioration. There is some rust and wear. It is very old. We are offering this for preferred local pick up. But if you want it shipped, you can get your own quote through U-ship or another company. Altogether, the weight might be around 150 lbs. If you are using a blanket shipper, it may not need to be wrapped. If it does have to be wrapped in cardboard, we have a charge of $50 handling. Cast/Wrought Iron Double/Full bed frame $300 An antique turn-of-the-previous century cast iron bed frame in perfect condition. Original length was 70" but a welder extended the rails to 75" so that a standard full-size(54" x 75" mattress fits in it. Have just sanded and buffed the entire frame. Then sprayed with primer followed by metallic silver. If you want a different color you can easily paint over it but it looks beautiful in silver.

This is a very beautiful and genuine antique late 1800's folding cast iron bed. It has been shortened to be used as a loveseat or settee. The original middle joint has been replaced with a fixed leg so it does not fold in the middle. I believe the mesh wire on the end is also not original. It measures approx 56" long, 32" high, 30.5" wide and the seat is about 16.5" high. It has been reupholstered in a very nice silk fabric with mattress and separate underlayment(like a thin boxspring) also upholstered in the same fabric along with two bolsters. All in excellent clean condition. The frame has been repainted and the paint is excellent, one folding latch has been replaced and there is an older repair plate that was done professionally where one leg was broken, it is sturdy and strong. Antique Cast Iron Side Board Brackets Headboard Bed Rail Hooks Hardware Bedfasts
Antique. Cast iron, side board hardware for antique headboards. These are believed to be a universal type bracket that join to many of the oldest headboard brackets. These are designed to drop in and then lock in by size tapering. The"hooks" or"tabs" are approximately 2 9/16" from center to center and they are about 3 1/8 from outside of tab to outside of tab. This could be very confusing.if you measure your existing bracket from top of"notch" the two places where the side board bracket fits into) to top of"notch" that will be"on center" If yours measures somewhere in the 2 3/4 range these should work. This is a very sweet child-sized Victorian iron bed.old chippy paint and old brass. It has a wire mesh platform meant to hold up a feather tick. And here's the best part. it has the side pieces. Unusual to find a bed like this. In a smaller size. This bed would be perfect to display quilts, or maybe antique dolls. Condition is good with the exception of two things that I see.the mesh platform frame is a little off square(easy to fix) and the brass balls on the foot board are dented at the top. Note: I have used this bed for 11 years with a full sized box spring and mattress; the mattress just sits off the sides a few inches. Up for sale here is a very nice pair of antique 19th Century French Country figural cherub cast iron beds(Headboards and footboards only. NO rails or finials) The tops are cherubs. The middle panels are sheet steel. The panels appear to have been originally painted with a pattern. They present much better than my amateur photos. No rails or finials. One footboard top was cracked. But has been brazed(welded) back together. They have some rust. Panels have a hole or two near the bottoms. These are extremely rare beds. They would look great hanging on a wall, as garden gates, or repurposed as signs for your shop. Of course you could have some rail built and use them as they were originally intended. The connecting pieces are made of Cast Iron. The decorative pieces that connect the smaller tubes are made of cast iron. The side rails have a tapered slot that holds them in place tightly. antique DECO-Biedermeier baby bed with cast iron lining
The reason I am selling this is because I am moving. It was my mothers' baby bed that in the years she changed lining it in cast iron in this lovely pcs where she would put her orchids in the living room. It's an original Biedermeier. Was since my birth in Switzerland in our home in StMoritz. Now I have it in my place in NYC and really want someone who appreciates it to have it. I prefer to sell it in NYC so its easier to move.
