We have up for sale a nice old German shelf clock. Has been running in our house. There is no glass on face. There is paint scuffs on case and looks like the little knob on top of case has been reglued. On back of case there is a label saying Teutonia Clock Manufactory. Under trademark shows Made in Baden. Under that is the word Warranted, then P.H.S, then it is numbered(can make out only 351) The P.H.S stands for Phillip Haas& Sohn. There is another label at the top on back of case saying(name) Jeweler and Silversmith established(unreadable) then Hemel Hemstead. There is small damage to the wood on case where this label is(as shown in pic) On the movement there is a mark with P.H.S with a rabbit above it. Comes with pendulum and key. Classic Art Nouveau New Haven U.S.A. Gilt Mantle Shelf Clock Cupid Cherub Finial
From a local estate. This wonderfully ornate mantle clock was manufactured in the early part of the century by the New Haven Clock Company in New Haven, CT. The clock stands approximately 10 1/2" tall with a 4 1/2" base. In the Art Nouveau style that was popular at the time, the heavy metal gilt case features a highly detailed design with a cherub or cupid holding a laurel wreath finial. The clock itself has a glass covering over the white face, which has some light brown stains(see photos) It does tick when wound and seems to keep time. Overall, the piece is in good used condition, but we are hesitant to keep winding it, to see if it keeps good time, so we are selling it"as is" One of the 4 screw heads that holds the clock in place is missing, so it is a bit loose. Antique wall Clock French original 1800-1900 French Country w/ orig. shelf
This beautiful vintage wall clock is French Country in style. The green and gold tones with pink flowers have a wonderful patina. The is some very minor cracking in the wood due to the age and the way it was made. This is where the wood was glued together before it was carved. This is a wall clock meant to sit on the matching original shelf but could stand alone on a mantle. The works are marked Unghans with a large letter J inside of a star as shown in one of the photos. The clock while sitting on the shelf is 35" high x 19 1/2" wide. It does work and dongs on the hours and on the half hours. I can't find much information on this so if anyone has any info I would appreciate if you would share. There is a round stamp on the back but I am unable to make it out. Posted with

There are no chips or cracks. There is light crazing throughout as usual for these. It measures 12" tall. 12 1/2" wide by 5" deep. BEAUTIFUL DIAL with green and what appears to be original hands. The pendulum appears to be original also. This is a recent estate find and it does not run for more than a few minutes. Will definitely need cleaning. They had a universal key at the auction and wound it a little to show it works, but the key was theirs and they needed it to test future items that did not have one. Movement is smooth. 19th century. Black enamel painted cast iron body, Ansonia shelf clock. Ormolu details with flame finial on top. 8-day, spring-driven brass movement. Partially replaced( numerical face. Glass and bezel original. Chimes on the hour with the number of hours and once on the half-hour. Fine working condition, keeps good time. Brass coloring worn on ormolu mounts. Right shoulder ormolu mount a little loose but does not come off. Minor enamel wear above the shoulders on both sides(see photos) On the movement frame it says: Ansonia Clock Co. USA, New York, Patented June 18, 1882. 13 1/2” high, 7 1/2” wide, 4 1/2” deep. 5” diameter bezel.

18th C Austrian Bracket/Shelf/Mantle Clock, 8 D. Triple Chain Fusee, by J Gratzl
This is an operating late 18th C Austrian bracket/shelf/mantle clock made by Johann Georg Gratzl of Vienna. Austria. It measures 20.5"H, 13.5"W, and 7.5"D. It has a softwood case(possibly fruitwood or pine) with the original faux red wood and gold paint finish. There are cracks in the case sides, and there has been professional repair to the interior trim. The paint is appropriately worn for a clock more than 200 years old(please see the pictures) The case has an inverted bell top form with rectangular door and tombstone dial. It has cast brass flame finials and brass bun feet. The front and back doors lock, and the key is included. I see no evidence that this clock had a top handle, and given the clock's size and visible movement, I believe it was made to sit on a large mantle with a mirror behind it. The dial is brass ... morewith silvered chapter. Date, month(astrological signs in red) and strike/silent rings. The maker's name is engraved at the bottom of the chapter ring. The movement is a brass 8 day triple chain fusee which rings 1-4 times at the 1/4 hours and chimes the hours at the hour. There are signs of professional maintenance and repair to the clockworks, however, the clock retains the original crown wheel escapement. The silence feature for the 1/4 hour rings is operational but the hourly chimes silencing is not. The clock's works are in need of maintenance including lubrication or replacement of the springs, possibly some bushings, and cleaning. However, as it is, I have found the clock to keep accurate time over a period of 4 days without winding(however, this is not guaranteed) The movement includes a bejeweled false pendulum made from clear/blue glass or crystal. I am selling a Antique 1930's? SESSIONS Art Deco Figural Nude Maiden Woman Electric Shelf Clock as seen in the photos below. Clock comes exactly as shown. The cord is dry and brittle as shown so I have not tested it. So the working condition is unknown. The base is solid wood, the female figure is made of some type of metal with a gold finish. The clock is mounted inside a circular piece of wood as shown. It is made by Sessions, not sure when it was made but by the style I'm guessing the mid to late 1930's. This dates the clock between 1894 and 1902. The case is made of sterling silver and has a wonderful design. It stands 12.5 cm or 5 inches and weighs 730 grams unpacked. It is in good cosmetic condition but is not working. At a scrap value for silver of $0.64 per gram this has a scrap value of $467.00. No attempt has been made to polish the item as some collectors prefer the aged look while others prefer to do their own restoration. Up for auction is a nice vintage Telechron"Trenton" mantle clock model 336. Dates to circa 1920s- 1930s. Mahogany finish with a lighter carved motif. Gold tone dial. Serial number 258568 B. In very good vintage condition with some age to the wood, a couple of tiny dings to the wood on the left side bottom. Works great. Please see photos carefully for details. The clock's rosewood casing is in excellent sturdy condition. Only flaws being minor wear along the bottom, and two small chip on the veneer. On the bottom left side. Both of the glass windows are in excellent shape as well, and the bottom one still has is gorgeous design in tact(it may have been redone at some point in its life) The face of the clock has some moderate wear on it, but is still very legible. Column-and-Cornice Shelf Clock by Birge. Mallory& Co. Bristol, Connecticut, c. 1838 A classic column-and-cornice shelf clock by Birge. Mallory& Co. Bristol, Connecticut. I acquired the clock at the NAWCC 2009 National Convention in Grand Rapids, Michigan. At that time it was missing all four of its ball feet, the lunette mirror in the dial was gone, and the églomisé(or reverse paintings) in the middle and lower glasses were in a sad state. But with its original dial, glasses and otherwise good state of preservation, it had major potential, so I brought it home with me. I had a new mirror cut for the dial, had the movement cleaned, rebushed and oiled, sent the doors off to be redecorated by an expert églomisé artist in Ohio, and had four solid mahogany ball feet made by an antique furniture conservator in Pennsylvania(exact ... morecopies of originals) The movement is of eight-day duration and is original to the case. Its construction is strap brass, which is to say straps of brass riveted together at intersection points. Made by Birge, Mallory& Co. it employs Joseph Ives's patent rolling pinions and strike arrangement. There is a very well preserved original label inside the case, pasted to the backboard. The Empire-style case is constructed of mahogany veneers laid onto a pine carcass; there are very few repairs to the veneer and only the most miniscule of veneer loss, both consistent with the clock's age. This is a very fine example of its genre and certainly one of the nicest examples on the market today. It is in good running order and is ready to set up and enjoy. This is a very nice representation of American clockmaking history that has received a number of compliments. I almost hate to part with it but it’s time to move on to something else. This is a wonderful Waterbury mantel clock. I just had it service it works great keep time well and the chimes are beautiful. However. Because I will be shipping this item it may need to be adjusted. Formed March 5. 1857, as a joint stock corporation, the Waterbury Clock Company from its inception was an operation designed to be a major user of brass produced by the parent firm, the Benedict& Burnham Manufacturing Company. Utilizing the best talent available to them, they hired veteran clockmaker Chauncey Jerome to set up the new firm’s casemaking shop and his brother Noble Jerome, a well-known clock mechanic, to set up the movement manufacturing operation. Seth Thomas Classical Federal Mahogany and Eglomise Clock. C. 1820, double weight, chiming bell movement made by Eli Terry for Seth Thomas, Plymouth, C.T. with painted wood dial, beautiful stencil eagle on top, reverse painted fruit basket at bottom door. Height 34 in. width 17 1/2 in. depth 4 1/4 in. Does not work but all parts are there with weights and key. There is a hairline crack in frame corner, see picture 7, and small side top molding missing, see picture 8. These do not detract from beauty of clock, it displays very nicely.

On the bottom below there is an under the glaze blue number as seen on other Royal Bonn clocks. I couldn't find the Royal Bonn name. But I could not see the inside well. The brass back cover is missing a nail. So it will not stay on. Not a big deal, just thought would mention it. the back cover& key is not pictured) Comes with pendulum and a key. The key is not the original. But antique and works well. We had a horologist take a look at the clock and he said it will work fine. He did not clean and service it for us. Our shop has a problem with our floor, it is not even. In order for a clock to work, it needs to be on an even surface. As a result, the clock starts to work, then stops. Up for auction this week is this ANTIQUE CAST IRON AMERICAN-MADE SHELF OR MANTLE CLOCK. It measures about 10 1/2" tall by 8 3/4" at the base. There are patent dates on the back from the early 1900's and"Made In U.S.A. But no makers name. The mainspring feels broken, as the winding stem turns too easily. Dating from the 1880s or‘90s. This clock is unique and beautiful, and would make a great addition to your mantelpiece. It’s a French Victorian ... moreage deco style clock that has a spelter casting on top of two cupids embracing each other. I call it deco, although it’s really not, because of the dome shaped rose quartz and gray marble case with a porcelain face. The paint is in pretty good condition. On the back is a partial brand name on the works, Medaille” and there is no key or pendulum. The springs may be in good condition, although we won’t guarantee them. They aren’t crimped down, and if I get a key I will double check it. The case itself is worth the price. It’s all marble, with rose quartz, gray marble, all laminated in seams and groups, and of course the statue on top. It has a beveled glass bezel and the porcelain face is all good and intact. It’s in really nice condition, except that I can’t guarantee the works. The overall size is 16 inches across the base, 4.5 inches deep, and 8.5 inches to the top of the clock, and 15 inches to the top of the statue. The actual height to the top of the statue is 7 inches, and the statue wraps around to measure about 12 inches wide. The little cupid in the front is about 8 inches long, and the one in the back has wings that you can see. The statue its

Up for auction is a beautiful case no matter what movement you slide in here! This piece(mind you I am NOT an expert) has a very European look. So I am guessing French. Please take a second(or 20) to look at the designs/patterns and come to your own conclusion. There are 2 stamps inside across from each other. Both markings are the same, it almost looks like a cup or Paul with an S on it. Other than that I have not a clue. But it is beautiful. And it is HEAVY!
