Map 2 is mimeographed with a map on the cover and a"pocket guide" or directory inside. It was put out by the Black Hills advertising service, Custer, S.D. Map 3 is an official map of the black hills put out by the associated Commercial Clubs of the Black hills. It folds out to an impressive map with gread photo illustrated ads around its border. It was published in 1925 and measures about 18 1/2" x 21 1/2" It covers the area of 4 USGS 30-minute(1:125.000 scale)quadrangles, Deadwood, Harney Peak, Hermosa and Rapid. The folio includes 34 pages of text describing the geology of the Black Hills. 7 topographic and geologic maps, and 3 pages of black& white photos. Three of the maps are fold-outs that measure about 30" x 40" when unfolded. The other 4 maps are individual quadrangles that are not folded.
