1911 Topographical Map Glacier National Park Folding Map in Book Style Folio This outstanding map is from the United States Geological Survey. It is the Aug 1911 printing from surveys in 1900- 1904 and 1907- 1910. It is contained within a maroon 5.25" x 8" hardcover book folio with gold titling. It is mounted on linen and folds out to a size of 30" x 32.5" It shows park boundaries. The Great Northern Railroad, and all of the usual topographic features. We know that the former owner of the map visited Glacier in 1914. We suspect he used this map during that trip and it was placed on a bookshelf and never used again. As a result. The condition is quite nice. The covers are immaculate and look practically new. The colors on the map are bright and clear. There are two small tears on the folds(both shown) No other tears, no ... morerips, no stains. There are a few circles and some stray pencil marks on the map and a name written on the linen(also shown) A very special and hard to find item.
