Photos and fold out color topographical maps of the following Minnesota counties: Roseau, Eastern Kittson, Eastern Marshall, Southern Clearwater, Beltrami, Wadena, Hubbard, Cass, Aitkin, Northern Crow Wing, Itasca and St. Louis. This hardcover book measures 10" x 12.5" The book has some minor condition issues. The front and back covers are starting to detach from book, see photos. The pages are also yellowed due to age. Hearne Brothers Wall Map - Vintage St. Paul & Ramsey County, MN
Vintage 45" x 63" laminated canvas Hearne Brothers projection wall map of greater Saint Paul and vicinity. MN, including all of Ramsey County. Scale: 5" per 1.75 miles. Weight: 3.5 lbs. Without a printed published date, I'd guess it to be circa 1950's or prior, considering the depicted undevelopment of the northeastern suburbs, etc. Acceptably good vintage condition, but imperfect, with wrinkles and some edge wear and cellophane delamination evident. Map is attached at top to a 1.25" wooden window shade dowel with a polished chrome bar along the bottom. Easy access street index printed on reverse side.

Nelson Company of Fergus Falls. MN Condition of the cover: there are white marks near the top left of the cover and darker marks in the middle bottom of the cover. Right-side corners are dog-eared, and the corners on the left have slightly begun to come apart from the spiral binding. Interior condition: I am assuming that there would have been a title page. But this starts with page 1. There is some handwriting on several pages of the maps. Several of the pages are bent in the corners and starting to detach from the binding. Content on pages are very readable. Here is pretty unique and interesting vintage 1941 map which is about 21 X 17 7/8 inches. This focuses on Wright County but does show surrounding counties like McLeod. Carver, Hennepin, Meeker, Stearns, and Sherburn. This has some wear and discoloring which I discuss above. I also see Buffalo Lake, Maple Lake, St. Michaels. 1921 Olmsted County MN Minnesota Atlas Plat Book Maps Rochester Land Owners
This is a Plat Book of Olmsted County MN from 1921. The date is hand-written in the book(pic 3) And in looking through the book I see how the date was determined. Picture 5 shows an ad for The First National Bank of Rochester. The ad verbiage notes the year the bank was chartered(1864) then say they have been in business 51 years. That equals 1921. The maps shows rivers. Railroads, land owners and acreage, and many interesting details. The Olmsted County Poor Farm was on 163 acres in Rochester Township. I see property owned by the Mayo family(Mayo Clinic founders) also in Rochester Township. There are 18 townships in Olmsted County. And there are 18 individual township maps. The book is complete. The book has many interesting ads from Rochester and area businesses. If you are a Rochester historian. Or live in Olmsted County, you will spend ... morehours looking at these!
