On the back is a metal ... moreplate with"Tyni Switch" on it and I assume is the model name. Also stamped in the black chassis is The Sessions Clock Co. Forestville, Conn, and in another area 60 cycles. Clock motor 25 watt, and 110V AC. There are three wires for connecting the clock's electrical motor to a power source. One black, yellow and red wire. The clock is all metal with a round glass face plate. The brass edging is not real brass, but brass-plating. The four knobs are plastic. The face of the clock has a total of seven different colors used for the graphics. It is roughly 3 1/2 inches in diameter. About 3" deep, and weights about a pound. It looks like it belongs on the polished burl-wood dashboard of a 1949 Cadillac. The face-plate is in almost perfect condition. The scratches in the photos on the gold rim are from light reflecting off the brass plating. But there are very minute scratches from cleaning and polishing. But you only see them when the light hits them just right. They look like ones in a car's polished finish, which even a soft cloth can cause. You only see them in the right light. Three of the four control knobs are working. And you pull them out to engage the gears. Only the knob for the sleep setting is frozen and not working. The knob for the alarm is a little stiff and you have to wiggle it as you pull it out to engage the gears. We should assume the clock is not working. And is being sold as non-working. It's a really cool looking clock. With great colors, straight out the late 1940s early 1950s. I do not know the exact date of manufacture and its only a"best guess" on my part. But from the quality of the metal parts used in the construction, and the real glass face-plate, its a very nice clock, worth repairing or re-building. Antique Sessions Mantel Clock This is a great example of a Sessions 8-day Mantle Clock. It was made circa 1908. It is in GREAT condition. The clock has all of its original parts. Movement, case, rear door, etc. The movement works great! It has a signed"Sessions Clock Co" 8 day time and strike movement(see picture) which chimes on a bell once on the half-hour and on the hour it counts the hours with a very mellow tone on a cathedral gong. It has a solid mahogany wood case with colored inlayed wood design on the front faded by over 100 years, but still can be seen(see pictures) Its model name is the"Plymouth" The movement runs very well and keeps good time. The case is in very good condition. Very few blemishes at all. see picture) The mahogony case is made with a simple but beautiful classic design with a finish that has ... morea beautiful aged patina. All the screw holes in the back line up perfectly indicating all parts are original. Even the original back! The hands are also original! The cream tinted porcelain dial is signed Sessions and the original bezel is solid brass! The numbers and lettering are very crisp and not worn at all. Also. The dial is easy to read even from a distance. There are age hairline cracks in the porcelain that really looks antique. The original paper label is still on the inside of the back door. The back door is also original and fits nicely. The dial has a special place where you can set the time to slow and fast using the key– at the number 12(see picture) This way you don’t need to take the clock down off the mantle in order to make fine adjustments to the movement as to slow and fast. Complete with a Sessions pendulum(maybe original) and a double-ended key– one side to wind the clock and the other to adjust the speed. Vintage 40s Electric Mantel Clock Sessions Cast Metal Western Horse Cowboy Theme
Lovely estate find! This offering is for a ca. 1940's Sessions movement carnival clock with a western cowboy flair of saddled horse figure. Wagon wheels and twisted rope. These clocks were prizes or premiums at state fairs and carnivals in the 1940's- cashing in on the popular cowboy culture of Roy Rogers, Hopalong Cassidy, Gene Autry and Lone Ranger. The clock is constructed of cast white metal(magnet does not stick) in nice detail. The horse is saddled with complete western tack including a parade saddle with tapaderoes and a bridle with bead chain reins. The metal is finished in an overall goldtone wash or paint. The clock stands 9 1/2" inches high, is 17 1/2" inches long and is 5 inches wide. There are no cracks, breaks, or chips. The ear tips are intact. The clock does not work though it hums when plugged in like it ... morewants to. The convex glass clock lens is free of any cracks, chips, or breaks. Brass trim ring is in very good condition. The clock face has no issues. It is signed near the bottom of the face" Clock Movement by Sessions, Made in the USA. The back cover of the clock does have light finish wear from age and use. The glass front face has been removed and I know the clock's mainspring needs to be replaced/ fixed as is has been overwound. The clock does not run. The case is in good shape and the bottom door has it's original glass. The clock comes with the pendulum bob and key. The face of the clock is a little dirty, but is original. The cord is dry and brittle as shown so I have not tested it. So the working condition is unknown. The base is solid wood, the female figure is made of some type of metal with a gold finish. The clock is mounted inside a circular piece of wood as shown. It is made by Sessions, not sure when it was made but by the style I'm guessing the mid to late 1930's. Vintage/Antique Sessions Marble Art Deco Electric Mantle/Table Clock- Works! Up for bids is a Vintage/Antique Sessions Marble Art Deco Electric Mantle/Table Clock. This Clock is made by Sessions and is marked Model"W" In back. The clock is Gorgeous! It features a 10"x 3" x 1" thick marble base and a 7" diameter(3/4" thick) marble disc around the clock works. There are 2 round ball marble pieces on both sides of the clock. The balls are about 1.5" in diameter. The white marble has some reddish brown streaks. The base has a felt backing to protect the surface of the mantle. The clock face is metal gray with gold tone numbers. Black hands, and a red sweep second hand. The clock housing case is also gold tone. This clock is very heavy and has an electric cord in the back. The condition of the clock is near ... moreperfect! There is one very small chip in the back of the clock at about 1:30. It has a 5" diameter celluloid face with a hinged glass cover to allow for ease of winding. There is a green wreath around the inside of the numbers, and it has elongated spade type hands. The eagle head on the top has been broken off. The lower glass has a red building with"Ye Upholsterer Betsy Ross" There are four people at the door.the woman is holding an American flag. The key is included. As I am typing this. I'm waiting to see if the chimes work. The pendulum is going back and forth, ticking and tocking. Both hands are moving fine. There is a hand written receipt that came with the clock. I have no idea what date the receipt is from. But it looks like it had an overhaul or cleaning at some point. This little black adamantine Sessions clock has a very clean and well finished wooden case which is great condition for its age. As with many of these old ones this one has had some little restoration but this one seems to look as shiny and bright despite the knocks and bumps commensurate with its age which add character and I couldn't find many and it still looks really great. Apart from two very short hairline cracks in the glass the dial looks wonderful and the brass bezel opens and closes well. The other brass embellishments are bright and shiny too. This clock is not only bright it is running well like a Sessions clock and strikes the half hours on a bell and counts out the hours on the hour on the usual resonating cathedral gong. It goes for 8 days or more ... moreafter winding fully and is supplied with key and Sessions pendulum bob. If you have been umming and ahhing about buying a clock. Another beautiful mantle clock I couldn't pass up from a recent estate sale I went to. Unique designs. Love the dark green color columns. The metal deco of a lady holding what looks to be a harp on each side, metal deco on sides and beautiful designs as you will see in the 12 photos uploaded. I was told, and information I have received or have been told in the past has been wrong at times, so PLEASE be your own judge and PLEASE look at all the photos. Someone mentioned it as a"WAGNER" and, I was also told it's a Mozart Circa 1918. It is without the glass over the face. Again, NO glass over the face of the clock. There's crackling on the material of the face/dial, from age and it being in used, antique condition, I assume. On the front of the face at the bottom, MADE BY THE SESSIONS CO. FORESTVILLE CONN. U.S.A. The front ... morehas the metal claw feet on each side. Measuring the widest part, which is the claw feet and where they come out, side to side, again, including the claw feet, approximately 16 1/4 inches. Measuring front to back, including the claw feet, approximately 6 inches. It displays approximately 11 3/4 inches tall. I took pictures of all sides angles, even the inner parts/mechanism. I couldn't get it to run. I really do not know what it needs. I think, and my opinion only, the pendulum is not mounted right because I found another pendulum type piece loose inside. It has the key with it. It strikes a deep sounding cathedral gong to the count of the hour/s and once on a bell for the half hour. I am not a clock expert and do not know exactly what it needs. So hopefully someone that knows about clocks will be able to tell more about it by looking at the photos uploaded. The scales show it weighing 9 pounds and 0.6 ounces. Welcome! This auction is for an OLD/ Vintage Electric Clock. Weighs 5 pounds! Stands 13 3/4" tall. Musical note theme. Clock movement by Sessions. Made in the USA! Also has a temperature guage. I did not plug in due to'age' of the cord and plug in. See pictures for best description. Very good shape, very slight color wear in a few places. The glass clock face had a piece of tape over it with a price tag so has a slight stickly line that needs to be carefully cleaned off to prevent a scratch. AC 110 V. Selling AS IS. For Sale is our 1920 Sessions"1608" Beehive shaped Mantle/ Mantel eight day wind-up clock with key and pendulum. The clock has a soothing Tick-Tock. Single chimes on the hour, and bell chime at the half hour. We refurbished this clock and will provide a 1-year warranty; with our new bushings and synthetic oils, this family treasure will remain operational for many years. This unique Beehive shaped clock has a porcelain face that is in remarkable condition it does have age to it and a minor hairline; looking closely to the face it brings us back to a time long gone when porcelain was used to present a solid appearance vice a metal/paper look. The hands are original and in very good condition. The case is carved oak with hard trim around the base. This clock has solid chimes on the hour and bell chime for the half hour. The hammer ... moreis in wonderful condition and movement cleaned up real well.the brass shows quite well when opening the back door. We did need to install our high quality bushings on the pivot holes that were rounded or ovaled. With the new bushings. The wheels(gears) rotate very smooth; without the gear wobble, the clock operate much more accurately. The"1608" Stands 12" high and is 9" wide across the front. It has a depth of 5" This attractive clock was found at a antique store needing a makeover; we are glad we had the opportunity to work on such a pretty clock. We attached four felt pads to the bottom of the clock to prevent scratching of the mantel. These beautifully restored clocks make super wedding. Up for auction is an antique Sessions temple style mantle or shelf clock in a medium toned wood. This clock is 10 3/4 in. high. 15 1/2 in. wide and 6 1/4 in. deep. The face is marked Made By The Sessions Clock Co. Forestville, Conn. U.S.A. The movement is marked similarly. The pendulum is marked with an S. This attractive looking clock runs and keeps good time. It gongs on the hour and the bell rings on the half hour. There is some light scratching on the center of the glass door. The back door isn't all original and the side handles are missing. The clock is 23 in. high, 15 1/4 in. wide and 4 1/2 in. deep. The back has a pressed bird or gargoyle type head decoration. This clock runs and keeps time. It gongs on the hour and the half hour. ANTIQUE ART DECO SESSIONS 1930s NUDE WOMAN CLOCK WORKS
Shown here is an Antique Art Deco Sessions Figural Mantel Clock. The clock features a nude lady holding a Sessions clock in a wooden frame over her head. The wooden base measures approximately 11” in length. 4” in width, 2” in height, the overall height of the mantel clock is 13” tall and the lovely lady measures approximately 10” in length. The clock is marked on the back‘THE SESSIONS CLOCK CO’ FORESTVILLE, CONN, USA’ MODEL W’ and is in excellent‘As Found’ condition and keeps perfect time. ViNTAGE SCHWEPPES MIXERS WALL CLOCK - USA MADE UNITED CLOCK / SESSIONS - WORKING
Here is a nice Schweppes wall clock. It would go perfect in someone's bar or rec room. The body is solid wood and is in excellent condition. With only a very few small, minor scratches. It measures 19" tall and 14" across. The face is 11 inches diameter. The front displays"SCHWEPPES MIXERS Famous since 1794" in the center of the face and"United Clock Corp. Brooklyn, N. Y. U.S. A" at the bottom of the face. On the back is a tag that says"SESSIONS UNITED A DIVISION OF UNITED METAL GOODS MFG. CO. INC. Brooklyn, N. Y. U.S. A Model# 597" Also stamped on the back is 7-76. Which I believe represents the manufacturing date of July, 1976. The clock keeps good time, and the pendulum swings as designed when the clock is plugged in. A really nice display piece in excellent condition.
