Description Think of how this antique wall clock will look decorating your home or office! Looks like everything is here. brass key. This big clock measures 24.5" tall and 12" across the top of the front. The case is about 4.75" deep. I don't know anything about clocks. This one will run for a minute or so when the pendulum is given a gentle nudge. The clock spring and chime spring are wound tight. You can get the clock fixed or just use it as a decorator piece amid your antiques. It's an eye-catcher. Or salvage the parts here if you're in the clock business. There is a faint"82" stamped on the back, and a sticker that shows the clock was repaired in 1979. I'm listing this for my friend's father, so it's not my personal clock, and I know very little about these. My friend's father had feared he overwound the clock, but it was keeping time and chiming normally once I got it home, so I think it's OK. Antique/Vintage Rare Meiji Black Adamantine Mantel Clock Working well. This unique black and gold mantel clock is not an American model from the turn of the century. Instead it is a MEIJI. Which is a Japanese clock company making clocks before the second world war. See the brand on the movement inside. But it looks like a Waterbury, Seth Thomas or the like. It has a shiny black adamantine case which is great condition for its age. Many of these old ones have thin restored adamantine but this one seems to be as thick and gleaming as it always was. Of course it has knocks and bumps commensurate with its age but they add character and it still looks really great. The decorations of columns and added metal have been gilded with proper gilding paste which has them glowing luxuriously gold. It has a bright clean shiny bezel and convex glass which ... moreopens and closes nice and snugly. This clock is not only classy it works extremely well counting out the hours on the hour and the half hour on its beautiful resonating cathedral gong. The Famous Ansonia"Parisian" Clock with Pendulum and key. Good Condition- Running and Striking Very Well. I don't need to introduce this one. It is so famous. If you missed out on the last"Parisian" listed, here's your second chance. Very sought after and the price is rising all the time. The gorgeous wooden case has been cleaned and oiled to show off the deep rich wooden finish. It seems to have two tones of colour in the wood from a dark blackwood on the top down to the base which is rich deep red. The front glass door has a delightful gold design. Everything else is as you see it too. In good condition indeed for its age. It has been restored somewhat as far as I can see. And what looks like the original Ansonia movement has been cleaned and oiled. That is working very well. Looks great too. It's been a ... morelong way since it came out of the factory in the USA over 100 years ago. You might want to give it some antique wax to make it shine but I prefer the matt smooth look. Zoom in on the HD photos to check it out the normal sort of damage for its age which gives it character. This clock is not only classy it works extremely well with a nice clear single cathedral gong on the half hour and counting out the hours. It is supplied with bullseye pendulum and key. These Ansonia clocks are very reliable running and will go 8 days without winding. Probably the easiest to keep ticking. Standing approx. 60cm in height and 33 cm wide these are big clocks. Large Wooden veneer"OGEE" Shelf Clock with weights. Pendulum and winding key- Running and Striking well. The gorgeous wooden case has a bright veneer in reasonable nick. There are two main damaged spots shown in the photos. The back is a replacement as must be the inside label although it looks for all the world original. But the door is still strong and opens and closes nicely. This one is straight out of the Cowboy movie"High Noon" I reckon. The front glass door has its original picture painting and the dial too is in good nick. Everything else is as you see it too. In good condition indeed for its age. And what looks like the original movement- perfect simplicity- has been cleaned and oiled. That is working very well. Looks great too. It's been a long way since it came out of the factory in the USA over 100 years ... moreago. Zoom in on the HD photos to check it out the normal sort of damage for its age which gives it character. This clock is not only classy it works extremely well with a nice clear single cathedral gong counting out the hours. It is supplied with pendulum and its rope winding key which winds up the two weights over the two cute original little wooden pulleys that sit loosely in the top. These simple OGEE clocks are very reliable running and the clock enthusiast will love watching the poetry of the world's simplest movement as there are no springs. Just the weights which go up and down in compartments inside the clock. Amazing. Standing approx. 67cm in height and 39 cm wide but only 10 cm deep these are big clocks. If you missed out on the last"King" listed here's your second chance. Very sought after and the price is rising all the time. The front glass door obviously has its original classic silver design on the glass showing a nice amount of wear for its age like the finish on the wood giving it desirable character. Everything else is as you see it too. In great condition indeed. The movement has been beautifully cleaned but other than that it hasn't been restored or interfered with as far as I can see so it may need a service soon. Original from the factory over 100 years ago. This auction is for an antique Gingerbread style oak mantel clock. I believe from the 1890's, marked on the face: SETH THOMAS- MANUFACTURED IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA- marked on the interior label: MANUFACTURED BY THE SETH THOMAS CLOCK CO. THOMASTON, CONN. Please see pictures for the label on the back. This classic old clock is still in very good condition overall in my opinion. The clock spring will wind up fine and it will run for 3 to 4 hours before stopping and then a little nudge on the pendulum will start it back up. The chimes will sound when the arms are manually moved around but they do not chime when the clock is running on its own. The chime spring is wound tight and seems stuck. I am fairly certain this clock only needs a little Clean, Lube and Adjustment for full function. There is a little splinter missing on the oak ... moreveneer on the lower right wing and otherwise the clock cabinet is also in very good condition. The label on the back is a little chipped in the middle area and some little pieces seem glued back on. This rare old clock measures 22 1/2" tall, 15" wide and it weighs approx. 6 lbs. 14 oz. with the key and pendulum. No rules. Simply pay and I mail promptly. Waterbury 30 Hour Cottage Clock with Pendulum and Key - Late 1800's
Available for purchase. We have an Antique Waterbury Cottage Clock made by the Waterbury Clock Co. in Waterbury, CT. This clock is from the late 1800's. It is a 30 hour, time only. There is no chime. The clock works on and off. It ran 3 hours, then stopped, ran 20 min, then stopped.etc. It probably needs cleaning and oiling. It appears to be all original except for the key. The key is not marked so we don't know if that is the original key. The wood case has a nice lable on the inside and a partial on the back. There is a spot on the left hand side of the door that has a piece of veneer missing. There are scratches and varnish loss in spots due to age. The dial looks to be painted zinc with the Waterbury Trade Mark in the center of the dial and has lots of crazing to the paint with some paint loss. The glass has no cracks or chips ... moreand has a decal rather than a reverse painting as many Waterbury Clocks do. The clock stands 12" tall, 8-1/2" 8-1 across the front and is 3-3/4" deep. Offering a antique wood regulator clock that seem to work just find. Ran it for over a week before it started loosing a minute or 2. forgot how long it ran so I do not know how many days it ran. It did come from a old clock collector. It is apt 27" high. 12" cross round part an 11" wide at widest part of bottom. Weight is 8 3/4 pounds. The very bottom of the clock is a small tit or knob which look like the very point on it was missing. On the 2 sides are some small post. One of the post came unnailed an I had to put some glue on bottom. May wont to check that out. Other wise the clock is in good condition an runs great. If wish ask more questions. Antique Waterbury case/mantel clock with key/pendulum. Stunning.
This is a beautiful mantel or case clock. This was a family piece and it has a note with it that says" cleaned and new face. Old antique clock, Waterbury and that note is dated November 29, 1967. My uncle was a antique dealer. The Pendulum has a W on both sides. A little paper inside says l-lower, r-faster. I don't know if this works as not sure where the key goes. My uncle had wonderful things so I'm assuming it works just fine. It has the key. Its 13" high and 11" across the bottom. Its 5 1/4 deep. The wood might be cherry? Please note- this clock needs a little work- I will describe the issue below. This antique Seth Thomas Adamantine clock has the pendulum and key. Everything appears original. But I am not a clock expert- we have taken lots of pictures for you to evaluate. Please note- there is a small chip/hole in the finish on the top of the case and a little surface wear here and there. It does not currently run. But I don't think it is a major problem for someone who knows what they are doing. When the pendulum moves, the thin piece of wire does not make enough contact with the gear to make it index- if I"help it along' just a bit, the wire will make the gear move. In other words- I*think* the piece of wire that the pendulum hangs from needs tweaking.
