Offered here is a wonderful 3 piece ornate garniture set consisting of a mantel clock and 2 matching candelabras by Imperial of Italy. This Louis XVI style lyre shaped clock is solid brass with green marble and bronze colored ormolu satyr cherub figurines. Brass garland, claw feet and scroll motifs with rooster heads. The corresponding candelabras have 6 lights around a taller center light with similar treatment. The key wind all brass 8 day movement is a German Franz Hermle 130-070 balance wheel system with 2 brass bell chimes. It is running well. Keeps good time and chimes properly. With a pleasant and bright bim-bam style. The bells chime on the hour with an hour count and once on the half hour. The 4" dial face is labeled Imperial and Made Italy. There is no damage to report and the condition is excellent. The brass is bright. The ... moremarble is clean and glossy, and the ormolu figurines have a nice vintage patina look. There are one or two candelabra lights that are not completely vertical in their orientation. But not severe. There are no chips. Cracks or repairs to the brass, marble or figurines and there are no broken or missing parts. The movement has a date code indicating this set was manufactured in 1995. All pieces have markings of a B or"Brevettato" a model number( and a foil paper label reading Made In Italy(see pics) The clock measures 24" tall to the finial x 14" wide x 7 1/2" deep. The candelabras also stand 24" tall to the top candle holder and the diameter of the 6 arms is about 11" This is a heavy set(about 40 lbs) and may need to ship in multiple cartons. Has ebony finish, cast feet, doorknockers on the sides that are missing their rings, columns with cherub angels resting on a foundation of green marbellized beams. Ornate brass face has good numerals; missing the outer ring and glass bezel. Case top needs refurb, balance of case could either be touched up and oiled/polished or refinished as well- quite presentable as is. This is a very beauiful antique wood carving that is marked on the back"Gustav Becker- Holzsohnitzer- Berghausen- Hauptstr. 80" I purchased this piece many. Many years ago, and it has been packed away in my closet, in my smoke-free home. It depicts a lovely country scene of a water mill that is very intricately carved in bas relief 3D. I am not sure what kind of wood this is, but it is very heavy and dense. The original wood color can be seen behind the painted"Gustav Becker" in the back The piece weights close to 3 pounds. It measures 15-3/8 inches wide(390 mm) and is 1-1/4 inches high(32mm) at it's highest point. There is a very old circular hanger on the back. Also on the back, there is a V shaped marking, as well as 2 very small nail holes. This may have been made if the carving was part of a clock, which I believe ... moreit was. The piece appears to be stained with different shades of brownish colors, as well as the green and white water that is coming from the bottom of the mill. There is some minor flaked paint along the upper right side, and there is a very small hairline crack along the right side rim(which I have shown in my pictures. Gorgeous antique wall clock. Believed to be a Gustav Becker, with ornate pre-WWI styling. Up for auction is an antique Ingraham large ornate top kitchen shelf or parlor mantle clock from the 1870's to 1880's. The inside bottom of the case is incised with Manufactured By The E. Ingraham& Co. Bristol. Conn. and the movement is marked E. Ingraham Co. Pat'd Oct. 8, 78 Nov. 11, 79. This clock is 24 in. high, 16 in. wide and 5 in. deep. It runs and keeps good time. Old clocks sometimes need a small amount of adjusting after shipping. It gongs only on the hour. The original key is included and marked E. Ingraham& Co. Bristol, Conn. The finish which appears to be original is in good condition and has probably darkened a little over time. This is a nice larger size old clock that displays beautifully. Listed for auction is this awesome antique Victorian Cherub Mantel Clock. This clock is made of thick. Heavy cast bronze or brass and metal and has a gold finish throughout. I don't know if the mechanism is original to the clock but it appears to be. There is a wooden circular cover on the back as seen in photos. This clock has had some repairs throughout. A few brass screws, nuts and bolts have been replaced on clock frame. Overall condition of this wonderful clock is solid. I don't see any damage to the piece. Great detail on the clock. There is a cherub standing attached to the clock. It appears there might be a piece missing from one of the hands. The front glass cover is hinged and opens. Glass is in good condition. No cracks. Hands are in tact and appear to be original to the piece. Comes with key and pendulum. Don't know ... moreif they are original to the piece but they work. I wound the clock, attached pendulum and gave it a little push and it ran for several days without rewinding. Kept good time but was a little slow. I did not open clock or try to adjust it because I am not an expert. There is no guarantee for this clock. Lower front of clock is bronze or brass. Other parts are brass and metal. Thank you for viewing this auction for a unique clock with nice ornate and bird carvings. I listed as Urgos as that is what the paper say's but I am unsure and there are no markings on the clock mechanism to verify. I took lots of photos as I am selling as found. The wind up key I went and purchased after getting the clock and to My surprise it wound and ran and the rang out at 1/2 and on the hour. I personally think the ringing out needs some adjusting as I think it should ring out 10 at 10 5 at 5 this one seems to have its own mind! The clock part seems fine lost then gained some minutes after adjusting the pendulum. The carved work has some cracks nothing to dramatic. The wood could use a good cleaning. Has some cracks were it was glued. The back paper I am unsure if it is original to the clock it is as shown in the photo. 9 3/8 inches ... morehigh 10 1/4 wide and 5 inch deep Measurement are taking at the base feet. SELLING AS FOUND. Here we have a lovely antique ornate clock by Jennings Brothers. the clock has patent dates on the back of the face listed as follows" PATENTED JAN.15 1878 MAY 6 1890 NOV 11 1890 DEC 23 1890 JAN 13 1891" so i figure this one is from 1891. it is very well formed with two cherubs, one at the top of the clock and one at the base,they are frolicking amongst the art nouveau scroll work and the clock has 4 legs. the dial is ivory with wonderful art nouveau numbers and a JCB in the top half. the crystal is all good. the back of the clock has lovely patterned design and is alsot marked THE JENNINGS BROTHERS CO. This is a beautiful large mantel clock in gorgeous marbled green and white trimmed in gold. Victorian theme with Victorian couple among roses. Made by Sessions c1940's. In like great condition. Sits10.5" tall, 11" wide and 4" deep. There are no cracks or breaks. The clock has a lot of crazing. It was working fine until my husband stepped on the cord plug. It definitely needs a new cord. Vintage gilded French carriage clock. In excellent working condition with brass key. The very beautiful clock has a substantial gilded case. It is heavily casted and gilded with finely casted caryatids on four columns. Floral motif on the handle. On top, on the surrounding area of the face, on the sides, the back and the bottom. There is a lot of detail on this clock and exquisitely made. Please check the photos carefully and you can appreciate this is a wonderful work of art. Bevel glass on top so you can see the movement. Edwardian Silver plated Ornate Desk Mantle Mantel CLOCK WORKING Antique little clock. Estate find! It was completely black when I found it. Took it to a jeweler/watch shop and he verified it is silver plated. It is a heavy metal with a solid bottom. Patent on the back says October. 28. 1902. Look like a Ansonia. But not sure. I did clean polish it. But it could use more. The porcelain face shows great age. But you can still see the Arabic numerals. It has a ornate medallion in the middle where the hands attach. The case is very fancy with flower blossoms. Vines and leaves. It also shows signs of age and wear. Measures 4 1/2" x 3" The clock movement is in a brass case. It is a mechanical wind. This clock is only striking very well because although it ticks for a minute or two it stops after a while possibly due to some balance problem. So you will need to have someone look at it. The movement in cleaned but has just some slight problem. It is striking the half hours and counting out the hours on the hour on its resonating cathedral coil gong. With bronze feet and fittings, with a neat look of scrolled white marble on the sides, in classic Second Empire style- just a beauty Movement is signed Japy Freres. Pendulum is original and ... morematches number on movement 2445, and key and may or may not be original.we cannot say a absolute certainty, though the provenance suggests that it is, as the estate from which it was acquired had a grand collection of French antique clocks, all of which are in the process of being tested and evaluated at time of this listing CONDITION: Marble had been cracked and repaired in 2 spots of thin pieces of marble.one very small chip of the right front corner of the flat piece of marble on uppermost this piece(a diagonal 1/2" wide across front x 3/4" deep with a point-to-point diagonal of 1" total- PHOTO) Not affecting the main part holding movement and dial, and the other one somewhat larger on the lower right edge going backward to rear(a diagonal 3" long across with maximum depth inward from edge being 1" just below curved scrolled piece which has not been damaged, barely if at all visible from front of clock- PHOTO) also on a thin flat oval piece upon which the main part with movement and dial are.It looks a lot worse than it was, as there is a great deal of aged, excess glue on the repair in the rear, but will come out with a citrus-type cleaner such as goo
