The white enamel dial features Roman numeral s and Brequet-style. Blued steel hands for the hours and the minutes. Above the X11 are two letters- R/A. This is a secondary fine timing adjustment. The letter R means retard or to slow it a bit and A indicates avance or to speed up just a bit. There is a slight scratch on the dial which extends just over the V1 chapter on the dial. The time and single bell movement is visible on the reverse. The movement also features a brass bob detachable gridiron pendulum which can be adjusted as well to fine tune the accuracy of the movement. The back plate features the makers stamp and movement numbers in addition to an additional stamp for La Croix de la Legion d'Honneur which he was awarded for his contributions to Horology. The top center of the dial bears the name of the clockmaker and noted horologist Constantin- Louis Detouche(1810- 1889) Constantin was the head of The House of Detouche who were on the forefront of French Horology by combining artistic elegance with scientific precision. The dial has an abbreviation-Fseur which means fournisseur or provider as he was appointed as the official clockmaker to The City of Paris and to the Emperor Napoleon III as well as the Croix de Danneborg by the King of Denmark. During the mid 19c The House of Detouche presented at many Horological and Industrial Expositions where they would submit their latest and technologically advanced and complicated creations. This clock features a heavy brass and beveled glass case which are in good condition with no noticeable damage except for a small dent on the center top of the clock. The porcelain dial is unmarked and is in good condition with one minor hairline crack. The clock's escapement functions properly when manually exercised. However, it will not run for more than a few seconds. The escapement works for a considerable time without the pendulum, so I think this is probably a beat adjustment, but this is only a guess. The chime side functions properly when manually turning the hands. This clock comes with a simulated mercury double vial pendulum and an antique key. The pendulum alone sells for about $70. The clock’s dimensions are 10” tall by 6” wide by 4.75" deep. This clock movement was purchased in a clock collector’s estate sale. Please check out all the photos for condition of this clock. Please read my description and view all my pictures below.Up for auction is a circa 1914 Seth Thomas drop octagon gilt model wall clock. More commonly called school clocks. It's a nice example of this model. The mahogany case is in good shape for it's age and still retains the original finish. Most everything on this clock appears to be original too, including the painted dial, hands, bezel, glasses and makers label. This model has gilt lines around the case that have become worn in a couple ... morespots near the lower door.The signed 8 day time only movement is also original to the case. Upon inspection, it appears that the movement was recently cleaned but the previous owner. I oiled the mainspring and all pivots. It is running very well and keeping good time. I will note that the escape wheel pivot is showing some wear. It is not effecting the running of the clock but may need to be addressed in the future.About 21" tall by 14" wide. Antique Original Coca Cola Coca-cola Coke Oak Regulator Wind Up Clock Very Rare
You are bidding on a very rare piece of coca-cola history. These clocks were given to country stores in the late 1800's to early 1900's to advertise coke. I new they were rare because I have only seen about a half dozen in the last nearly 40 years and I tried to buy everyone I saw but after researching them a little on ebay I have came to the conclusion that they must be extremely rare because they have over 56.000+ items listed and none of these clocks. This particular clock I bought right out of a local home from the grandson of the original owner. It was running on the wall when we took it down. Usually these clocks are Ingraham's or Gilberts but the only way to actually tell is to take the face off and look at the works and they will probably be signed but I don't want to do this unless someone really wants to know. The ... moreclock is solid oak with it's original dark finish. The glass is all original,The paint is all original, some of the black paint on the top glass is missing, see photo but can easily be repainted if new owner desires. The gold on the bottom glass that says regulator is in great condition, bright, near perfect. The face is all original with the drink coca cola still visible but there are stains to the face which most clock people like me would much rather have the original face stained than a new one but it could be replaced but in my opinion would run the value of the clock. Most all American made wall regulators of this age have the back inside painted black which this one being no exception, see photos. This coke clock still has the original brass pendilum and key. DIMENSIONS: 34 inches in total height, total depth is 6 inches and 19 inches total width at the top of the clock on the moulding. Depth of the main part of the case 4 1/2 inches, width of the main part of the case 15 3/4 inches. Offered for your consideration is this Antique Ansonia Clock Co. regulator wall clock. This is an large clock measuring approximately 25" long x 17" wide x 5" deep. It features some very stunning natural swirls all around the Dark Rosewood cabinetry. This clock is a 2 glass affair with the round dial door glass. And bottom black w/ gold imagery. This clock comes with a pendulum and key. It worked great for the hour I tested it. The movement ticks wonderfully and it even appears to keep accurate time when level. The movement is a brass movement marked"ANSONIA CLOCK CO. and"12" It is is wonderful condition. The glass dial doors and bottom glass door are in good condition free of cracks or breaks. Hi, You are looking at beautiful Gustav Becker wall clock. This clock measures 79 cm tall and 35 cm wide and has a very nice wooden oak case. The clock needs a key to wind up which comes with it. It needs winding every 8 days. The clock has a large circle shaped pendulum inside the case. The sound of this clock is quite loud but magnificent. A deep and warm bell sound. On the clockface there is the maker's mark GB. This clock is antique since the brand was created in 1899. And in 1930 it merged with Junghans When the Second World War ended, the company stopped producing clocks, and today, Gustav Becker clocks are no longer produced. Thanks for your time. The brass pendulum is a beautiful lady head with sunburst around. The center brass dial is champleve also. The clock is not in working order: main spring broken. Sold"as found" No key included. The clockworks are marked: Etienne Mavant, Paris. It measures 14" tall by 6-3/4" wide by 6" deep. Antique Constantine Detouche gilt metal eight day regulator clock w glass dome
Here is a fine 19th Century Second Empire gilt metal and brass eight day table regulator clock. The façade of the clock features foliate decoration and volute feet on the lower portion. A male figure stands on the raised ground next to the movement casing holding a small bouquet. The white enamel dial features Roman numeral s and Brequet-style. Blued steel hands for the hours and the minutes. Above the X11 are two letters- R/A. This is a secondary fine timing adjustment. The letter R means retard or to slow it a bit and A indicates avance or to speed up just a bit. There is a slight scratch on the dial which extends just over the V1 chapter on the dial. The time and single bell movement is visible on the reverse. The movement also features a brass bob detachable gridiron pendulum which can be adjusted as well to fine tune the accuracy ... moreof the movement. The back plate features the makers stamp and movement numbers in addition to an additional stamp for La Croix de la Legion d'Honneur which he was awarded for his contributions to Horology. The top center of the dial bears the name of the clockmaker and noted horologist Constantin- Louis Detouche(1810- 1889) Constantin was the head of The House of Detouche who were on the forefront of French Horology by combining artistic elegance with scientific precision. The dial has an abbreviation-Fseur which means fournisseur or provider as he was appointed as the official clockmaker to The City of Paris and to the Emperor Napoleon III as well as the Croix de Danneborg by the King of Denmark. During the mid 19c The House of Detouche presented at many Horological and Industrial Expositions where they would submit their latest and technologically advanced and complicated creations. Antique Regulator clock. I am not sure if it is a Junghan's or a Kienzle. I have looked for a name. But cannot find anything. If the name is on the back of the works, I would have to take it out of the case, and I really don't want to do that. I am inclined to go with a Jungan. Has the R=H pendulum and 24 hour red numbers. This was bought in 2005 by a friend and I bought it from him. It ran fine but now it won't stay running.I have not done anything with it as to getting it repaired, so I can't tell you what the problem is.The mount that holds the works do not have the original screws. I don't know if there are any other replacement parts or non original parts. I think the two finials at the bottom of the clock are replacements. It is a pretty large clock. Very nice. Very original Gustav Becker 3 weight Vienna Regulator fully embossed weights. Pendulum and dial, This clock has an above average gong tone, kinda soft and pleasant compared to some twangy gongs. S/N 434.849 is fairly early considering he made 2.25 million clocks(aprox year 1884- 1880 is S/N 260,000 and 1885 is S/N 500,000) This clock was cleaned and restrung a few yrs ago and all is still well, fully functional and in very good condition. I just reoiled now as I was trying to decide who to keep and who to let go, this one pains me to let go but I have to many The case is all tight,the bottom finial dowel is broken but there is enough to insert and for the clock to hold it so it stays in the case as I do not approve of gluing finials to the clock. The door is bowed but it does latch, it is hard to notice unless you look for it, ... moresee the side pic on the bench, I clamped it inverting the bow a long time ago but it did not change at all and is just part of the history of the clock now as I was unwilling to steam or wet as I did not want to upset the original finish.
