This is a really pretty French Portico, Napoleon III, Regulating Pendulum Clock. Very nice working clock with lighter wood inlay. It measures 18 3/4" ... moreX 9 1/2" X 5". I believe it is from the late 1800's, but I am not a clock person. I am also not sure of the workings, but I put the pendulum on and gave it a nudge and it took off and ran for several minutes until I took it off. Seems to work fine. Comes with Key. This came from an estate of a high end clock and oil lamp collector. She only bought the best. She had a few Tiffany's and some carriage clocks which I purchased as well along with a few others. I will also be listing those so be sure to check my other listings.

This big clock measures 24.5" tall and 12" across the top of the front. The case is about 4.75" deep. I don't know anything about clocks. This one will run for a minute or so when the pendulum is given a gentle nudge. The clock spring and chime spring are wound tight. You can get the clock fixed or just use it as a decorator piece amid your antiques. It's an eye-catcher. Or salvage the parts here if you're in the clock business. There are very pretty engraved flower wreath across the front top. Wonderful bevelled glass on bottom front and glass sides. However. The bubbled glass over the face is missing. This is a heavy clock with heavy wood. Some chips on the top layer of wood. In particular on the top near the back, on the front between the face and the bottom glass may have been repaired, a chip on the right side wood by the face, and some scuffs. This could probably be restained and look very nice. Has key and pendulum; but I don't know if it works over the long term. Please know that the clock winds and the pendulum swings with the ticking of the mechanism. There is a faint"82" stamped on the back, and a sticker that shows the clock was repaired in 1979. I'm listing this for my friend's father, so it's not my personal clock, and I know very little about these. My friend's father had feared he overwound the clock, but it was keeping time and chiming normally once I got it home, so I think it's OK. Antique/Vintage Rare Meiji Black Adamantine Mantel Clock Working well. This unique black and gold mantel clock is not an American model from the turn of the century. Instead it is a MEIJI. Which is a Japanese clock company making clocks before the second world war. See the brand on the movement inside. But it looks like a Waterbury, Seth Thomas or the like. It has a shiny black adamantine case which is great condition for its age. Many of these old ones have thin restored adamantine but this one seems to be as thick and gleaming as it always was. Of course it has knocks and bumps commensurate with its age but they add character and it still looks really great. The decorations of columns and added metal have been gilded with proper gilding paste which has them glowing luxuriously gold. This clock is not only classy it works extremely well counting out the hours on the hour and the half hour on its beautiful resonating cathedral gong. This heavy cast iron pendulum bob may have been from an old Grandfather clock. It has no brass finish only the solid cast metal look. The back is built to hold a pendulum rod of wood or metal. I think the face is probably Tin or maybe some other Metal. He told me that the Painted Dial was a rare art which stopped at the beginning of the Twentieth Century. Also. For your consideration is this: Antique Cuckoo Clock Description: This beautifully crafted antique cuckoo clock is approximately 16" tall. 13 1/2" wide, and 6 3/4" thick without the pendulum and chains. The pendulum is approximately 8 1/2" long, and the two chains are each approximately 60" long when at their maximum possible length. The clock face is approximately 6" in diameter. One of the weights is approximately 6" in length and the other is approximately 7" in length. Each side of the clock has a small door that opens to reveal the internal gears. These doors may be used to set the clock. The back panel of the clock may also be removed to access the clock's internal workings. This clock is a masterful piece of woodworking decorated with an ornate wood flower pattern and inlaid wood bars. The ... moreoutside of the clock is almost entirely wood. Antique Regulator clock. I am not sure if it is a Junghan's or a Kienzle. I have looked for a name. But cannot find anything. If the name is on the back of the works, I would have to take it out of the case, and I really don't want to do that. I am inclined to go with a Jungan. Has the R=H pendulum and 24 hour red numbers. This was bought in 2005 by a friend and I bought it from him. It ran fine but now it won't stay running.I have not done anything with it as to getting it repaired, so I can't tell you what the problem is.The mount that holds the works do not have the original screws. I don't know if there are any other replacement parts or non original parts. I think the two finials at the bottom of the clock are replacements. It is a pretty large clock. This is clock absolutely gorgeous from its cloisone to its hand painted porcelain face and pendulum to its bevel glass panels. When I purchased it I was told it was working but I have only had it on display but whenever I move it runs for short spell so I think it will but it might need cleaning and adjusting. I have left everything original including the brass.There are some scratches in the brass and needs some polishing. The clock is very beautiful. It would be a wonderful addition to anyone's collection. It measures 18in high approx.8in deep and 15in. wide. It weighs 18lbs. It also comes with the key. Beautiful wall clock from R A Germany. Measures 26" tall and 14" wide. Wood case. Glass windows, brass and porcelain face and pendulum. This is an 8 day clock which gongs or chimes once on the half hour, and fully for each hour. Includes a new key. All else is the original. Door swings open, and there is a bit of wear from door, also two tiny areas of missing veneer on one corner of bottom right- see next to last photos. These are the only flaws. Has beautiful patina, and very clean. I just paid $130 to a clock restorer to thoroughly clean and set this clock. Took it home and got it all going, and it kept perfect time(altho this is adjustable, like everything on this clock, if you know how) and chimed correctly- kind of a mid range pleasant chime, not high, not low. 1890's~SETH THOMAS~ANTIQUE GINGERBREAD OAK MANTLE CLOCK w/CHIMES, KEY & PENDULUM
This auction is for an antique Gingerbread style oak mantel clock. I believe from the 1890's, marked on the face: SETH THOMAS- MANUFACTURED IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA- marked on the interior label: MANUFACTURED BY THE SETH THOMAS CLOCK CO. THOMASTON, CONN. Please see pictures for the label on the back. This classic old clock is still in very good condition overall in my opinion. The clock spring will wind up fine and it will run for 3 to 4 hours before stopping and then a little nudge on the pendulum will start it back up. The chimes will sound when the arms are manually moved around but they do not chime when the clock is running on its own. The chime spring is wound tight and seems stuck. I am fairly certain this clock only needs a little Clean, Lube and Adjustment for full function. There is a little splinter missing on the oak ... moreveneer on the lower right wing and otherwise the clock cabinet is also in very good condition. The label on the back is a little chipped in the middle area and some little pieces seem glued back on. This rare old clock measures 22 1/2" tall, 15" wide and it weighs approx. 6 lbs. 14 oz. with the key and pendulum. No rules. Simply pay and I mail promptly.
