Teacup & Saucer-Late 1700’s-Floral Pattern-Hand Painted-Has A Professionally Rep
This matching saucer and cup are hand painted with a floral pattern. They date to the 1700’s. We got these from an antique shop going out of business sale in 1982. The lovely lady who sold them to us was very knowledgeable and well on top of her game. Just getting on in years and ready to retire(like me! She was a licensed appraiser. And she said this little set dated to the late 1700’s, possibly French. There are no marks to go by. You can see her label in our photos, and you can see what we paid in those old days. The cup is a bit under 2 1/2” tall and measures 2 3/8” in diameter. The deep saucer is just a tad over 5” across and is about 1 1/2” deep. The bottom edge of the saucer feels a little rough when you run your finger around it. The cup lesser so. Just normal shelf wear over the centuries. Please note so that you are aware: there ... moreare two items concerning the condition. The first is that as you can see. In the bottom of the teacup are some grains of sand, which are a permanent part of the cup and resulted as a n error somehow during the manufacturing process. You can see that the lines of the break are barely visible. Just so you know for sure before you bid. I would like to add that we have handled this cup many times over the years. Very thin porcelien. Hand painted teacup& saucer. It is primarily red with gold accents. There are 2 Geishas and a Pagoda in the background. Neither piece is signed or marked to identify a maker. The saucer is 5 1/4" in diameter and a small chip on the edge. There is also some of the paint on the back. The cup is 4 1/2" from the outside edge to the back of the handle and it stands 1 3/4" tall. There are no chips or cracks on the cup, but the paint looks sloppy on the outside of the cup. This auction is for an antique Porcelain Cup& Saucer. The Teacup. Which measures 2 ¾” tall by 2 5/8” diameter, is marked on the bottom with an 18th century Sevres Porcelain Mark. According to my research, Sevres put a letter A in the center of the“Double-Louis” starting in 1753 and changed the letter with each year, omitting W. The marking on this cup has a K in the center which dates it from 1764. This Sevres Porcelain Teacup has a very finely hand painted 3 3/8” by 2” vignette of a colorful, exotic bird. There is a tiny chip to the inside edge of this teacup and another on the bottom edge. There are no other problems or any restorations. Along with this Teacup comes a 5 ¼” diameter Porcelain Saucer. The marking on the bottom of this saucer is also“Sevres” but after comparing it to others, and acknowledging that the letter E would mean that it dates from 1757, I have determined that this is not an authentic marking. I am selling a miller and breeding china teacup and saucer x 2 set. It is beautifully hand painted with blue and white flowers and gold trim. I have a second saucer that looks like it's from the same company that I am putting with this set. I am Not sure of this company and can't find any info on the internet so I'm not sure where it was originally made. The teacup is approx 4" from rim to tip of handle and 2 1/4" high. The saucers are 5 1/2" and 5 3/4" in diameter. The teacup has some imperfections but is really quite beautiful. Sankaat is very pleased to present for your consideration this"Royal Vienna" Hard Paste porcelain tea cup and saucer painted with Roses in bloom and blossoming. Some of the finest painting of Roses to be seen. The level or artistry is superb and surpasses that of many of the Dresden studios of the late 19th century. Marked with an underglaze blue"Shield" commonly known as a beehive) the body is a very good quality hard paste porcelain. The Royal Vienna Factory went out of business in 1864 and following its closure the"Beehive" mark has been used by numerous factories throughout europe, some made wares that rivaled the quality of the factory and others not so much. This piece was made after the factory's closure(no impressed 3 digit numerals as found on authentic vienna) however the painting appears to be ... moreof an artist from the Vienna factory, or KPM. I have for you this evening a beautiful cup and saucer set made at the kilns of Haviland in Limoges. This lovely and delicately cast piece is made of the very finerst of French made porcelain and has been cast into a classic mold shape for this maker. This piece has been fully hand painted with dainty little flowers in purple. White and pinks that look almost like violets but could not say that for sure. The interioe of the cup has been glazed near the rim in a lovely mint color and has been embellished with gold gilt. The trim and handle have all been gold gilt as well. The underside of the saucer has been initialed by the artist"G.B" This will make a gorgeous addition to your collection and will look amazing in your favorite cabinet or out on display for all to see. The teacup measures 4" in diameter across the top and 2" tall. The saucer is 6" diameter. The markings on the back indicate that this pattern is made by KPM. Berlin, Germany. If you look at the mark you will see that RW is marked over the KPM Marking. This indicates that the porcelain is KPM which was founded in 1763 and is still in production today. The RW mark is from Rudolf Wachter which started in Bavaria in 1914. The RW mark was introduced in 1920. Due to the war and other financial hardships at the time. Some companies such as RW would take already made porcelain and redecorate it. I believe this may have been the case for this tea cup which would explain the over mark. This beautifully hand-painted Victorian bone china teacup and saucer features a different colorful summer floral bouquet in each oval cartouche. Framed by gilt with a charming looping border on a field of white with emerald green. Made in the Staffordshire factory during the 1860s by either Bodley. Cauldon or Brownfields. The pattern inventory numbers are painted on the bottom and appear to be: 4330" No chips. Cracks, repairs, though there is gilt wear commensurate with age. Dimension: Cup: 2.5" high 2.25" wide Saucer: 5.25" diameter. This lovely Victorian set from the collection of the seller's grandmother. Is a beautiful work of art.

This early Victorian English? teacup. Saucer trio set is all handpainted over a trasferware and looks very old, I would date them around 1800- 1830. They have no mark but early English bone china is not marked(the first registration numbers and marks appeared on porcelain as early as 1830s) I found it at estate sale where I purchase other early pieces- Meissen and Bavarian plates from 1830s. the cup has number 1945 hand written on it. There is no other marks but the pattern looks like early Imari. This is exceptional piece of history that survived all these years. The set is made of fine bone china. The cup and the saucer are very deep. In the 1800s they used saucer for sipping hot tea. The bottom of the teacup and saucer are signed with the following information: Hand Painted. Shafford, Japan. Regardless, this apple teacup and saucer are hand painted and finished in an iridescent luster. Both pieces are trimmed with gold gilt. The teacup is 2" tall x 3.25" across the opening, not including the handle. The saucer is 4.875" across. ANTIQUE TEACUP & SAUCER HAND PAINTED SIGNED BY ARTIST CIRCA 1908 AS IS
This is a very beautiful antique teacup and saucer. It is hand painted and is signed by the artist. Appears to be from 1908 making it over 100 years old. Artwork is quite beautiful. It is very pretty. But not perfect. Back in the 1900's when there was damage to a piece of porcelain, they would often staple it somehow to avoid the hairline from spreading or the piece breaking. I can't imagine how you can staple something so delicate without damaging it, but it did do the job. It is very difficult to see the hairline on the top, only way I see it is on the bottom. The repair is done very well as I think it was done professionally. Beautiful set. Displays quite lovely. Teacup is 3-1/2 inches and the saucer is 6 inches across. Photos are part of the description. Vintage Takito - Teacup & Saucer - Marked TT - Hand Painted - Japan
Hand Painted Vintage Tea cup& Saucer Marked TT The Takito company 1880-1948. Decorated by hand. This company is mostly known as one of those specializing on the Lustre ware type of decoration originally developed by the Noritake company but pieces with moriage decoration in Moriage a'la Kyoto Satsuma on porcelain. Are also common. Between 1891 to 1921 the products should be marked'Nippon' Marks later than 1945 usually comes with the addition of"Made in Occupied Japan" T T" in two rectangles.
