From 1867, Taylor and Kent Limited was associated with the manufacture of fine porcelain and fine bone china. My grandmother collected a large variety of bone china teacups with matching saucers in the 1950s and 1960s. This set was purchased during that time. This antique teacup and saucer set features a large array of dusty pink roses with yellow daffodils and green leaves. Together with gold metallic gilding on the edges. This set is in average condition, with no scratches or chips. It has one small hairline fracture(see 2nd photo) on the outside of the cup. The cup measures 3 3/4" wide by 3 3/4" high and the saucer measures 6 1/2" across and 1" high. The heavy gold trim and eveything else on the cup and saucer are in great condition. Offered here is a pretty early English soft paste porcelain london-shape cup and saucer dating to about 1825. This set has a soft brown transfer enhanced by brightly enameled pink. Orange and green florals and peach lustre rims. Cup measures 2 3/8" in height and the deep saucer is 5 1/2" in diameter. Nice translucency and in perfect condition with no damage or hidden hairlines.
