Vintage Tea Cup and Saucer - Hand painted - Asian-Imari-Royal Albert Influence?
I am not knowledgeable about collector tea cups and saucers. When I was buying. It was more for pleasing color and form than for resale. I have no idea where this set was crafted, although there is a distinctly Asian influence to the painting style. The bottom of the saucer simply says 1109 in red with an F in red and another F in black. The background on this set is white. It has scalloped edges both on the cup and saucer with some embossing. The pattern is of reddish flowers with larger cobalt leaves and tiny soft brown leaves and branches. The veins in the cobalt leaves are highlighted in hand-painted gold with some hand-painted gold vining. Both the cup and saucer are edged in gold. The cup has the floral/gold design repeated on both the inside and outside with embossed ribbing on the outside. This is a very delicate-looking set with ... moreno chips. Scratches or signs of wear.
