A Vieux Paris Porcelain 3 Footed Cabinet Cup & Saucer Heavy Gilding & Flowers
Here is a beautiful old French cup and saucer with a handpainted floral bouquet surrounded by heavy gilding. What was hard to photo is more of the floral design that is running around both the cup and saucer bordered by the white lines in gold. There is heavy white beading on the bottom of the cup and both cup and saucer have the initials WB. These are in excellent unused condition with no chips. Cracks, or crazing and the gilt is strong. There is no damage to the handpainted flowers on either. This comes from the estate of a gentleman that is downsizing and has a beautiful collection of glass. The set consists of a Dresden hand painted and cabinet quality goblet and saucer. The main color of the set is a dark iridescence burgundy with hand painted pastoral scenes and substantial gilt decoration. Each piece is marked with a crown and"Dresden" along with a gilt flower.
