This rare antique Imhof clock is in excellent condition and working order. The light spots in the photos are just from the camera flash and reflection. The clock does not have the clear glass face cover. This is easily replaceable. It also does not have the end knob to set the clock time. This is also easily replaceable. Currently. I can set the time with needlenose pliers. I believe this clock is vintage 30's or 40's and is definitely early 20th century. The clock was made by the famous Swiss company Imhof and is an 8 day- 15 jewel clock. Overall the solid brass(or bronze) clock case measures almost 7" across by 5" in height. The face has a beautiful hand painted, colorful and enameled persian or asian hunt scene. This beautiful clock has a clean, shiny and ornate case with raised shiny gold numbers. Veglia Vintage Italian 1930's Veglia Alarm Clock, Black Face, Not working Rare
Rare Hard to find Late 30's early 40's Veglia"Made in Italy" Wind up alarm clock with repeat and silent buttons. This is a Black Face Clock(Supposedly harder to find than the white face ones) It runs for a short while. But has something wrong with the winding mechanism, possible broken spring. It needs some TLC. The case has a bit of rust on it. As can be seen in photos. There is a slight dint in it where I guess it has been dropped. There is a crack in the glass as can be seen in picture. The clock runs for a while then stops as the spring holds no tension. The alarm works fine. Veglia is the same company that makes the gauges for early Ducati's.

It is very old and comes w original key. 18"h x 13"w x 10" d. I am not sure if the inside is complete so I took a few pics. Not even sure if it runs so I would expect this to need repair but maybe you will get lucky and it will run as is. It has the winding key. The wood finish is in rough shape with MAJOR scratches and corner dings. Will need a refurbishing. It is very very heavy. But it is beautiful and incredibly old and rare. This is a one-handed wall water clock or clepsydra. Fill up the brass tube reservoir. Open the little spigot, and water drips into the bottom reservoir. T's a float(shown in one of the pics) attached to the chain that goes around a sprocket and turns the hand in front of the dial. As the water level drops. The hand turns. The dial indicates that this is a 24 hour clock. Water must be refilled once a day. 33 1/2" tall. Dial and bottom reservoir 9 3/4" wide, body of clock 7" wide. Thick brass dial and hand. Beautifully made and engraved. Sheet brass reservoirs and info plate on the bottom. Also beautifully made and soldered. Wood is likely wormy chestnut. As I understand it is a very collectible reproduction of early water clocks from Chapman Manufacturing of Massachusetts. It does say"Made in Italy. This is really a great piece of engineering history with great patina and fabulous conversational piece. It does say"Made in Italy. I have read that the first water clocks were made to limit attorney's from talking too long in Asia. The technical term for a water clock is clepsydra. The classic clock and watch book Britten's Old Clocks and Watches(9th edition) notes that. Up for auction is this antique rolling eye owl clock made by the J. Oswald Company. In the Black Forest of Germany. For the most part the clock works, sometimes you have to shake it, the eyes rotate to tell time, left eye for the hours, right eye for the minutes. There is some wear to the owl, I took numerous pictures to show the wear, clock also rocks a little, not sure if the screw on the base needs to be tighten. The backside also looks new. The clock works well and has a nice red sweeping second hand. You can hear the motor working with a low humming sound. The only thing that gives it away as old is some aging on the brass around the lens. A remarkable looking clock for being over 60 years old. These clocks are hard to find in this condition. 1950-1960's Sessions vintage wall clock. All original. In fair condition, little surface rust around the iron case, but definatly not ruined or to far gone. Sessions was a well known vintage clock maker that went out of business in the sixties. Which makes this a fairly rare clock. Valued in the same condition at $200+. The clock needs a ground wire fixed which mean it does not work as of now, but it would work with that fixed by the looks of the internals. The outside and inside are in good condition for the age. This is a Late 1940s. Early 1950s Vintage wood Wall Clock in the form of a Sunburst. It is adorned in gold leaf. It appears on the dark side in the photos, but I assure you, it is quite gold in color. The movement is German made. The body was fashioned by the Syracuse Ornamental Co. Inc. It measures 24" inches) in diameter and is quite heavy. It functions fine, despite it's age. The label on the back states that is made of"Syroco" wood. Underneath the 6. Vintage tapemeasure clock This clock has a unique design. The application for the patent for this clock was filed in April of 1935. The top actually turns as the the clock ticks away. There is a indicator needle that you use to tell the time. To adjust the time you spin the top to the correct position. There is an adjustment on the bottom to adjust the pace of the time along with a knob to wind the clock. If the clock stops you restart it by shaking it which is typical of this type of clock or twist the knob at the bottom. Of course you will need to wind it first. Molded porcelain, sitting on 3 feet nicely painted and qilded, all in the typical Capo-di-Monte Italy style. There are seven or eight cherubs playing in a garden. Completely encircling the base. The top of the base has a decal of a painting entitled"Home For Christmas" with the artist's name. Picture this lovely collectible on your mantel or bookcase. Base has stamped mark from R.
