Nice Antique Teutonia German Mantle Shelf Clock - Time and Strike - Works Good
We have up for sale a nice old German shelf clock. Has been running in our house. There is no glass on face. There is paint scuffs on case and looks like the little knob on top of case has been reglued. On back of case there is a label saying Teutonia Clock Manufactory. Under trademark shows Made in Baden. Under that is the word Warranted, then P.H.S, then it is numbered(can make out only 351) The P.H.S stands for Phillip Haas& Sohn. There is another label at the top on back of case saying(name) Jeweler and Silversmith established(unreadable) then Hemel Hemstead. There is small damage to the wood on case where this label is(as shown in pic) On the movement there is a mark with P.H.S with a rabbit above it. Comes with pendulum and key. Classic Art Nouveau New Haven U.S.A. Gilt Mantle Shelf Clock Cupid Cherub Finial
From a local estate. This wonderfully ornate mantle clock was manufactured in the early part of the century by the New Haven Clock Company in New Haven, CT. The clock stands approximately 10 1/2" tall with a 4 1/2" base. In the Art Nouveau style that was popular at the time, the heavy metal gilt case features a highly detailed design with a cherub or cupid holding a laurel wreath finial. The clock itself has a glass covering over the white face, which has some light brown stains(see photos) It does tick when wound and seems to keep time. Overall, the piece is in good used condition, but we are hesitant to keep winding it, to see if it keeps good time, so we are selling it"as is" One of the 4 screw heads that holds the clock in place is missing, so it is a bit loose. 18th C Austrian Bracket/Shelf/Mantle Clock, 8 D. Triple Chain Fusee, by J Gratzl
This is an operating late 18th C Austrian bracket/shelf/mantle clock made by Johann Georg Gratzl of Vienna. Austria. It measures 20.5"H, 13.5"W, and 7.5"D. It has a softwood case(possibly fruitwood or pine) with the original faux red wood and gold paint finish. There are cracks in the case sides, and there has been professional repair to the interior trim. The paint is appropriately worn for a clock more than 200 years old(please see the pictures) The case has an inverted bell top form with rectangular door and tombstone dial. It has cast brass flame finials and brass bun feet. The front and back doors lock, and the key is included. I see no evidence that this clock had a top handle, and given the clock's size and visible movement, I believe it was made to sit on a large mantle with a mirror behind it. The movement is a brass 8 day triple chain fusee which rings 1-4 times at the 1/4 hours and chimes the hours at the hour. There are signs of professional maintenance and repair to the clockworks, however, the clock retains the original crown wheel escapement. The silence feature for the 1/4 hour rings is operational but the hourly chimes silencing is not. The clock's works are in need of maintenance including lubrication or replacement of the springs, possibly some bushings, and cleaning. However, as it is, I have found the clock to keep accurate time over a period of 4 days without winding(however, this is not guaranteed) The movement includes a bejeweled false pendulum made from clear/blue glass or crystal. This dates the clock between 1894 and 1902. The case is made of sterling silver and has a wonderful design. It stands 12.5 cm or 5 inches and weighs 730 grams unpacked. Up for auction is an antique Waterbury black mantle shelf clock. It is 11 in. high. 16 1/2 in. long and 6 in. deep. The back paper label shows it is the Delray model circa 1915. There is also a partial paper label with Directions for setting the clock. There is a partial paper label on the back door showing it was sold by L.D. Clapham& Co. Jewelers and Opticians. The movement is marked Waterbury Clock Co. U.S.A. This clock runs and keeps good time. It only gongs on the half hour. We have not been able to get it to gong on the hour. For sale is vintage antique? mantle/shelf clock. 14-1/2 inches tall. Sorry. I don't see any brand identifier, but the key that's included says"12 France. There is a faint"82" stamped on the back, and a sticker that shows the clock was repaired in 1979. I'm listing this for my friend's father, so it's not my personal clock, and I know very little about these. My friend's father had feared he overwound the clock, but it was keeping time and chiming normally once I got it home, so I think it's OK. However, because of the age of the item, it's being sold as-is. Also, please note that the decorative piece on top of the clock is loose, and can be reglued. C. 1820, double weight, chiming bell movement made by Eli Terry for Seth Thomas, Plymouth, C.T. with painted wood dial, beautiful stencil eagle on top, reverse painted fruit basket at bottom door. Up for auction is a beautiful case no matter what movement you slide in here! This piece(mind you I am NOT an expert) has a very European look. So I am guessing French. Please take a second(or 20) to look at the designs/patterns and come to your own conclusion. There are 2 stamps inside across from each other. Both markings are the same, it almost looks like a cup or Paul with an S on it. Other than that I have not a clue. But it is beautiful. And it is HEAVY! Up for auction is an antique Ingraham large ornate top kitchen shelf or parlor mantle clock from the 1870's to 1880's. The inside bottom of the case is incised with Manufactured By The E. Ingraham& Co. Bristol. Conn. and the movement is marked E. Ingraham Co. Pat'd Oct. 8, 78 Nov. 11, 79. This clock is 24 in. high, 16 in. wide and 5 in. deep. It runs and keeps good time. Old clocks sometimes need a small amount of adjusting after shipping. It gongs only on the hour. The original key is included and marked E. Ingraham& Co. Bristol, Conn. The finish which appears to be original is in good condition and has probably darkened a little over time. This is a nice larger size old clock that displays beautifully. Antique New Haven Cast Iron Bronze Finish Victorian Mantle/Shelf Clock
Take a close look at the photos of this very old and marvelously decorated clock. It is 4” tall 5” wide and 2” deep. So it’s probably more of a shelf clock than a mantle clock. The face of the clock is 2” in diameter. It has a unique shape and is wonderfully decorated with Victorian-style relief scenes. It has a beautiful bronze patina. The bottom of the clock has four small feet with a cobblestone finish. It has“JB 1374” stamped on the bottom. I don’t know what this is. The clock does run. But only intermittently. It does not keep accurate time. If you’re buying this to be a functioning timepiece. You’ll have to invest in hopefully minor repairs. It has a few dings. Most notably the top front of the spire. SOLD AS FOUND FOR REPAIR The clock may or may not run after being completely leveled(width& depth) and coaxed several times. Because the movement is in need of cleaning. Adjustment or repair and may not run when received by the buyer, I AM SELLING AS IS FOR REPAIR. The pendulum appears to be suspended rather low(see photo) The brass winding and adjustment key was manufactured by Ansonia. The paint is original and exhibits some scratches and chips. Antique Sessions Wood Temple Style Mantle Shelf Clock
Up for auction is an antique Sessions temple style mantle or shelf clock in a medium toned wood. This clock is 10 3/4 in. high. 15 1/2 in. wide and 6 1/4 in. deep. The face is marked Made By The Sessions Clock Co. Forestville, Conn. U.S.A. The movement is marked similarly. The pendulum is marked with an S. This attractive looking clock runs and keeps good time. It gongs on the hour and the bell rings on the half hour. There is some light scratching on the center of the glass door. The back door isn't all original and the side handles are missing. The case has some small punch marks which are visible in the pictures. This is still a nice clock that displays well. Please look at all the enlarged pictures as they are part of the description. Up for auction is an antique Wm. L. Gilbert kitchen style mantle or shelf clock for the Victorian Era. This clock is 21 in. high. 14 in. wide and 4 1/4 in. deep. The movement is marked Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co. Winsted, Conn. U.S.A. Pat. June 3, 1879. The clock runs and keeps good time. It gongs on the hour. The painted decoration on the door is worn and the face is worn as shown. There is a working key included although not the original. The very top of the clock appears to have been broken off a long time ago. It still displays nicely. I just got this last weekend at an old antique estates auction and it has been running and striking since. I am selling this nice clock just as I found it. I didn't so much as even oil it. It looks to be the original pendulum and has a key with it, it has a good old original finish metal figural sitting artist figure statue that is sitting unattached on top the case, it has 2 really nice brass lions head medallions and fancy applied cast brass on the front, a wavy design to the top and sides of case, a 5-1/2" heavy decorated cast brass dial bezel door with original old convex curved glass. Embossed brass center dial with a porcelain chapter ring. Jacob Petit Old Paris porcelain mantle clock with shelf
A handsome and elegant signed Jacob Petit mantle clock with supporting shelf. The clock has a porcelain dial with Roman numerals in black and bears the inscription"Hry. Mare. A Paris. The dial is set around a brass rim with tooled beads in brass. The clock surround is a rich profusion of scrolls decorated in gilt and the lower part of the clock has a design of two birds fluttering on either side of a gushing fountain surrounded by garlands of roses and gilt scrolls. The sides and top of the clock are richly and profusely decorated in a luscious plum color with cartouches depicting floral sprays of roses, tulips, corn flowers and dahlias in rich tones of pink, blue, yellow, violet, and russet and this entire cartouche is surrounded by a decorative border of gilt scrolls. Below and above these are additional designs in gilt and the very ... moretop of the clock has a spray of gilt. The shelf of the clock is richly colored in the same plum color as the clock sides and top with elaborate gilt scrolls and garlands along the sides and front and a design of flowers along the front of the base in tones of pinks and blues. The brass cover at the back of the clock is missing, but the pendulum and key and all working parts are in order, though the clock will need to be fine tuned by an expert clock person to ensure it is in good running order. Jacob Petit's initials"JP" appear on the inside of the clock shelf in a deep blue. The approximate dimensions(including shelf) are: 12 inches tall by 9 inches wide by 5 inches deep. Antique Art Deco Warren Telechron Clock - Shelf Mantle Style Model 4H87
Art deco style clock manufactured by the Warren Telechron Company The original metal ID tag is on the backside. The backside does have some scratches. But the front and sides are in good condition. The clock measurements are 10.5" wide by 6.5" tall. The clock is in working order and runs very quietly but loses time about 2 minutes an hour, not sure how to adjust this. Missing know on back. It was made ca. 1904, the model is called“CREST” The clock is crafted in the highly ornate Rococo style with a porcelain face and is adorned at the top with a cherub holding an artist’s pallet. It is marked on the face as shown in the photos also on the back of the works inside is marked Ansonia. The finish looks to be a bronze finish, but I can’t be sure. The clock measures 12-1/2 inches tall from the bottom to the top of the cherub’s head. It is 6-1/2 inches wide and measures 5 inches from the front to the back legs. The clock runs then stops. Antique NEW HAVEN MANTLE CLOCK Vintage Wood Case Shelf Tambour 1920's Art Deco
New Haven Mantle Clock This is a gorgeous old New Haven clock with a lovely shape. The latest patent date on the clock mechanisms is 8-14-23. This clock has a rich. Dark finished wood case. I believe the clock face is metal. There are three positions on the clock face for winding as well as the chime. The face is marked Chime Silent in addition to the New Haven mark on the lower part of the face. There is a key included, it is from Germany. A pendulum is also included. I consider the clock body and face to be in quite nice condition. The only alteration that I see is that it looks like someone may have used a very small nail to hold the hands on the clock. I have tested this. The clock keeps time and chimes. The chimes have a nice sound to them, it's not too gongy and loud. There are some very minor scratches on the case and the front ... morehas a mark where it looks like someone may have left a piece of tape on it for awhile. The glass door on the front opens and closes well in addition to the door on the back. This measures approximately 20.5" long. 9.5" tall and 5.75" deep. The pendulum and the key will be individually wrapped. I will place some bubble wrap against the face of the clock inside the door. This will be double boxed to avoid trauma during transit. Antique weight driven Ogee mahogany mantle/shelf clock. Made by Chauncey Jerome, dates to the 1830s, has signed brass movement and is being sold in"as is" condition for restoration or parts. Clock measures 25 3/4" tall x 15 3/8" wide x 4 3/8" deep. Original painted glass has been replaced with mirror many years ago, glass over face is cracked, clock face is worn, faded, case has some small veneer chips at corners and one other spot. Vintage Antique French Brunfaut Mantle/Shelf Clock as-is for parts broken
Vintage Antique French Brunfaut Mantle/Shelf Clock. Missing a clock hand. A leg is broken off. One of the leaves is broken also. Could be more damage that I haven't noticed. Sometimes it ticks, usually it doesn't. There are no keys for it and the bell and possibly other pieces are missing. The movement is marked Z& CIE Paris. It measures approx. 10" wide and stands approx. 10" tall. Questions are welcome.

WORKING Late 1800's E Ingraham Kitchen Mantle Parlor Shelf Gingerbread Clock
You will get the clock that is pictured. I don't know alot about it, but it is working, seems to be in excellent condition, and is very very old. I listed this one just like one that I saw sell for around $200, and I'm not sure that one even worked! The pendulum swings like it is supposed to, it has the key to wind it up, the alarm went off while I was messing with it, or it may have been that it was on midnight and chiming, not sure. It also chimes every so often and makes a few different sounds, like a clock like this should, it is awesome! And again, it seems to work perfect! The casing is wooden, I believe it is rosewood, has beautiful carvings on it, the glass on the front has good looking etchings. The clock has lots of markings on the back, see pics. I did not clean it cause I didn't want to mess with the originality, this ... moreis a very very old clock, an I can't believe that it actually works! The clock stands 22" tall and is 15" wide. You may have to wind the clock again to get it started. To do this, you simply use the key, and turn the screws on the clock face. They both turn in towards each other. And I turned the bottom gold key to see what it did, not sure what that does. But in sure if your a clock collector, you should know how to work this one. I will ship this in a box wrapped in bubble wrap. And shipped with peanuts, either by Parcel post or Priority mail, whichever is the most reasonable, but either way, it should arrive safely. I also can't take returns on this item unless I listing it wrong in some way. So it is as is, all I know and guarantee is that it works, cause I don't know much about these type clocks. Antique Seth Thomas Shelf/Mantle Clock parts or repair wind up Mahogany key USA
I don't have a clue about clocks. But from what I've been able to find, it appears as though it's a Seth Thomas clock. It doesn't seem to work, although the key does seem to wind the right mechanism just fine. I didn't want to force the left one. The buyer gets what they see. I wish I could provide more, but I really don't know anything more. Purchased at an Estate Sale. I do know that the key sure looks neat and likely sells for quite a bit by itself. No reserve.
