The inspiration for this stylish wall clock comes from the Italian pioneer of radio. Guglielmo Marconi. Marconi's work in the development of wireless radio was quite literally a quantum leap in the field of human communication, contributing greatly to the advancement of the modern world. The design of the Marconi 2 shows the first experimental radio waves being transmitting across the Atlantic in 1901. The curved lines in the middle of the clock symbolise radio signals radiating outwards from the V shape transmitter into space. By the 1920's wireless radio was regularly being broadcast into millions of homes and providing entertainment in a completely new way. Here's a rare and Exquisit Vintage Antique Pre-1900 Fly Fishing Reel(made of wood + brass + horn) it has a click drag which is engaged/disengaged ... moreby the brass button on the back. All gears and drag working parts are made of brass. Reel handles are made of some type of horn with brass fittings. brass button on front is to remove spool from seat. The spool and the back of the reel seat are made of unknown hardwood with some light grooves engraved into them. The back of the spool and the reel seat have some machined tin or aluminum so that dirt doesn't enter the drag assembly. Reel has no indication of manufacturer Working condition is excellent. Click drag works great- you could take this out and fish with it immediately. Spool spins freely on spindle when drag is removed. Note: one tooth is broken on the drag gear, see photos- doesn't effect operation. Visual condition is excellent. Shows no sign of wear, except where your finger nail would rub next to the handle and wood has a scratch or two and neither are really even worth mentioning. Finish is still glossy and no bare spots- may have been just lacquered and not stained. Reel foot shows no sign of wear. Up for bids is this old clock works from a kitchen clock. It is marked Waterbury Clock Co. Also marked 6 1/2 inch. Seems complete other than a pendulum. Springs look good. Has the face. Which has some paint around the brass edges, the alarm mech and bell, the chime bellstriker thing, and the main works. Comes with all or most of the screws. The face is approx 6 3/8 across. The finish on it is crazed and wore a bit. Slight dent on rim of face. The works looks complete and the governor will spin when the hands are turned.It also will strike a few times. Up for auction is this Antique Waterbury"Fargo" Kitchen/Parlor Clock. This clock is an estate find; this is what I've been able to learn about it(please examine photos carefully) Clock measures approximately 22.5" high and 15" wide at the base. Case is crafted from beautiful golden oak with detailed carving. The only flaw is a mended piece at the very top of the decorative crown; it is noticeable from the front mostly because it is a slightly darker shade of wood(see pictures) Clock door has good hinges; glass appears to be original and wavy. With a reverse-painted Victorian pattern. Has original dial with Waterbury mark. Pendulum is also original and appears to be made of ornate brass or bronze. Mechanically. The clock works great. It runs on an 8-day brass spring-driven movement, and strikes on the hour and half-hour ... moreon a coiled gong. Ingraham& Co. Bristol. Conn. and the movement is marked E. Ingraham Co. Pat'd Oct. 8, 78 Nov. 11, 79. This clock is 24 in. high, 16 in. wide and 5 in. deep. It runs and keeps good time. Up for auction is a Wonderful Antique Oak Ingraham Gingerbread Mantel/Shelf Clock With an Alarm. Circa 1890-1910. The clock's dimensions are approximately; H- 21" W- 16" D- 5.5" The Case: The oak case is in good physical condition. There are no broken or chipped parts. The case retains its original finish and has a great patina with some"alligatoring" A lot of times you see these type of clocks refinished. I believe to keep them in therir original condition. A clock that is 100-120 years old should have a certain amount of"alligatoring" and"patina" to it. There is a label on the back. Its difficult to read, but says"Vesta" model. Blue Delft case is in excellent physical condition. The Dial/Face: The paper on the face has some worn areas. Please see photos. Made in Germany, has a surface repair on the upper right. Seems to be overwound and I could not wind it so does need attention. The clock movement requires a pendulum which is not included. Up for auction is an antique Wm. L. Gilbert kitchen style mantle or shelf clock for the Victorian Era. This clock is 21 in. high. 14 in. wide and 4 1/4 in. deep. The movement is marked Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co. Winsted, Conn. U.S.A. Pat. June 3, 1879. The clock runs and keeps good time. It gongs on the hour. The painted decoration on the door is worn and the face is worn as shown. There is a working key included although not the original. The very top of the clock appears to have been broken off a long time ago. It still displays nicely. This is an all original Delft Kitchen Wall Clock. Running and WORKS! It has the Key and Pendulum. I Love My Clocks and I think you will too! I think it is a Kienzle, you will see a green K on the back. It has a# 5 embossed on the back as well as 1185 52 1H. On the Front it is Marked Germany, 8-Day, with the two arrows crossing. Hanging and Operation: Easy to hang and easy to operate. I use a piece of cardboard on the back of it when it is hung. It has a hanger you see at the top for the nail or screw you put it on. You will see another bracket at the bottom for a second nail or screw. This adjusts it from the wall. I do not care for that complicated extra whole method. I have a perfect cut piece of cardboard and will send it to you as well. You just slide that behind the clock and it brings it just enough off the wall that it is flat. You ... moreneed to have the clock level for running. That is what this does. You can not see the cardboard and it protects your wall from minor movement when winding as well. Key slides easy and turns well to wind. Do not over wind clocks. Count your windings and make that your standard. The Key hole is marked so you will always no which way to wind your clock. COOL FEATURE NOT ALL HAVE* on the side of the clock is a hook for the key to hang. I have several of this clocks and have sold others. Not all have this. Condition: This clock is Running and Working. It has some crazing and discoloration spotting. I like the individual character each clock has. Please look over the Photo's for best example. You will get the clock that is pictured. I don't know alot about it, but it is working, seems to be in excellent condition, and is very very old. I listed this one just like one that I saw sell for around $200, and I'm not sure that one even worked! The pendulum swings like it is supposed to, it has the key to wind it up, the alarm went off while I was messing with it, or it may have been that it was on midnight and chiming, not sure. It also chimes every so often and makes a few different sounds, like a clock like this should, it is awesome! And again, it seems to work perfect! The casing is wooden, I believe it is rosewood, has beautiful carvings on it, the glass on the front has good looking etchings. The clock has lots of markings on the back, see pics. I did not clean it cause I didn't want to mess with the originality, this ... moreis a very very old clock, an I can't believe that it actually works! The clock stands 22" tall and is 15" wide. You may have to wind the clock again to get it started. To do this, you simply use the key, and turn the screws on the clock face. They both turn in towards each other. And I turned the bottom gold key to see what it did, not sure what that does. But in sure if your a clock collector, you should know how to work this one. Up for auction is an antique New Haven oak pressed back kitchen style shelf or mantle clock from the early 1900's. The movement is marked with the New Haven trademark. The clock is 23 in. high. 14 in. wide and 4 1/2 in. deep. It runs and keeps good time. The clock gongs on the hour and the half hour. There is a newer replacement key included. Antique/Vintage Ansonia Carlton Kitchen Clock Running Striking well. Looks like new. Now this is a beautiful clock. It has seen a lot of history(1901) but still has a new looking case although I'm sure it has not been restored. see the photos) It's an Ansonia as labeled on the movement. The cathedral gong and the catalogue. This clock is running and striking very well. The glass has what looks to me like its original silver transfer on the door glass which adds to the original character and thus makes it more desirable. The pendulum is the usual Ansonia bullseye style and the clock runs reliably so I don't think it needs any attention. It is striking the hours, counting out the hours on the hour on its resonating cathedral coil gong also original and labelled.
