The glass front face has been removed and I know the clock's mainspring needs to be replaced/ fixed as is has been overwound. The clock does not run. The case is in good shape and the bottom door has it's original glass. The clock comes with the pendulum bob and key. The face of the clock is a little dirty, but is original. This wonderful longcase clock is a genuine antique timepiece by James Thistle of Williton. It is a classic example with an 8 day duration movement striking the hours on a bell with white dial showing both seconds. Date and with matching blued steel hands. The corners painted with flowers and foliage. The mahogany case with well figured veneers and elegant inlay. The hood with pillars and swan neck top with brass paterae and a central brass finial. It is the customary size nice and big with about 5 to 6 inches deep. The glass is intact. Now the clocks age is probably around 1860s and chimes on the half hour and full hour. Most Ogees are ONLY 30 hour clocks. This one has nice old works(might not be the ones that original but old and in excellent condition) AND THE BEST PART.IT IS A SEVEN YES 7 DAY CLOCK. Who the heck wants to wind a clock every 30 hours. That is the reason we kept this so long. It does have a lovely melodious chime and keeps time nicely. My husband got this from his friend who is a clock restorer for over 46 years. so it is cleaned and maintained. Everything is there.nothing missing. Who are very light sleepers or who did not wish to be disturbed in a certain area of the home or office, perhaps. You see this automatically on the porcelain face with the one turning. It was also made without a glass bezel. This is an old clock.not sure how old, but very old. The face and all parts of clock are intact, NO chips, etc. It is signed on the bottom in pencil(some past owner from the 19c) with a name. It is written in the old script style of writing of that era. Maybe you are better at translating than I. It has French original works and is a great time keeper. No problems at all. My husband's friend is a clock restorer and it has been cleaned and maintained. No married ... morepieces or such. Both the works and the penduleum have same numbers, so if you are a clock expert, you can look it up with probably some resource book that is out of edition. The clock measures 12" high. 9 1/2" wide and 4 1/4" deep. The gilt seems to be all original as well and the lady is probably one of the French royalty. The French were famous for that. The white stone is onyx which I understand is a type of marble. Whatever.it is very lovely with no chips. It sits on 4 little bun feet done in stone as well. It is adourned with more gilt decorations. All intact. Shipping is $39 due to weight and extra packing. That includes insurance. Ship fees have skyrocketed. Rare Chelsea clock. In good working condition. Features a Chinese scene with vibrant red.Black and gold colors. Wind up, with the capability to speed it up or slow it down. The easel stand is no longer attached, but it is included so that it could be re attached. Measures 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" Has beveled glass. There are a couple of minor scratches on the glass and also a small chip on the underside of the glass in the upper corner. All of these flaws are visible in the pictures. This is a very heavy piece! The clock measures 9 1/2" tall and 6 3/4" wide. I will bring it to my clock man this week to get it cleaned and up and running. It has a light that needs rewiring, as the wire was cut when purchased in France. But I have enjoyed it for many years without the light. The clock works perfectly and still has its bird. Porcelain Wall Clock.It is roughly 10 inches in Diameter and was Made in France and is Marked as such on the front.The Condition is Good except for a tiny flea bite at the tip of my finger.I talked to a Glass Doctor at a Arts Fair and he said it would be a very easy fix considering its size.The Back is Marked.Gien,France with a Castle Image.The movement also is Marked,Bulova and France as well as some other marks.I should also mention the Plate appears very old from my observation at looking at the back of it.
