Allow me to say I know nothing about clocks. If you recognize the clock and have any information. Would you please email it to me. On the back is a metal ... moreplate with"Tyni Switch" on it and I assume is the model name. Also stamped in the black chassis is The Sessions Clock Co. Forestville, Conn, and in another area 60 cycles. Clock motor 25 watt, and 110V AC. There are three wires for connecting the clock's electrical motor to a power source. One black, yellow and red wire. The clock is all metal with a round glass face plate. The brass edging is not real brass, but brass-plating. The four knobs are plastic. The face of the clock has a total of seven different colors used for the graphics. It is roughly 3 1/2 inches in diameter. About 3" deep, and weights about a pound. It looks like it belongs on the polished burl-wood dashboard of a 1949 Cadillac. The face-plate is in almost perfect condition. The scratches in the photos on the gold rim are from light reflecting off the brass plating. But there are very minute scratches from cleaning and polishing. But you only see them when the light hits them just right. They look like ones in a car's polished finish, which even a soft cloth can cause. You only see them in the right light. Three of the four control knobs are working. And you pull them out to engage the gears. Only the knob for the sleep setting is frozen and not working. The knob for the alarm is a little stiff and you have to wiggle it as you pull it out to engage the gears. We should assume the clock is not working. And is being sold as non-working. It's a really cool looking clock. With great colors, straight out the late 1940s early 1950s. I do not know the exact date of manufacture and its only a"best guess" on my part. But from the quality of the metal parts used in the construction, and the real glass face-plate, its a very nice clock, worth repairing or re-building. The finish on it is crazed and wore a bit. Slight dent on rim of face. The works looks complete and the governor will spin when the hands are turned.It also will strike a few times. Offered in as-found condition in a Colonial Pennsylvania farmhouse recently: 1835-1840s Forrestville Manufacturing Company large mahogany case 8 Day OGEE Clock. With gong, weight driven movement. Missing the key, and a bit of veneer in one corner. Dial face is hand painted on wood and has a section peeled off. Case is nice overall, with the usual wear expected for having survived 150+ years. Original top glass and bottom glass, which has a reverse painting entitled"View in Liverpool" Some paint loss on this, but probably reproduceable. Has the original pulleys on top. Door is fairly tight at the joints. Case is the same, save for the back board which has shrunk some with age. This clock comes from a family estate with no history as to its acquisition. The clock was manufactured by the Douglas Clock Co. and has the Birmingham- 925- 1905 hallmarks. Douglas Clock Co. made dresser sets amongst other pieces. It runs and has a key attached to it. We have left the clock exactly as found leaving the ribbon and key in place. You can see the surface dings which are obviously accentuated due to the enlarged photos and bright lighting. It displays nicely from a normal viewing distance and in room light. I did not take the back off as the set screws are so tiny I didn't want to risk stripping anything. The time set works normally and it winds smoothly. I wound it a couple of times and gave it a little shake. It started right up. Sounds good and all of the hands appear to work properly. This dates the clock between 1894 and 1902. The case is made of sterling silver and has a wonderful design. It stands 12.5 cm or 5 inches and weighs 730 grams unpacked. It is in good cosmetic condition but is not working. At a scrap value for silver of $0.64 per gram this has a scrap value of $467.00. The clock's rosewood casing is in excellent sturdy condition. Only flaws being minor wear along the bottom, and two small chip on the veneer. On the bottom left side. Here is a desktop German beehive or mantle clock marked J.E. Caldwell& Co. Philadelphia on the dial. And marked Winterhalter and Hofmeier on the back of the movement. It is in excellent condition. And measures about 11.5" tall, 8.5" wide at the base, and about 5 3/4" deep at the base. The casing is in excellent condition. And the clock works fine. I cannot attest to the timing, however, so you'll have to adjust it on your own. There is no key accompanying this clock. But it does wind and work fine. The clock has two gongs/ hammers on the inside. And it makes a gong every quarter hour. It gongs the appropriate number of times on the whole hour. The casing is made of wood. The frame of the front glass is brass or bronze. And the dial is metal, perhaps brass as well. On the back of the inside of the rear door it reads"Made ... morein Germany" There are some clockmaker's scratch marks on the back of the rear door near the top. Column-and-Cornice Shelf Clock by Birge. Mallory& Co. Bristol, Connecticut, c. 1838 A classic column-and-cornice shelf clock by Birge. Mallory& Co. Bristol, Connecticut. I acquired the clock at the NAWCC 2009 National Convention in Grand Rapids, Michigan. At that time it was missing all four of its ball feet, the lunette mirror in the dial was gone, and the églomisé(or reverse paintings) in the middle and lower glasses were in a sad state. But with its original dial, glasses and otherwise good state of preservation, it had major potential, so I brought it home with me. I had a new mirror cut for the dial, had the movement cleaned, rebushed and oiled, sent the doors off to be redecorated by an expert églomisé artist in Ohio, and had four solid mahogany ball feet made by an antique furniture conservator in Pennsylvania(exact ... morecopies of originals) The movement is of eight-day duration and is original to the case. Its construction is strap brass, which is to say straps of brass riveted together at intersection points. Made by Birge, Mallory& Co. it employs Joseph Ives's patent rolling pinions and strike arrangement. There is a very well preserved original label inside the case, pasted to the backboard. The Empire-style case is constructed of mahogany veneers laid onto a pine carcass; there are very few repairs to the veneer and only the most miniscule of veneer loss, both consistent with the clock's age. This is a very fine example of its genre and certainly one of the nicest examples on the market today. It is in good running order and is ready to set up and enjoy. This is a very nice representation of American clockmaking history that has received a number of compliments. I almost hate to part with it but it’s time to move on to something else. This auction is for an antique New Haven Clock Co Banjo No. 3 clock. The back is signed and dated. Looks like the signature says Deleany possibly. The date is 1-9-41 G1 but I am not sure if this is a manufacture date. Serial# EC-611-23T. This clock functions when plugged in. It seems to take a couple of attempts to when advancing the button on the face but it has fired up every time I have tried. The ocean scene on the bottom is of some men rowing out to their ship. Please read condition notes and look at the pictures. The clock is usable as it is but needs work to get it perfect.

Antique Clock Seth Thomas and Co. Made January 1900 Selling a very beautiful Seth Thomas Clock made January 1900. It is in very nice condition. The clock does not have a mechanical movement. It is fitted with a chiming quartz movement which will stop chiming from 9pm and recommence at 6am. Handy for sleeping! No winding just look and enjoy this beautiful piece. It has had a new paper dial(numbers) fitted. The bezel dial and glass are in excellent condition and the hinge has had minimal wear. The overall finish on the case is extremely good considering its age with no peeling of the finish and the imitation marble pieces are still almost as new. There are only a few small blemishes that would go with the age of this old piece. Please study the pictures yourself. The year of manufacture is stamped on the bottom of the clock in reverse.With ... morea letter next to it. which for some strange reason is what they did with letters from A to L for each month of the year. A beautiful Victorian clock is up for your consideration. This must have been one exquisite clock when it was brand new as the beauty still shows. It was made by the Gilbert Clock Co. out of Winsted. Conn. USA. There is a paper sticker on the back which reads L. J. Diehl Jeweler and Optician and a pencil mark which reads either 1914 or 1915. This may have been the place of purchase or may have been there for maintenance or repair. On the bottom of the clock is a paper sticker as well which tells the manufacturer and the word FRANCE which may be the style name. The clock is large and heavy measuring 15-1/2" long at the base, stands 11-1/2" and the depth is 6" The clock is made primarily of black wood with a maroon marble color wood both above and below the pillars in front. It has brass legs, pillar trim, side handles and the ... moretrim around the clock face. There is scroll work on the front bottom and hopefully you can see that in the third picture. The clock will run for a couple minutes and stop, maybe it has been over wound. It does ding once on the half hour and dongs on the hour, two times for two o'clock, three times for three o'clock and so on. The clock mechanism itself looks fine and reads Gilbert Clock Co. and there is a 1905 imprint, perhaps the year it was made. Bascially the clock is in good condition for its age but there is no glass clock face cover and there is no key for winding. Thank you for looking.

There is a great old label on the inside with all of the internal works being there along with pendulum and key. I only purchased this clock for display and I am selling it as non-working altough I have never tried to get it going. The case is in overall good condition with only small imperfections and I believe it has it's original finish. It measures approx26 by 15 1/4 by 4 1/4. For your consideration is this: Antique Cuckoo Clock Description: This beautifully crafted antique cuckoo clock is approximately 16" tall. 13 1/2" wide, and 6 3/4" thick without the pendulum and chains. The pendulum is approximately 8 1/2" long, and the two chains are each approximately 60" long when at their maximum possible length. The clock face is approximately 6" in diameter. One of the weights is approximately 6" in length and the other is approximately 7" in length. Each side of the clock has a small door that opens to reveal the internal gears. These doors may be used to set the clock. The back panel of the clock may also be removed to access the clock's internal workings. This clock is a masterful piece of woodworking decorated with an ornate wood flower pattern and inlaid wood bars. The ... moreoutside of the clock is almost entirely wood. This is a very lovely chinese shelf clock.Spring wind and strike 8 day clock.It is 18 inces high 5 inches deep and 10 inches wide weighing about 7 lbs.Made by the precious time clock manufacturing co. of Chefoo,China,sort of the Hong Kong of the pre ww2 days,thus this clock was made for export,most likely brought back to the U.S. by navy personell as Chefoo was a port for the U.S.N. pre ww2.I bought it from the west coast U.S. It has an original brass movement,keeps good time and strikes on the hour.There is a hand painted dragonfly and lily pad with flowers on the inside of the bottom glass. Orton Preston & Co. Wooden Works Regulator Shelf Clock Circa 1820-1830
Up for auction is a very rare all wooden works regulator shelf clock manufactured by Orton Preston& Co. Farmington, Conn. Circa 1820-1830. This company produced clocks only during this time frame. The clock is in very good condition. It is weight driven with two cast weights. Includes the original wind up handle. The works are all wooden with brass bushings. The top glass is original. The bottom glass has been replaced at some point. It originally would have had a reverse painting. The case is of pillar/scroll type and is 32" high x 16 1/2" wide x 4 1/2" deep. The veneer is in very good condition. There is a manufacturer's instruction sheet glued to the inside of the case which tells you how to set the clock. I do not have the key for the door. I have had this clock running fine in the past, but it will not consistently ... morerun right now. I think it needs a good cleaning and adjustment. The interior works come apart easily with metal pins and wooden pegs holding everything together. Here's an opportunity to own a piece of early 19th century American history!
