The painted images appear to be allegorical figures of four children in costume. Handsomely painted on a elegantly shaped porcelain body.from the pedestal foot of the cup to the top of the rim that flares upwards and out. Also notice the lovely gilded floral handle ends at the bottom with the head of a ram. Take your time and examine all the photos to really appreciate what is presented on this piece! Embellished heavily in gold on a cobalt blue background, this cup and saucer exhibits a lot of charm and would enhance any collection of antique porcelain. The saucer measures 4.25" wide Both have a shield[beehive? and"made in Germany" with the number 49 that seems to be under glaze. There is a suspicious'Dot' on the saucer. That when magnified appears to be an impressed mark filled with gold and glazed over. There is a small chip on the brim[seen in photos] and the gold is worn in very few areas. I was told that the gold is 24k and this piece dates back over 100 years. But neither of those statements I can verify. Tiny fragile porcelain demitasse cup and saucer– Deep green border gold gilt portrait romantic couple– Signed below the young man– Fragonard– French rococo painter( 1732-1806) Porcelain is very fine– base is almost translucent Size of cup: 2 inches high; diameter at the top approx 2 inches Size of saucer: sides slant upward– measuring diameter on the front side– approx 4 ¼ inches. Limoges mark that I have been unable to identify– please see notes below on research- Backstamp: Shield w/ crown logo and then an additional deep green backstamp mark on top of the gold gilt mark– Gold gilt logo– Veritable Porcelaine Art Made in France w/ an additional Gold mark inside of the shield that I cannot make out. IF or UF or U) Another Limoges mark over it- Deep green mark has additional markings inside of the circular Limoges France mark– looks like ... morean? SS? Research regarding this art work– piece by“Jean-Honoré Fragonard. 1732-1806) was a French painter of the rococo age. Who became popular in the courts of Louis XV and Louis XVI for his delicately colored scenes of romance. Often in garden settings. Fragonard was born in Grasse on April 5. 1732. At the age of 18, he began to study painting in Paris with Chardin. But he formed his style principally on the work of his next master. François Boucher. Fragonard won the Prix de Rome in 1752. He studied in Italy from 1756-1761. In 1765 he was admitted to the Académie Royale. The French Revolution(1789-1799) Which destroyed the nobility on which Fragonard depended for commissions. Ruined him financially. He died poor in Paris on August 22. 1806. Condition: beautiful porcelain– very fine– No chips. No cracks. No crazing– Colors are still vivid and bright– very little wear to the gold gilt– the only flaw I see is one pencil point dot wear to the deep forest green border color on the saucer– some of the white porcelain shows through in this one small tiny area. Sevres Here we offer a Rare Coffee Can Cup& Saucer that is French Sevres Porcelain Manufactory. Coffee or Chocolate Can or Cup with Saucer dating from the Napoleonic Era of 1800's. These two pieces feature a beautiful sky blue background with hand painted Portrait. The handled"can" or cup has an exquisitely detailed center portrait of the queen or princess of the time period. The portrait is signed by the artist on the bottom(see photo) There is also the french mark written in red for Sevres. The interior of the cup is gilded along with the fancy molded handle. The cup and saucer are elaborately decorated with superb mat and gloss gilded borders& scrolling which demonstrate the finest of Sevres gilding craftsmanship. The center of the saucer has a huge elaborate gold"Star" Both pieces are fine thin transparent ... moreporcelain. There are see through when held up to the light. Both pieces are hallmarked on the base with the studio hallmark"M. Imp. de Sevres" mark of the Napoleonic era. It was hard to get photos that show the true beauty and artistry that this piece displays in person. The saucer measures 4 3/16" in diameter. The cup is 3 3/8" tall x 2 5/16 at its largest diameter. There are no chips or cracks. There is one small'as made' mark on the cup and saucer. I show this in the last 2 photos. Please see all pics. They are part of the description. Antique Sevres Morin cup & saucer portrait heavy gold rams head Madame Bonaparte
This is fresh from a local estate that was loaded w fine porcelain. The cup measures just short of 3 1/2 inches tall and is 3 inches in diameter. The saucer is 5 1/4 inches in diameter. There is some wear to the center gilding on the saucer, also to a few of the raised gold dots. Slight wear to some of the gold on the handle. Beautiful Antique Gold Decorated Portrait Cup and Saucer set. Has raised gold décor with two portrait figures inside cup. Outside the cup and saucer, pink and red roses on a light green background. Very beautiful! Comes with the twisted wire stand. Antique Vtg Signed "Duchess of Budapest" Portrait Cup Saucer Gold Trim Beautiful
This Lovely cup and saucer set is part of a set of six I am listing. Each one features a famous lady of the times. Showing a photo of the entire set so you can see how Beautiful they are together. The elderly lady I purchased them from said they were part of a teaset but the pot got broken a long time ago and she could not remember the maker. Which was on the underside of the teapot. Each made of delicate porcelain and hand painted. This one features a painting of the"Duchess of Budapest" I believe as it is hard to make out the signature. Actually I am not certain of the name of the lady signed below the portrait. If anyone knows for certain would appreciate hearing from you. Trimmed in medium green and gold decorated in many areas. Condition is excellent with no chips or cracks that I can detect. Some of the photos show white areas ... morewhich are only glare from camera flash. Sorry. Painted areas in real nice shape. Bavaria Tea Cup & Saucer Victorian Woman Hand Painted Geschutzt Portrait
Up for auction is an antique portrait tea cup and saucer. There are TWO women on the cup. One on each side. The portraits are oval shaped and framed with gold that's embossed with swirls. It has a scrolling design on each side of the gold frame in addition to a gold border and very tiny gold beading. There's wear to the gold trim on both the cup and the saucer. There's no chips, cracks or crazing. I've photographed the bottom of the cup, there's a picture logo with the words Louise and geschutzt, the bottom of the saucer only has the picture on it. I believe it's Bavarian/German probably from the turn of the century. It's a beautiful set and I've never seen another like it. Feel free to ask any questions, and thank you for looking.

Hi!I have an Antique Raised Relief Porcelain Demi Tea Cup& Saucer. The Tea Cup has a Victorian Ladies Portrait on the front and an ornate gold gilded handle. It's 2.5" tall and 2" diameter.
