Mauve and pink/red The end of World War I created a host of new countries in Europe. Among them. The major importers to the United States were Poland, Hungary, and especially Czechoslovakia. Items with these marks dated between about 1920 and 1939 when WWII began. Variations in spelling help date these items. Czecho-slovakia(with a hyphen) dates an item as having been produced in the 1920s. After WWII, there were very few imports from these countries because of the Soviet occupation, ... morealthough considered trade continued with Poland. Many Christmas ornaments were imported from Poland in the 1950s because border changes left much of the German glass industry into Poland. ANTIQUE KUZNETSOV RUSSIAN PORCELAIN DEMITASSE CUP & SAUCER CA 1850-1910
Up for auction. Two beautiful and delicate, Antique Kuznetsov Demitasse Cups and Scalloped Saucers. These are hand painted porcelain, circa 1840-1910. There are no chips or cracks, there is some color loss on one of the cups by the handle, one of the flowers on one saucer, some loss of gilding. The designs on the sets is slightly different, but they are hand painted, so there will be slight variances. These are really in good condition for their age. Nice colors! Pretty PEWTINA design cup and saucer by PCD Auburn CA.
Up for auction is this oh so collectable PEWTINA design cup and saucer. The handpainted pieces are of multi colored daisies and purple iris with greens against a white background. The set is in excellent condition with no cracks. Chips or repairs and is very dainty and feminine. This would make a perfect addition to anyones collection. LOVELY VICTORIA BLUE CZECH PORCELAIN FLORAL DEMITASSE CUP AND SAUCER, ca. 1919
What a charming little porcelain demitasse cup and saucer: a lovely turquoise blue glaze on the cup’s exterior and a cup interior featuring a delicate bouquet of pink and purple flowers against a pure white background. The mark on both pieces reads“Victoria Czechoslovakia HU” This is Victoria’s pattern 253. Which was produced in a number of colors and discontinued in 1919, making this set at least 95 years old and making its exceptionally good condition all the more remarkable. There are no nicks, cracks, scratches or marks. There are two slight underglaze indentations that were formed in the manufacturing process; they are not flaws. The cup is 2 inches high and 2 inches across. The saucer is 4 1/4 inches in diameter. Fine Hand Painted Porcelain Cup& Saucer Artist Sgd J Henke Kalamazoo MI Ca 1910 Offered is a beautifully hand painted porcelain cup& saucer set painted in the early 1900's by artist Josef Henke. Mr. Henke was a native of Kalamazoo. MI, and was a regionally known porcelain artist from ca. 1900 to 1940. One of the artist's favorite flower subjects was the forget-me-not and this cup and saucer feature them-blue with yellow centers, along with green leaves and brown stems. The background color is pale yellow. Gilding is on the rim with a second gilded band 3/4" below. Mr. Henke was especially skilled at shading colors and this plate has pink shading on one side of the flowers and peachy orange on the other with blue at the top between the gilded bands. The cup is signed"J. Henke" and the porcelain was made by J& ... moreC of Bavaria. The set is in fine condition with no chips. Item: RARE"Le Roi de Rome" Napoleon SEVRES Coffee Can Cup Saucer. Ca 1800's! Sevres Porcelain Manufactory Coffee or Chocolate Can or Cup with Saucer dating from the Napoleonic Era of 1800's. These two pieces feature a dark hunter green painted ground. The handled"can" or cup has an exquisitely detailed center portrait of the child. Napoléon François Joseph Charles Bonaparte or"Le Roi de Rome" the title Napoleon gave to his son and heir apparent. The portrait is signed by the artist in the lower right corner(see photo) The interior of the cup is gilded along with the handle. The cup and saucer are elaborately decorated with superb mat and gloss gilded frames and scrolling which demonstrate the finest of Sevres gilding craftsmanship. This is a GORGEOUS Antique Small Porcelain Bluish-Green Lustre Ware Tea Cup and Saucer with wonderful Gold Gilding ca. 1893-1923. This Beauty measures 2 1/2" in height with a 1 1/4" base and 2 1/2" mouth for the cup and the saucer at 4 3/4" Both the cup and saucer have a swirled design in the porcelain and a scalloped edge. The Gold Gilding is beautiful with the cup having the base. Rim, and handle and the saucer having a gilded rim and center. ELEGANT FINE PORCELAIN COBALT BLUE GOLD CUP & SAUCER ca 1900, FAB CONDITION
This elegant and very fine quality cobalt. Gold and white porcelain cup and saucer set is believed to date to the turn of the last century, but that is not confirmed. Though it is reminiscent of early Spode, the maker could not be determined through extensive online research or by replacements.com. The fine porcelain suggests a top-end manufacturer: it is so thin and translucent that it is easy to see your fingers through the porcelain. The set's classic beauty would complement any number of high quality porcelain sets. Whether traditional or modern, or make a beautiful display item as part of a cup and saucer collection. The cup has the number 2 and what appears to be the letter G impressed on the base. The saucer is unmarked. There is minor wear to the gold on the cup and significant wear to the saucer’s gold. Porcelain is very nice, glossy and smooth, reminds me of the best German porcelain. Cup is 3.5" and saucer is 6" across- no chips, cracks, or stains- I would love to own a complete set of this. This is a GORGEOUS Antique Porcelain White Lustre Tea Cup and Saucer with wonderful Gold Gilding ca. 1893-1923. This Beauty measures 3" in height x 3" wide to the handle.The saucer measures 5" in diameter. The Gold trim is in near perfect condition. And branches with flowers and leafs. Very elegant handle. It looks like a branch. It's hand-painted and remarkable as shown in the pictures. The porcelain is very fine and of egg-shell quality and transparency Ott& Brewer were manufacturing their wares in Trenton. NJ from 1863-1901. They began producing Irish Belleek around 1882. Ca 1835. Hand-painted porcelain, cabinet cup/saucer. All roads lead to early Samuel Alcock. Ca.1835 This setup is stunning! The porcelain is a has a bright, white ground. There is a floral chain or swag garland around the inner rims of both cup and saucer.The"melting snow" shape is present. Royal blue and mauve petals are chained together with unevenly placed gilt swags(being off-kilter actually ADDS to the charm)There is a gilt rim to the cup and saucer's edge. gilt rings to the interior well of the saucer and the center of the cup and handle. The handle is in an unusual. Offset pattern, as well. The saucer has a well, rather than laying flat like a utilitarian one. The cup is#d.with what appears to be 219.
